OMG, Similar behaviure and mentality to telecom and internet providers companies.
I find out that my friend paying to the same company for the same speed, 50% less than me. So i call them and tell them, i want his deal they say No at first. Next i tell them i am going to disconnect and i got better deal with another provider. Then they transfare my call to some "manager" who then gives me my friend deal plus 3 free months LOL... (yes i have to do this bashing almost every year)
Btw i do not remmember the deals i had when i started playing War Robots Android one month ago. But in facebook gameroom, two weeks ago they offered me some 400% profit starter deal, some robot probably gepard/rgotka & 2 weapens +gold for $5.

Certain characteristics like being a new player? That's exactly the thought that went through my head when I read that line, too.

I just came off a 3 month break and never got free gold or an offer for a dash bot. Most of the offers I receive are for the Fury. They seem to think I need a Fury. After you buy that Fury, make sure you spend $50 on the 3 Zeuses, and another couple of hundred to max them out so you can kill dash bots!

I've contemplated doing this minus spending RL cash.

I've contemplated doing this minus spending RL cash. The issue with using Zeus Fury to counter dash bots is that it is inweildy on the maps that the Dashes flourish in (PP,Moon,Dead city, Valley). From what I hear it the best at what it does though, so it's likely not a wasted investment.

Certain characteristics like being a new player? I'm quite sure she is saying the "truth", and for that i mean she didn't directly "lie". She might be saying the truth in the terms that the trigger conditions aren't the account AGE. Like account age < 2 months you get the offer. the conditions might instead be very similar, like: IF number of battles < 800, you get the offer or IF gold < 5000, and number of battles < 800, you get the offer. there could be many conditions, and she could be saying the truth that it's not tied to an account AGE. obviously you can't talk about the other conditions, which might target who has not the resources and has to buy them in RM.

btw shouldn't Pix hire a robot or at least a cyborg to represent them? with everyone flaming Pix, that would be a smart move to get the good old Griffin speaking to us (^_^)

No story here. I get select coupons every month from my grocery store. No reason I should feel entitled to every single offer the store has in its database o' offers.

Its a great point Dredd, but if John Doe really wanted cheerios from the store, but could not afford those tasty O's, I can see why he would be irked that his neighbor keeps getting "1/2 off cheerios" coupons while he gets none.

Probably because John Doe is using a fake name and they don't know how to find him.

I'm not even sure what's going on anymore. All I know is that with a Thunder Carnage and some Russian Standard, I'm ready to go full berserker on the Reds.
And use a Cossack as a toothpick.

But targeted advertising / marketing is exactly what every company in the world is actually trying to do because it makes good business sense. If John Doe always buys cheerios and has a store loyalty card (so they can track his spending patterns) then he is likely to get sent specifically offers related to them or other products that it is indicated might be attractive to him. But the store is not sending John the offer to be nice, they are sending it because they are expecting it to nudge John to coming into the store to spend money. the reason pixo is not offering everyone the same deals is because they assess different people have a different propensity to spend money and dfferent interests

the reason pixo is not offering everyone the same deals is because assess different people have a different propensity to spend money and dfferent interests This is what pix is doing, and the coupon analogy is a complete red herring. This isn't a coupon, it looks like a coupon but it isn't. What this is, what you are describing is called dynamic pricing. It is something amazon and other retailers have TRIED to do for a long time. When Amazon did it (a company with more smart people than employees at Pixonic) they face planted hard: www.cbsnews.com/news/amazon-surge-pricing-are-you-getting-ripped-off-small-business/Is this legal? Yea, in this case it is. And business do it all the time -- others have pointed out that phone and cable companies are notorious for this. Others have also pointed out that if you CALL theme out on it they change their tune real fast (and give you the better deal) --- In some cases (lets say the event of a natural disaster) It is actual illegal in many areas (price gouging). So to @heavypanda 's point, and at your suggestion we can pretty fairly say that it may LOOK like a coupon but it has the characteristics of a dynamic price, and we know all too well that it makes people mad (rightfully).

I think this discussion is actually pointing to something rather disturbing. If one were to 「multiple dookie delivery chute」 the the moves Pix has been making It really does feel like a gaming/gambling customer management model. The rewarding/reactivation system bears an uncanny signature which presuposes addiction after a development period and herding customer segments towards behaviors that are increasingly profitable for the company.
I don't have too much baggage with Pix as of yet, so I'll hold them to their word. Fingers crossed.

The textbook examples are charging more for flights without a weekend stay, matinee pricing for movies, and senior discounts. Hey now, let’s not be bringing Senior citizens discounts into this or matinee pricing. What are you trying to do ruin my Thursday’s. Matinee, then Blue plate special, then off to Kroger’s for shopping (senior’s day at the grocery). And I tried, Pix won’t give me a Seniors discount. ? ?
