Might as well experiment and screw around in game before you leave.

Might as well experiment and screw around in game before you leave. That’s exactly the reason I think, as motivation wanes, there’s little reason to adhere to meta. The problem is once outcome cease to matter, retention will drop.

Some of those builds actually fool me, like when I'm in a thunder Carnage, a Griffin with one Tulumbas and two pinatas and an orkan appears, fires the Tulu so I rush thinking it's a RDB then I get crushed, same for the guys that put a random Gekko, makes me think it's a treb/gekko Natty if I'm not looking at it, it also annoys me a lot to see the HP draining slowly in some maps. For fooling, Hydra Orkan Doc works like a charm.

xXrobotrippinXx It's simple, when you see a bot with 4 different weapons all with different range, you are seeing a FADER tanking down. They got the decency of visually showing you that they are tanking so that you don't have any doubts that you gotta cover their damage/cap quota too.

They got the decency of visually showing you that they are tanking so that you don't have any doubts that you gotta cover their damage/cap quota too. Maybe in some cases. I thought about that but the stats & win % doesn’t seem to reflect it when I’m looking at a lot of them. Especially when they have a 64% like in the first SS. Unless I happen to see the majority of these players right when they swap out their gear. Plus I don’t see them tanking in the match.

Unless I happen to see the majority of these players right when they swap out their gear. Plus I don’t see them tanking in the match. the 64% win is the indicator that it just finished sealclubbing up, and just started going down. the MM forces you to a rough 50% win. If you got a lower, or higher % value, it's an indicator that you are going down or up respectively. back to the topic, the only "credible" mixed weapon bots are when you see the weapons in couples. Like a griffin with 1 side that is plasma, and the other side that is short range rockets. MANY times i have been fooled by those robots, where i charged them in with my pathetic galahad just because i just saw 1 side, and didn't notice the orkan on the other side (or the opposite for my Carnage ) -THAT- is a justifiable semi-effective setup. A double weapon ensures that enough dps is reached to justify the incongruence of weapons range or type.

Hybrid weapons are a bad idea. I had a team member who had one orkan and one taran on an anicle lance it drove me up the wall lmao

I noticed it too. It isn’t just weird weapon arrangements but also bad strategy too. They aren’t newbies either. I am almost thinking the player pool might be shrinking and the matchmaker needs to reach further up and down the league to start games. I hope not though. This is where the term "noob" can mean different things to different people depending on your experience. To me having 1400 victories and level 9 and 10 weapons is kinda noob. I took me a few thousand victories and hitting champion league before I felt I was in a place where I felt I had some experience. And then there are days when we hit a squad of CDxx or Vice and I STILL feel like a Noob. Since weapons upgrades can push you up in leagues even if you haven't mastered them yet can easily push you into the upper middle meta where you would think you would see more seasoned pilots but that hasnt been the case lately. I think much of the mixed weapons we see are just pilots that do not go to the forums and read but just experiment with different combinations till they find out its usually best not to mix stuff especially of different ranges together.
