Ads brought inability to change daily tasks. At first I didn't really think much of this, but... It has actually made me not even want to play the game. The daily tasks were a major reason to play for me, wh n I could change them to ones I liked.
But now... Play so you are graciously allowed to watch ads, so you can proceed with that stupid task you would have switched before?
Ugh.
That's like punishment for playing. I feel no desire to complete the tasks now. Maybe it's time to take a break from Android version at least. I wonder how it will be on FBGR, when it gets the 3.4 update, if it even gets it.

Once you used up all the ads on upgrading your item you can change your daily tasks like before (2 changes permitted)

All I see is grayed-out "PLAY BATTLES: 1" button on the daily tasks page. How many upgrades do I have to speed up? Does it also work if I open Bronze Chests? Edit: Also, I don't see the "replacement points: 2" text at the top right of the list on Android, which used to be there in the earlier versions (just checked on FBGR). |

Use your ads strategically to remove tasks you don’t want or can’t do hyderier Example this morning had a task for light robots on main account, I have none in my main account. Used ads to eliminate it. I don’t use my ads for damage or kills, I save them for the ones I can’t or don’t want to mess with. With my secondary account was able to clear all five tasks that have built up from not being able to play during Thanksgiving, family first. Then after a few more games used them to open a few bronze chests. Now back to working on main account and following same guidelines. Will be able to clear another task 350k damage with Medium bot, which I also don’t run in my hangar. Plan to use the extra I earn to open some more bronze chests and save my tokens (keys). ? |

I mean, I am ok with "watch ads to get bonus". I am not okay with "watch ads or stop getting almost any Au". Meh, I think it is time to uninstall the Android app. |

Every game I play has ads hyderier and some don’t give me any rewards at all. So this is just another version of what is already in a lot of games. So it doesn’t bother me at all. Would I like there to be no ads like it used to be and was for years, you betcha’ but this is what it is now. So I adjusted. Still getting the gold for the tasks and couldn’t even tell you which ads I have seen. I look here or on our Discord while they are playing and can tune out the background noise of them. But as others have said the camels back has been broken and you got to do what makes you happy. I still enjoy the game, so I play. Edit: While I was writing this, did the ad thing, cleared a task and earned 30au. |

The complaint in this thread isn't about the existence of ads, it's that when they added them they removed the ability to change tasks. I wouldn't do WSP tasks if I could switch them to gold ones. 30 gold buys more components than 150 WSP... |

I have noticed that I am getting a lot more bot specific tasks than normal now as well. Bots that are essentially unusable. I would guess this is their way to "sneakily" force you to watch more ads. Oh, but watching ads was going to be 100% optional.

Yes, well, you can look for a bright side hard enough that you might miss other things, like the point. There was no real reason to remove replacement points when they added ads; they aren't two sides of the same coin inavoidably taken together, they are two unrelated things forced upon us at the same time. It's not a case of thing A with positive and negative points so let's focus on the positive because the negatives are an unavoidable addition, it's thing A with positives and thing B with negatives, crammed in a box together for no necessary reason. |

It's annoying to have to use ads to change tasks when you can use it to speed upgrades. Also, you get ads after battle if you don't have premium get 50% more rewards, but if you use it, you can't use it again for other things just a heads up so you don't waste another game  |

I never really liked the WSP tasks since they take longer to complete than Au tasks and have a low payout (150? The workshop makes more than that at night).
I always changed them out for another Au task but since they added ads I'll just use them to skip the WSP tasks.
Seriously they didn't need to remove the replace option.

Well, if you think it from Pix point of view... Not being able to switch tasks, you have to use the ads for completing some of them (unless you want to for example switch bots, squad up if you are normally solo player, etc). Every ad you use to speed up a task is away from spinning chests or upgrading bots. The whole "speed up daily tasks" is kinda... backwards. You watch ads so you don't have to play the game... That's quite backwards compared to other games, where you might have to watch ads to get more daily playtime... |

When you think about it, any cash spent on a Freemium game is paying to avoid time playing the game. Its a ludicrous value proposition since you can avoid playing any game for free already. In fact I'm currently not playing every game in the world, simultaneously, and it's totally free!
Imagine if the cinema was free but all the movies were ten hours long and filled with chalkboard-scraping noises and vivsected puppies after the first few minutes, and they locked the doors and forced you to sit through the whole thing unless you bought an exit ticket. Sounds absurd but this is basically how they monetise mobile "games" now. :/

You probably had bad luck rather then nefarious planning on Pix's part. Ocam's Razor and all that.... |

I am now getting upgrades much faster, so I will take the tradeoff. All I need to do is turn on an ad and then watch television for 30 seconds. Fine with me.

So I had a light bot task this morning, not gonna happen with my hangar. Used the 3 ads to complete it, received the 30au and was not given the ability to change the other new task I had received. Which I would never have used the change points or ads for it anyway.  |

This is kinda funny, because it will hit the whales same as the plankton. If that whale with Destrier as the only light bot gets that light bot task, only way they can complete it is to watch ads...
Or well, being whales, they could buy hangar full of Stalkers and upgrade them with money, and then complete the task. But still, forced to do something like that by Pix ineptitude... I don't know how whales feel about this, but I have a slight feeling of schadenfreude :-D

I finally got hit with a wsp task. Net effect of the ads is an increase in my Au production (from the free BM roles and decreased upgrade times) so I'm really not pitchfork and torches angry, just unsure of why exactly that aspect of the game needed to be removed at a time when Pixonic needs to reverse the bad public relationship it has with it's legacy players.
