Hopefully never. Campers wet dream. No need to make multiple threads asking the same question. And boy did the campers complain the last week of it when they took out all the big maps and you actually had to brawl.

You know what? I liked it. It gave me the opportunity to just focus on killing the other guy without worrying about anything else. I'm playing this game to blow 「dookie」 up, and I was glad TDM gave me the ability to do so without costing the team's win.
$.02

I played GOB and didn't like it - mostly because it was just kill the bad guys.

I liked the concept when TDM came out. But sometimes things in concept in practice don't work. The problem is/was that the game was created to be a beacon game. And then converted into a TDM game. Therefore the maps, weapon, etc didn't work for TDM.
This shows my age but Quake was created for DM (no team) and therefore was awesome for that purpose. Team Fortress (2) was created for capping and therefore was awesome for that purpose.

Dude, I don't really care why you play this and I doubt you care why I do either. I'm just saying that I like the way TDM gave me the chance to fight the way I like. You like tactics fine, stick to BR and Dom. I'm not as smart as you so I'll stick with blowing 「dookie」 up. That's why I liked TDM, options.

I liked TDM as an alternative but hated that they did the random thing when they could have easily given us 3 choices instead of just TDM and random. Especially during the Halloween event when I didn't have to worry about beacons at certain times.

Hopefully never. Campers wet dream. No need to make multiple threads asking the same question. Thanks for nothing You’re welcome. TDM started out fun ( kill enemy), but when I spawn with 3-4 Natasha’s it ain’t fun. Campers doing their thing and a loss. Mind you, I still made my silver! The last week when Pix removes long maps made it better but I stuck with random to achieve my event tasks (cap beacons). I like being able to choose though... iOS expert. But yeah, never is good. lol

when the next event starts and will get random mode and TDM again. in random mode during the event we will primarily get Domination. makes it more challenging to complete the tasks :-)

It was easy to predict it would become a campers paradise, we knew that from back during the days of Quake II. Beacons force action, and in TDM you just try to stay alive and deal as much damage as possible.

I liked TDM because even tho campers stilled spawned a lot (Spydras and Trebtashas mostly) they invariably got over run by a coordinated onslaught from blue knife fighters.
Finally the game was "War Robots" rather than "Hide behind a wall like a big wuss Robots".
I'd vote to bring it back any time.

I hated TDM personally though why folks others like it is justified. A game mode is a game mode. I wasn't a big fan of having to be randomly placed in BR or Dom BUT what I loved was that TDM was a play ground for whales.
They took all their OP bots and mechs and went hunting in TDM and for a little while there, they started to filter back when the TDM went sniper, it was like the old War Robots with even up and balanced play.
My point: I hope they bring it back...everyone needs their own play ground. Happy Hunting.

Test server has a modified TDM and I spent the weekend on it. This time, the spawn spots have changed, and every map now has new barriers that literally changed their game play. There is now a lot more cover for knife fighters and brawlers. I was thinking that they should even bring these modified maps into the live server and incorporate them also for Domination and Beacon Rush, make them simply the standard maps for all War Robots.

The test server was on TDM but version 2.0.
They added cover to almost every level and smoke beacons so you know where the spawn sites are.
Moving in the right direction however how will they deal with hangar slots and balance is another beast
