Pix posted an advisory about it, due to their new found respect for transparency. The advisory, however, got lost.

iOS update is usually 5-7 days after Android, giving them time to observe the update and both fix and create bugs in what is essentially a precision financial psy-op.

Can't say I have played a vast number of games. But all the other ones I have played have done Android one day and iOS the next; or visa versa. Don't really see a reason to have a two week separation. See even less reason not to keep the player base aware of when patches will be. Have yet to play a game (until now) where the devs don't say "patch will be this date at this time" then post updates if there are delays.

Perhaps it will just be on Dec. 5th when the new event starts.

Apple gives a very loose “5-10 business days” to go live after a submission. If it’s a big one sometimes they come back and ask questions or suggest changes. Google usually publishes live in 24 hours. Typically companies hold the google release after approval so they are near simultaneous, but given there have been variances in the past with War Robots updates it’s probably accurate to say they stagger them so they can correct if there are bugs on Android.

I am not a dev or publisher, but have always been told both platforms take two weeks on average to authenticate and approve patches. And regardless of the actual behind-the-scenes process, all the other games I have played have had a single day separation (allowing the game managers to spend the day updating each individual server). And even more to the point, we all understand that coding isnt the easiest task in the world and that there are usually unforeseen issues. So be it. Just keep us informed. It takes little effort to post a date and time for a planned patch push or an update about delays.

Totally agree that Pix does a poor job of keeping users informed. The reason I know the turn times is because part of my real world job is communication platform and app releases to users (not game apps though). Apple’s fuzzy pub timeline is a pain in my butt because I can’t coordinate Comms as easily - I’ll find out early AM on day 3 that Apple approved a release and it’s live for users, so I have to scramble to deploy comms because it’s usually approved on day 5 or 6. Then there are those times it’s day 10 and internal folks are bugging me about when it’s going up.
With the recent news about the legality of borderline gambling in mobile games (and possible complaints from War Robots users) it may also be that Apple is looking more closely at updates from Pix, further delaying approval. But it’s impossible to tell what would cause a delay from the outside.

Perhaps it will just be on Dec. 5th when the new event starts. I would not be surprised. its like clock work before an event.

Some things were really horked in the Android launch, so I am not surprised that iOS is taking more time than they predicted.

Just checked the patch notes (still say 27th estimated), the dev website (nothing found), and the Pix twitter feed (nothing mentioned), so I guess we are in the dark about when iOS might get the upgrade.

That’s surprising: their communication is normally proactive and on point.

I'm surprised that after so many updates, this question keeps coming up every single time.
Apple takes longer to approve updates. It's in Apple's hands, not Pix's. So if Apple takes their time, there is nothing Pix can do about it.
On another note, I suspect that it also been delayed due to the bugs that were found in the Android release that required a hot-fix. (Android folks please correct me if I'm wrong).
If there really was a bug, then Pix might have had to ask Apple to hold off on pushing the update live in order to go and tweak it.
This is the only time where I'm happy that the servers are separated. LOL

Not that I'm right, but it's my line of thought, too.
