Yes, ignore the negativity. Beyond the free chests, and WSP deals, many many many have new bots and weapons for free. Another event is just around the corner (XMAS) and the prize list looks fantastic so far. Lots of time and hard work and you can have them all. For FREE.

Everything can be earned for free...just takes time and being active. Save and spend your gold wisely and you will accumulate all you need. Then surplus gold can be used to acquire compenents quicker. Same goes for WSP. Don't sell surplus premium weapons/bots as you do not know when it will be relavant or useful again, and you will kick yourself if you find yourself needing gold to acquire something you sold for silver. Save all keys earned for silver or gold boxes; you will rarely get anything of value from the bronze chest (or even silver chests for that matter). That said, use the daily ad videos on bronze boxes, vice task progress or upgrades, as you may just get lucky and, if nothing else, it will help you get progress towards a super chest. Plus it helps acquire components. And lastly, as mentioned above, kill it in the events. It takes a LOT of effort, but it is possible to get all the rewards (and the rewards for the Christmas event look promising). Future events seem to be about every three months.
Spending money simply expedites things. Those who cashed out Dash Bots and MkII weapons didn't buy anything a F2P player can't earn. They merely saved themselves a years worth of game time and grinding lol

I want a Bulgi too!!!! And will kill it to earn one, even if I have to teach my daughters how to play and bribe them with icecream to capture beacons for me Personally, I hope they offer a few more awards that they did in the Halloween event, since the Christmas event has a longer duration. But the longer duration probably accounts for the holidays vice awards list. Guess time will tell.

I slurged and purched the Inquisitor when it was on sale, and had to throw my only two orkans on it. So need a couple more for the Kumi. That said, Kumi is my only dash bot, and discussions of its big brothers being OP aside, I love the dash function. It makes for fun and dynamic game play. It makes the griffin jump feel slow and sluggish lol. Anyway, congrats on the Kumi. boomboom we are two players, of many, who can confirm it is possible to earn all event awards. And as nice as dashbot junior is from the last event, the Bulgi is a formidable bot and definately worth the effort if you have the time and inclination to grind.

As for the task list, they seem to be relatively static so far. Another forum member did a break down. Gives a good idea of what your in for: the grind was a challenge but not unreasonable. Unless one was a tanker starting in bronze, the grind was estimated, quoting from the excellent krebby : "Assuming a 50% win rate on win tasks, you will need to play 416 games to reach the Kumiho. Assuming an average of 3 bot kills per match on kill tasks, you will need another 304 games to reach the Kumiho. Assuming an average of 2 beacon caps per match on cap tasks, you will need another 362.5 games to reach the Kumiho. In total, I estimate it will take about 1,082.5 matches to reach the Kumiho. Assuming your matches average 7.5 minutes, you're looking at spending more than 135 hours of in-match time, or more than 5-and-a-half days." Let's say you were very good or lucky, let's take 10% off that: so, 1000 games in.. what was, 2 or 3 weeks? "unreasonable": it doesn't mean what you think it means And be ready for craziness. Players go bonkers and you will see bots do crazy things. Be prepared. You may be on a win task and a random on your team is on beacons. They have 5 Cossacks and you may lose what might have been an easy win. Stay Calm and Fight On.

Last time it was harder because Im in champ league with only one dashbot. Thanks to last event, I now have two. Haechi and Kumiho.

One tip that works well, find a clan with bots in your league. Squad up whenever you can and communicate your task needs. Most players are helpful, and good teamwork will help complete most tasks faster.

The Bulg is a great bot, but nowhere near as powerful as the Haechi. It's not just the ancile shield over the physical shield covering one side, but also the dash recharge is faster on the Haechi than on the Bulg. That is pretty much my only complaint on the Bulg. It's a powerful, balanced (comparatively) bot, but the dash cooldown at 15 seconds is way too long.

Seems it would make it more balanced, if not still OP, tho. Biggest complaint against Haechi is the unlimited dash That all said, I'm still excited to add a Bulgi to my line-up

The only dash bot with "unlimited" cool down is the Kumiho at 5 seconds. The Haechi's cooldown is 12 seconds, and the Bulgasari's is 15 seconds. If anything, the Haechi should have the longest cooldown of the three. But, that's just my 2 cents...

It's a powerful, balanced (comparatively) bot, but the dash cooldown at 15 seconds is way too long. In my experience, the Bulg occupies the same relative power position as the Lance: it is a (the?) top tier brawler but not fundamentally unfair. The Kumiho is basically a power-creeped Rog, but it is hard to describe it as OP since the Rog is a dubious choice in top tier play anyway. But the Haechi, particularly if equipped with Orkans or Shock Trains, looks like it belongs in a different game altogether. The ancile shield means that it cannot reliably be whittled down. The Orkchi's ability to double-dash allows it to both ambush and escape while dealing enough damage (assuming fully loaded Mk2 Orkans) to kill almost every bot in under 3 seconds. And a fully charged Shock Train blast delivers nearly the same damage as a point-blank thunder shot, but instantly from 500m with target auto lock.

People will probably throw tomatoes at me, but I actually prefer the bulg to the haechi. I only started fielding these 2 bots in the last week and a half, so I may change my mind once I get through the learning curve with the haechi and get a couple more levels on it (at 9 now). The haechi seems to melt pretty quickly if you get caught in the open. I know you need to use ambush tactics etc, but even with the dashes, crossing an open area I end up at 30% health by the time I reach my destination. On the otherhand, the shield on the bulg is strong even if it is small! Once I learned the walking angle with that thing it has a decent level of tankiness that I like.

Has anybody here actually managed to to get one of those things without paying real money? If so what did you get and how? I got an ember, scourge and shocktrain by components' offers (I started with a pretty neat stockpile of Au and WSP to start with, tho) and I'm 92% done of one haeci. It's possible, alth long. And i did purchase some of the 600 Au for 89 € cents offers, so it wasn't totally free.

I don't have Haechi, but from what I've seen, you gotta play it like a Carnage - just with dash instead of rush. 3 shocktrains on it would be more OP than 3 shocktrains on both Fujin and Bulgasari. Keep it at around 500m, it's got a full time ancile (vs part time with Fujin), 12second dash cool down (vs 15 with Bulg), and it's got a decent walking speed, despite the nerf.

I completely agree with that. Shocktrain haechis are the most OP combo out there. Chamces of me getting 3 shocktrain in the foreseeable future are about 0. It is probably a play style thing for me. I rotated thunder/carnage and zues/carnage through my hangar, but never kept it in long. A couple ancilots are permanent fixtures in my hangar and are my favor bots to pilot....which is probably why I prefer the survivability of the bulg more. That said I would much rather face a red bulg than haechi.

At lease with a Taran Haechi, it'd be a pretty even fight, with the edge to the Haechi. All depends on whether I can corner it and get inside its Ancile.

At lease with a Taran Haechi, it'd be a pretty even fight, with the edge to the Haechi. All depends on whether I can corner it and get inside its Ancile. Even equipped with Tarans, the Bulg is at an objective disadvantage against an Orkchi. Let's assume a Bulg with Tarans and an Orkchi are standing right in front of each other and start shooting at the same time. A level 12 Bulg with 190k durability goes down in just a hair over 3 seconds against 3 Mk2 Orkans. Mk2 Tarans will do about 95K damage in the same amount of time—enough to take a good chunk out of a level 12 Haechi's 150k durability, but it wouldn't be a close fight. That must be why the Bulg has superior speed and maneuverability. Oh wait...

With Tarans, at least I have a bit of a range advantage, and it all comes down to timing...timing my dash to coincide with his to keep my beyond 300m. Sure, in a battle situation, it doesn't always happen like that - well almost never happen like that, but it's something! With an Orkan Bulg vs an Orkan Haechi, I'm toast about 9.9 times out of 10.

Say you only get WSP deals for a Haechi. It's about 100000 WSP. You can generate maybe 1000 WSP / day if you put all your free gold into it. So you'll need to grind for 3.5 months. To be fair, it's gotten a bit better with the new ads system, if you play enough you can get maybe another few hundred components a day (distributed over all component items, mind you). For example, I've had a reasonable stash of 50k WSP and 6k Gold (before the component offers appeared ..). I picked up a few thousand extra Gold from special deals using RM (at least 200% "off"). I did spend a little on the BM to fill up to Superchests. And I'm still only 90% into a Haechi even though it's my primary goal. I already got a Scourge and a Tempest, though.
