So in the past I've seen a few people mention the dual Ancile Carnage, some with derision and others with respect. I decided to try the setup out, since it seemed like a fun thing to do with squadmates.
However, whenever I drop it in random, people don't get it. Some blues shoot me, others don't stay with me for it's protective bubble. Just the other day a thunder Lance was spawned, I can up to cover him, and he just ignored me. Does anyone else run dual Ancile Carnage with success in random, or is it really only ever useful for a squad?
Long time lurker, first time posting a thread. Thanks.

I have a hangar with ten Anciles. Two Carnages, two Natashas with additional Ecu's and one Raijin. It is hilarious to use this hangar and it is also surprisingly effective on the right maps. Imagine the amount of ammo required to mech me out. While I annoy reds, team mates can grab beacons.
It may sound weird, but Ancile bots benefit a lot from aggressive piloting. You're on a siucide mission. Confidently walk into incoming Orkans for your team mates. Only you can see how much your Anciles can take. If it looks good, push forward and forward. Reds do stupid things when you put pressure on them by being unstoppable. Team mates will be impressed aswell and follow you.
When you're in a Carnage, stick to slow bots with high firepower. A Thunder Lancelot is your best friend. Be their protective backpack and make sure that you go down before your team mate goes down. I personally use the Carnage as a shield against plasma if my team mate is on his last legs. I try to keep my team mates alive for as long as possible.

I find it very difficult to consistently get random teammates to shoot the same target, let alone convincing them to pair-up with an Ancile Carnage.
I do, however, offer Ancile health-care in the opposite way: I run a Double-Ancile Magnum Natasha. I lead the charge into the rockets and missiles. Any bot could catch up to the Natasha and join the push, if they so desire.

Reds do stupid things when you put pressure on them by being unstoppable. Such as unloading a full salvo of Orkans onto two Anciles, only to have no ammo left to threaten the unshielded blues.

It's a fun setup for trolling, but your teammates won't appreciate it if you spawn with one and neither would I if you were on my team because that slot would be better utilized with a PDB or RDB or something else that can do a good amount of damage cause ya know..."The best defense is the best offense". There are many punishers and tempests even in Expert and Master league which will just wear down that shield leaving both of you exposed. More often than not since you need to get right up to your teammate, you may bump into them a lot which will be annoying to them because you are hindering their movement. But all that aside, it IS fun to run one not gonna lie. I usually run it in test server for fun. But for live server, I too, get annoyed teammates shooting at me like "「whiskey tango foxtrot」 are you doing dude".

Well, the bastion mode isn't a stats buff, it's a damage buff so you do 30% more damage when you fire so I would assume no buff for the ancile.

I've actually only had the shield run down twice, got about 170k hp, but if enough projectiles come at me then the shield will fall. Of course at that point I've hopefully saved someone from a DB. Could I use that 5th slot for another brawler? Yes, but I don't mech out too often, still pull top 3 for damage. I run thorkancilot, DB griff, lead hose griff, and zeus fury. I have more DBs I can swap in or some tarancilots that might fit the current meta better. Perhaps the Ancile Carnage should be relegated to squadding only. Thanks for your thoughts.

Does anyone else run dual Ancile Carnage with success in random, or is it really only ever useful for a squad? I run it sometimes. Also, don't let teammates ignore you. Carnage is mobile enough that you should be able to keep up w/ any heavy and most mediums. They're not going to follow you; you're supposed to shadow them.

Don't bother. The Carnage has a built in Ancile that can you help teammates with. And the Carnage is a literal glass cannon, its biggest asset is its firepower and you've traded that away from some support, which might end up being useless if an energy robot catches you.
Just imagine the difference in firepower between a Thunder Carnage and Thunder Leo and a Thunder Leo and Ancile Carnage. They will break your shield and the friendly Thunder Leo won't have enough firepower to finish either of them before you are both dead. Just stick weapons on it and move on.

Hmmm lets imagine.
I got a leo thunder (pretty common) and you spawn a dual-ancile carnage.
So technically i stay ahead and you behind my cover, cover me with anicle
All sounds good till now...
I see an enemy approaching, i got to move go intercept enemy - i can make a slow turn to see where e u - we got no coms to ask u to follow - so i just intercept enemy, with hopes u will follow my steps

i love to have fun in war robot with some foolish setup. Last time i just put 3 ancile level 7 on my fury and it worked surprisly well on yamantahu. I was the shield of my team. i stayed all the game with this bot. i was in the beacon on the middle of the map and stayed here for all the game . i Had a fujin taran behind me + ancilot + haechi orkan + db griffin and a zeus carnage .we had shield everytime; Even if i don't get gold or silver after the match ( i don't deal damage so the game thinks im AFK ) this was a good teamplay strategie and i had so much fun eating tulu and orkan of the enemy red. no flankers we are all together and nobody have the firepower to shutdown 6 bots camping at a spot with tons of shields. i know im getting carried by my team but the fact is i bring a lot off survavility to all of the teamate behind me. While the enemy red waste time on focusing me they get destroyed in less than 2 secondes even if its a plasma bot. i won't lie this strategy failed a lot of time due to lack of communication but when teamates stick to me it can be a really good and fun. i love the carnage ancile but i dont want to trade the mobility of this bot for shielding. FURY is slow AF but have more HP than a carnage so if i want to b a shield i go with fury instead of carnage.

Thanks. yes in clan, when you can tell your mates before or in game (better a double ancile fury with some weapon on top, tho) in random games, nope... the times I've found someone who actually got the idea I can count on the finger of one hand. I actually tried, and failed (but we connected on facebook, rare pearls are to be kept), to recruit the ONLY person who realized it was smart to get in front of me with a lancelot, being careful not to run away with its rush: with his thunder orkans and my double ancile and ember we crushed our enemies, saw them driven before us and we possibly imagined to hear the lamentations of their women.

Sooooo true, in randoms its hard enough to get your team mates to cap beacons let alone be clever enough to utilize the shiny protective toy you brought in so you can terrorize your enemy.

You know what's better than some extra HP? Some extra fire power. Please just run with weapons and help me kill the reds quicker
This is why legend league hangers don't run ancilots in favour of k bots.
Weapons scale much more than bots do. Watch youtubers play in Champions League, your either dead or not being targeted. You can't tank crap in this game. A good offense is the best defense yadayada

Had a great time in a double ancile carnage. I can almost see the faces of my teammates when they are fixing to engage a DB as I walk up behind them and they eat no damage. I had one really fun game i had two leos with me thunder aphids i believe. We walked all around DC. Halfway through we picked up a thunder magnum natty and kept moving. Its a rare instance when others realize what is the point of the dual ancile, but when they do.
I did find that trying to stay with a griffin was near pointless, they just jump away.
The other lesson I learned was it is my job to stick with the firepower, even if I can grab a quick beacon, stick to my guys. That alone will keep is alive longer.
All in all. I find it fun. I have been running less than desirable builds to gain more experience on how to run a Gareth or Cossacks. I want to be able to show up in anything and do well. Say it ain't possible. I'm in mid gold and got most damage over 500,000 with just those two with orkan on them with a pinata on the Gareth. I know it's is no million match but I found it impressive for two barely leveled light bots.

I only partnered with a duel Ancile setup in random once, but it's a Nat plus 2 ECUs. The map is BR dead city.
I stick closely to it in a Pun-fujin and it's super effective. The Nat gives me good protection, and my Puns are noisy enough to draw enemies' attention thus granting easy kills to the remaining 4 teammates.
