Ok, sorry for being so noobish, but I think I'm missing something...
I've often read the advice "enter into the Ancile field with DB then fire.. " or maybe I misunderstood. Well I mostly used an Hellfire Rhino, and I always noticed the Ancile going away then the target armor. "Maybe I'm still too far away". Well, yesterday I ran a DB Rhino against an Ancilot and I'm pretty damn sure I was a close as possible, pushing against the Ancilot that stood still, to the point that bots were frenchkissing each other and again the Ancile protected from the rockets salvo (so no transmission of bad nanovirus, we kept the thing safe).
So, it's a bad assumption that you can bypass the Ancile just entering his field, or there's some other way to do it?
thanks
(cry) (so close to grab the beacon and victory) (damn)

Break the Ancile or walk into the bubble.
Once inside the rockets will damage the bot, it's shield and the Ancile all together.

when you get to point blank the Ancile still gets destroyed but you are also hitting the bot directly.
"Jumping into the Ancile" isn't really the way to do it you still take a ton of damage usually, it DOES work, but really only on a distracted target. The much better way is to tear the ancile down. You can still hit ancile long before you can see the bot around a corner, and when you do usually a team mate will finish the job( or vice versa). Teamwork is the very, very best way to deal with anything!

Couple of days ago I jumped perfectly inside an anclelots shield and gave him a tickle with my orks/pinatas but as flash said they have to be distracted. I was behind a building on powerplant, the ancilelot was fighting a team mate I got 120 M (the length of the griffs jump) away and jumped directly beside him, but it takes timing and placement to get it right. I've tried it a few times and that was probably only the 2nd time I got in without taking damage or having to get rid of the shield first.

You might not have had target lock yet. It happens to me a lot, especially when I do this with my Bulg. You have lock the target (in a Rhino), before you charge into the Ancile. In a Bulg, I have to crab walk or dash into the field, turn, wait for target, and then fire. Fujins are actually more deadly on account of the 3rd taran, and the fact that they're grouped together.

Iâ??ll say get a dash bot and dash inside the bubble and try same with a dB griffin..a dash will kill ancilot lot faster..I find it easy to kill tarancilot with my kumiho ( actually too easy if itâ??s alone) rather than going face to face with mag Leo with ancile....that ?poo-poo? is hard to kill with a kumiho coz of lot of hp and canâ??t dash in coz of continuous fire of mags..however if I dash in to ancilot both of them literally look like kissing each other and some how I take a lot less damage

I believe it was weaksauce who posted that tip on his dash bot analysis. That's why Fujins are harder to kill this way. 3 Tarans grouped together. They will break my shield pretty fast, so I have to get in under the bubble and unload and hope I kill him before he kills me.

To hit the body of the robot instead of the Ancile, you have to be less than 30m from the enemy robot

You'll destroy the ancile from inside due to splash while still wrecking the bot. That's why you saw the ancile lighting up. You were still damaging it fully, providing you were shooting on target. You just didn't kill it fast enough is all.
