What's up with the league system?

Edited the 1st post for the tanker on the red team.

I find having a name to be pointless and makes no difference if I have one or not.

If anything, it's unfair because the Gold guy has 5 slots, the 2nd silver guy below him has an LV7 Lancelot and if they were on the red team then my team would be crushed easily.

Look at the scores to see what I mean.

First we need to know the difference between WoT and War Robots.

WoT has over 450+ tanks available meaning a large number of tanks per tier. War Robots does not have but about 27 bots with light, medium, and heavy stats with unique characteristics for specials such as dash, rush, etc. In WoT you can change turrets, guns, tracks, and engine but the actual affect on the tank is negligible compared to the difference of a level 6 Griffin vs a level 12 MK2 Griffin. Thus matching tanks doesn't change drastically due to "leveling". An example would be a fully upgraded Tiger I won't "death button" a zero upgraded Tiger I (unless ammo racked) every time while the MK2 Griffin with DB weapons will destroy a fresh Griffin pretty much every time. Of course in WoT every shot has to count so a skilled fresh Tiger I could take out a fully loaded Tiger I while a noobless wonder could fling hydra's and aphid's all day from a low level Griffin and take an MK2 out...but that is another story.

War Robots is supposed to look at the total level of a hangar to make matches and I am pretty sure this is complete bull?poo-poo?. MK2 Silver league "tanking" idiots are around as well as single bot hangars in Expert matches. While player level is supposed to affect where you stand it only does any good in keeping you from getting better bots, WSP, or anything else limited to a higher player level.

The real matchmaking in War Robots is by league level and your current league ranking. This is why we see "tanking" and why the matchmaker is completely useless and you may get decent battles 1-2 times out of every 5 with the rest being drawn out leaver/quitter morons and seal clubbing jackwagons screwing up the matches. Player skill level ranking is non-existent in War Robots. Wins and losses in a team game do not give an accurate description of skill level. However since Pixonic does show kills, caps, and damage they could actually create skill level rankings that make sense...but I am pretty sure they are not smart enough to figure that out. Game has been out for years and their matchmaking is still ?poo-poo?.

You should not see extreme swings in league levels in matches with domination or beacon rush but it does happen and I have seen a lot worse than what you have posted especially if there are squads. I would be less concerned with what league someone is in and more towards what their number of victories, max damage, and their last 50 battles stats are. Seeing someone with 2000+ victories, max damage of 2M+, and then last 50 way below 40% and low damage average would suggest a "tanking" tard has come to seal club.

In your above screenshots the gold guy probably spent some real cash to get the 5000 Au for a fifth slot or he won it. He has leveled up pretty quick and has some pretty expensive bots...won or real money? Your tanker guy is just an idiot...and looks more like a setup for beacon running. If you want to die fast you don't put ECU's on. Additionally he is one of two with no tickets collected. Probably LQ. This is probably normal matchmaking for TDM. I would stop playing it and pick domination or BR. I get more kills in those modes and there are beacons that can give you gold.

There is nothing fair in War Robots. It is just bots and boosting/tanking ?fluffy bunny? stains.

I just finished a battle where I was the lowest league member. I just became Silver I, in my last matchup there was a Diamond league and the rest were Gold I and II. I came in fourth place. I guess it's good practice but you would think there would be at least one other Silver out of 12 participants.

so skill is also a factor in the War Robots MM?

Yeah, it's going to take time for people to update to the latest version. For the time being, it'll have to do for now because I'm not a fan of this uneven league system MM. take modern combat 5 for example...newbies face players level 120 which is absolutely unfair.

The MM is just based off of leagues and win % are factored in as well among little things here and there. While someone in a lower level league doesn't mean his gear couldn't possibly be higher than someone in a higher league than him. That indirectly implies there could be someone in a higher league with better skills than someone in a lower league with higher level weapons and lesser skills. Also you have to factor in people who are "tanking" or purposely dropping leagues to farm for resources or task related events to win awards since the game doesn't care or have any type of system for those sort of players with those goals in mind. MM has been a hot topic for the longest time and it's tough especially during events when people have different oriented goals in mind. Best approach is to team up in pairs or full squad to mitigate some of that imo. Good luck to you.

Because there is only one objective in TDM which is killing and it's easier to focus on one thing at a time. I prefer TDM over BR and DOM.

I think you are being out of line here to go as far to call someone who plays TDM dumb. People have different tastes and what they are looking for in entertainment may be different from yours, but by no means are they dumb for playing what they enjoy. I like TDM because I like to blow up bots.

Well said, ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48. I don't plan to play TDM much, if at all, but I'm not going to bag on those that do. It's the same for those who prefer Dom or BR. To each his/her own.

Learn from forums like these and see what works best for you. Additionally YouTube videos help with learning any game. One thing in games is to evaluate your own performance. Should I have jumped like that? Should I have gone for what beacon first? Did I evaluate the reds speed, size of target before engaging? Am I in a brawler or a sniper? TDM, BR, or dom? What map am I on?

I don't see any problem with getting to whatever league you want to get to. It all depends on what you learn, what bots work for you, how much time you put in, and how old will you be when you get all MK2 bots and weapons.
