Some of the stuff sounds fair. Seems like they're really trying to make every body happy.
Personally, I think they should put the bots back into the BM, not just the components. Maybe make components part of the reward system too. Like when you win a battle, you get x gold, x bm keys, and x components for something. It's small, but at least you're working towards something. And, every time you spin, you have a small chance to win a bot or weapon out right. And to appease the anti gambling folks, maybe put a ceiling on how many keys can be purchased within a x number of day time frame.
MM is still a big deal, but you know what? Now that I've stopped caring about the league points, I'm starting to have more fun and better games. Sure, I still have the odd game against tankers, but those ones I'll just mech out as fast as possible on my own and then move on to the next game. I still have the -22 points games, but I don't care anymore. If I'm on a losing streak, I'll just put the game down. You know when I tend to find the hardest games? Around 5 - 5:30 AM EST...that's when I wake up... so it could also be because I'm not fully awake yet and make horrendous choices in battles.

A group of my pilots were talking on coms just yesterday, and after relishing in a hard fought battle against a squad that had no less than 15 K bots in hangar that we somehow managed to beat with only one dash on our whole team about how ridiculous these bots are. I had commented about being a "fly on the wall" at Pixonic listening to the developers discussing the K bots. " ok, so we designed this new bot that has 3 medium weapon slots, a physical a built in ancile AND.. were gonna make it have dash movement that is quicker than anything else in the game"...How could anyone in there right mind that has played this game NOT think a bot like that would be completely over powered compared to anything else out there?! They knew EXACTLY what they were doing! And the proof in that is when they stated they were not surprised how angry people were over it but then just a paragraph later they state they tried to release them slowly as to not upset the meta to much! LMAO! These people need to run for Congress.. Such BS and Double talk!

Call me crazy, but I am ready to give them benefit of the doubt.
1. They mention they plan to tweak the MM, does that mean we can hope to see the end of the horrible mix of the TT ? That alone would be a major step forward for the game. IMO, you should just never play against a player with a league two levels above or below you, and I really don't care if it takes a few seconds more to find players. Much better to wait 10 seconds more to find a good game than to have a quick game which doesn't make sense (and you lose five minutes + league points).
2. They confirm the MkII would bring a maximum of 20% more performance to promoted weapons and bots. It is a good thing.
3. They mention they plan to give other options to get components. If Pix gives more options to get components AND allow players to exclude some components from chests (I saw that option in the plans somewhere), then it would make the grind much more possible than what we currently have.
4. They mention they plan to give better rewards to higher leagues. Seems fair (if differences stay reasonable), and would probably help against tanking.
It seems to me a lot of the angriness around could have been avoided with a better planning, communication and execution from Pix. They did it wrongly but it doesn't necessarily mean their long term plans are not good, a lot of people are being angry at what is currently NOT a finished product. Yes they gave wrong signals, but it feels a lot of those signals came from a wrong management rather than of a real intention to kill F2P/low-budget players.
I may be wrong, I know some may say I am naïve here. I'll just wait and see and keep an open mind for the next updates, at least they acknowledged players reactions and didn't try to act like it didn't exist.

Don't get me wrong, I am angry too. AFAIC, the way they released the 1st version of the BM is unacceptable. Some players won, some not, for no other reason than stupid spins and that is an extremely unfair system for the players. This is why I received the second version of the BM as an improvement, if obviously grinds are reasonably possible. And if the reason why they didn't go directly with the second version of the BM is because they wanted to make sure a few Dashes entered the field directly, then they should have allowed gold to be transferred to components (even at high prices, like 10'000 gold for Kumiho, 15'000 for Bulg and 20'000 for Haechi). Ok they probably would have earnt a bit less, but that would have been a billion times more fair than what they did, and you'd have seen way less reactions here.
So I'm not defending Pix at all cost, far from that. I'll just try to keep an open mind until the end of the year, see if some of the things they said here materialize into concrete improvements.

The problem with components is needing 10000 for 1 bot ... and they are not transferable between bots they are like individual currencies for each you have components for Bulgasari ... components for Scourge ... etc that are only for that wep or bot... it makes 10000 seem practically unachievable as a F2P ... as you 'win' a pittance from a chest
Play 5 matches (ish) to get 10 keys to spin a chest and get 1 key or 5 components This has been going for a few days now and I don't even have 1% of a bot ... the best I have so far is 15 components - so I will go with my originaly verdict on it - it is a load of old 「go solo」
At least with WSP you can buy any WSP bot or wep with the same WSP

I was not around the last time with the "roundtable", Are you saying that what they (PIX aka the "bad company") say in their announcement is just a painkiller, until the flames are put down and the players will forget and just keep playing?

Like how the Camelot Meks ibstantly propelled you to gold tier matches during that MM phase 2) Still not a fanof Mk2 plan unless sonething like #1 happens too. 3) Im feeling more and more like 'The Time of the Grind' is over. 4) I feel like the way everything post WW Meks are being released along with the MK2 will further create splits in upper league levels so therefore bigger rewards for higher leagues translates as CAKE FOR THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD IT and yeah. War Robots could definitely be better planned.

PIX is a business and like any business, sometimes they get it right and sometimes they get it wrong. When a business gets or does something wrong, they have to go into damage control mode and fix what was broken. That's what I see Pix doing now.
Like the post that Stew Pendous posted, calm rational feedback is the best way to get this issue resolved. Anyone who's been in business long enough knows that the loud mouths that curse won't get anything. I've actually refused to due business with folks like that as no business needs customers like that. Contrary to popular belief, the customer is not always right.
The beauty of a free market economy is that a company gets to choose what they sell and the pricing for a product. If we, as consumers, don't like the product or the price, we don't have to buy it. Constructive feedback and economics will do the rest. Will it happen overnight? I doubt it. To reverse what has been done could take months of coding and the cost to change what has been done and what is already in the pipeline will be tremendous.
So do I think Pix cares? Yes I think Pix cares because without the players, Pix is nothing.

Pixio gave you rioting whiner babies a free game to play and you want to thank them by quiting because they tried something new and it was less than popular.
This is not the first freemium game to hit a snag that angered it's players.

I have found that when the underwear is too tight and the ballsack gets all sweaty and icky, baby powder works great..
Just a suggestion to those who are getting their underwear all twisted up and working up a bunch of sack sweat over a game that you can just walk away from.. No one is keeping me chained to my tablet, last I looked anyway..
just sayin..
cheers..
