How does one progress up when constantly faced with tankers?

Does Pixonic want me to Google War Robots hacks just to have a chance against the tankers? it seems to be the position they're shoving me into. eye for an eye.

I am currently tanking in gold league too,although my weap lvl are 8/9 and bots are lvl 5-8 unlike those max mk1/2
when you reach up to expert 2 we get matched against champs peep ( max leaugue I have climbed till now is expert 2),now those whales and peeps with max stuff kills expert peeps like flies.i can keep up against expert players although against champs I can’t . I won’t say that doing same thing by dropping is right but at the end the main fault is of pix . Just a simple question for you. If I keep on playing at expert while facing champ with far lower lvl gears then how do you expect me to upgrade items ?. I started tanking during this event,previously I played fairly in expert 2. I had around 3.2k victories when I was at expert 2 however you should had seen my hanger. Anyone who had seen it would had laughed, and I had only 4 slots .
As I said above I started tanking at start of dec mostly and now I have a bulg,kumiho,shocktrains,5th slot and around 2k gold which I won’t say is too got but far better then what I could had hoped at expert. At expert to get this things it would had tanked atleast 3-4 months and ofc loving up takes quite a lot of time too .By the time those stuff would be lvled up a bit (10-11) they would had been nerfed or new bots would be introduced which are far more powerful than them.

To keep up with currently constant,y changing meta either you can tank or pay for it.Now if you are a f2p player tanking is only opetion you got. Ofc its not a fault at all of lower leaugue players and newbies however as I said above it’s pix fault for making game like this not me/us (tankers). Although I won’t stand for any tankers who do it for fun to kill lower leaugues player bots for fun

P.s - haven’t climbed to expert after mm changed so I can’t say how it is up there now although previously it was same as lower league players faced tankers ,peeps just use diff word and calls them whale 

That is a different form of tanking, you did this because you're facing unbalanced DIESS gear champion players or "whales".

You're only tanking in the Gold league which is mid league, it's not a problem since everyone's hanger is fairly levelled up to this point and they have a chance to fight back at you, but if you went as low as bronze or silver then yes I would be concerned because those are still starter leagues for beginners.

I've been in silver 1/2 league for awhile, I play on and off, didn't really want to take it seriously to climb up any further and now with supply drops coming in the next update I'm trying my best to get into higher leagues and my goal is Gold 1.

Whenever I play a game, I want to go higher to make progress in the game and the only obstruction preventing me from doing so is P2W who is my long time enemy which I see in nearly all online PVP games.
