Pixonic has created a "Leavers Queue" to prevent tanking and misuse of the ranking system. I have never been in that Leavers Queue and I don´t know much about it, but I read here a lot of it. People are discussing here about it. Some complain that they are in there for no reason, others brag that they are tanking and have tricks to bypass Leavers Queue. I often have matches where teammates destroy 4 of their bots right at the start and then run suicide with the last one. I often get annoyed about losing games because my team is outnumbered after less than half of the time. Maybe that´s not always because of tankers or leavers, but it´s annoying anyway. I think Pixonic should do much more to encourage players to fight till the end and survive the whole game. I think surving the game should be a prerequisite for getting any gold rewards. If a player does most damage or most beacons but mechs out before the match ends, then the second best should get the gold. Maybe another point that could encourage people more could be a clearer and better silver reward payout system and a better repair cost system. Nobody really knows how silver reward and repair costs are calculated. Ditching bots for nothing should become really expensive, much more expensive as if they die from enemy fire.
Then, I have two more suggestions. First, I suggest that silver reward payout should be cut for players that mech out. The earlier he mechs out, the more it is cut. And what is cut should be distributed to the remaining players as compensation for being outnumbererd. I think, if a player mechs out -after less than 5min, then 100% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates -after more than 5 but less than 6min, then 90% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates -after more than 6 but less than 7min, then 70% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates -after more than 7 but less than 8min, then 50% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates -after more than 8 but less than 9min, then 25% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates -after more than 9 but less than 10min, then 5% of his silver earnings should be taken and distributed among the remaing teammates Of course a player who mechs out may not benefit from other teammates that mech out later. For example: If player A mechs out after 4min and player B mechs out after 7min, then player A doesn´t get anything from player B. First 100% of A´s silver earnings are distributed among B, C, D, E & F, then 50% of the silver earnings of player B (which include 20% share of A´s) are distributed among C, D, E & F. My second suggestion for intensifying this mech-out-penalty is a participation fee for each battle. Not much, but if players have to invest silver first to take part in a battle, then they want to get this investment back. And they only get it back if they survive the battle. I think at the start of a battle every player should put a pledge in a kind of trust fund, and at the end of the battle it is paid back, but only to those who survived. The participation fee could increase with the league. In bronze league it could be only 10 silver for example, in gold league it should be more. And in expert league it should be so much that it would become really expensive if someone wants to tank back to lower leagues.

Good post but one question: if a player mechs out / suicides early in game then he will earn very little gold, silver, au etc. This will leave very little to distribute among remaining players. The kind of play you describe is more about getting the -22 league points than anything else...

Yes, good point. That´s why I went further with my second suggestion: The participation fee. He pays it, and if he doesn´t survive the match, the others get it back.

Maybe if the silver fee for dropping a bot is based on the % health left on the bot ... that way it becomes expensive to drop 4 healthy bots... I guess they would just suicide them

I honestly think this punishes those who get blitzed and get meched out really early on, and it doesn't do much for people who quit the battle as they score 0 damage and gain little silver. It also doesn't address the tanker problem as they can just drop to lower leagues and club new players to regain the silver they lost dropping as their bots are more than enough to survive the battle.

So the player who hides in the back and contributes almost nothing gets the rewards while the player who leads the charge, does the most damage, caps the beacons that wins the game, and does most of the work gets nothing? Yeah try again please.

Yeah try again please. I´m afraid you didn´t understand my concept. I don´t want to punish those who do the most work, I want to punish those who think the most work is done in the first few minutes, then mech out and let the enemy invert all beacons. Call me old-fashioned, but for me it´s first and foremost to survive to win a battle (and a reward). I don´t want that any sincere fighter gets NOTHING, I just want that those who are not sincere get LESS, and the more less sincere they fight*** the more less they should get. My second thought was to give compensation to those who were left behind. Someone who fights outnumbered should be rewarded.
(***which means the earlier they mech out)

First, stop with the green. Second, people could just not move at the back while there team is disadvantaged and mech out. That gives the tanker free silver for standing still

I barely make 100k every battle after the repair costs even when I hit 1mill, being punished for meching out first would widen the gap between noobs and everyone else by making them do 5x the work for 1 upgrade. No

This is exactly how the game would play out if players got penalized for meching out early, knife fighting would end, spydras would rule the meta, even more people would leave even the ones that paid money, anciles would become the dominant sheld type and the game would end as we know it.

The news of war robot being just a test before real life introduction of gladiatorial robot fights to the death in the United States is fakenews. In other news, the Russians were totally in contact with the White House because of the elections and nothing but the elections. It's just a case that a candidate who dealt with boxing and WWE won them. Or that Walking War Robots and WWE are so similar. Nothing to see here.

Yeah try again please. That's a normal game as things are now. Do the damage, run get the beacons, get blizted, and thanks to other players who dont know how to cap a beacon, voila, U get nada. Frankly I"m a newb and I'm already fed up with the script kiddies and dummies who can't cap a beacon! So much so, I'm no longer playing it. Yeah that's right I'm no longer going to serve as cannon fodder so Pixonic has someone for ppl to blow up. They can create a damn bot in their game to do that.

SNIP I am fairly certain I saw one of them Script-Bots the other day in FB/GR for the first time while in a match. It was a sniper that did OK damage during the game... but stayed in the same position pretty much. Nothing to be concerned with, on the whole, at this point as that mirrors most campers' activities in low level-ish games. However... after I was the last Blue alive... and was taking the Home beacon that that sniper was 200m away from, he never looked at me and kept shooting towards the CB every 20 secs or so. Again, I was the last blue alive and no Red was near there. Wonder how many of those are out there on FB/GR as it has got to be easier to hack since it is PC based.

I go hard but it's tough when no one else tries to win. I tend to mech out but will be left alone a lot or followed by cossacks using me as a meat shield. My heavies shouldn't be the primary capper. I can't wait to unlock my 5th slot then get a rogata for capping. Add in the small pool of players on Amazon servers and I see this a lot. I was spawn camped and my last two mech went down in seconds.

Not completely agreeing but the participation fee part is just excellent.
It can not only deal with the mech out problem, but also punishes tankers.
