One of our clan mates noticed this about 7:00am UTC -4. We have worked through the day to put this chart together. This is only for solo match play. We do not know if iOS has had the same thing happen. Beacons still count highest +3, next +2 and +1.
We also don"t know if this is permanent or not.
As to the double-key rewards those have gone away. So possibly a glitch and they removed. Definite answer is unknown.
Maybe one of the forum insiders could verify this for us SuperHero with Pix
?

It doesn't even make sense. Gonna hold off playing too much until this gets sorted out.

holy cow... that's -77 points vs +31, plus the points for caps i guess...
that will mean that many many people will drop down.
A lost game will be a huge step back for everyone 3rd position or lower. -17 counteracts 4 won game as 3rd position -22 counteracts 5 won game as 3rd position.
This means that people in first position will advance fast in leagues, while the rest get stabilized in a lower league if they can't excel constantly.
i foresee a mass redistribution of players along the leagues, and i think it might be less painful in IOS than on Android, considering the different distribution of bot/wpn lvls among leagues.
Silver/Gold/Diamond leagues might become really crowded places with stronger hangars than before.

It doesn't even make sense. Gonna hold off playing too much until this gets sorted out. I agree it doesn’t make sense. There has been much discussion in our clan today about this and the reasons why. All I can do is give you is the data we collected. We went through due diligence to make sure it was right before we presented it here. Why I asked for the forum insiders to see if they could verify what we collected. Maybe as llama4president said in his post Pix’s attempt to curb tanking. Our clan has some differing thoughts which can not be published here or I might get the ban hammer. ?

I think Pixonic is trying to push everyone down leagues. The points gained in total of this new distribution system (not including beacons) is 31 points while the total loss is 77 points.

If you look at this vs the chart here: wwrpixonic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001687809-Leagues you will note that the TOP spot is missing and the last spot is duplicated. The nerd in me says that the code I would write would just itterate over the values and assign them. If the top spots were "missing" when I got to the end of the list and still had assignment to do I would just re-use the last value I had (so two +2 and two -22). My guess is that this is a bug, (a bad config file) and the behavior were seeing is just a byproduct of that.

This is way out of keeping with any previous distribution that keeps the overall score equal. People are going to DROP! Does anyone know if lower leagues still add points.

So now what we're going to have are all the solo champion pilots dropping to Master and Expert because the emphasis of squads up top is even more stressed. So much for their anti-tanking measures.

It's basically tankfest.

This would be bad for the system... there is no valid mathematical reason to do this. I could propose a lot of wacky systems but one that destroys points (when points starvation is a known ELO issue) is on the whole the worst thing you could do.

Increasing the amount of points lost in a loss just encourages tankers more. Drop easier, take your sweet ads time climbing.
If this is on purpose, it's more likely tied to their upcoming League system overhaul. Since points are generated solely from the bottom leagues, this might be an effort to deflate scores across the board (as everyone is bound to lose points unless they win 100% of the time) in preparation for said league overhaul, hence why no official announcement.

llama4president I knew it was, but it’s all I had at the moment, so I threw it in there. ? Edit: All this stuff is out of my League (pun intended) Elo and the other stuff mentioned here. I play the game and have fun. I’m retired and about as technical as I want to get anymore is which lure should I use at a particular time of day to catch fish.

I finally got a chance to play on my secondary iOS account and did not see what we saw on Android today. Normal or least what Pix says is normal points awarded. Was very happy to see that. ? Edit: xXrobotrippinXx if you got -20 it means you got 2nd highest beacon capture, so you were given +2 for your efforts.

I could propose a lot of wacky systems but one that destroys points (when points starvation is a known ELO issue) is on the whole the worst thing you could do. The current system already destroys points. Just look at the Legend league with their 65K+ league points (current and past). I've said it before, but this ain't ELO. There's no way Kasparov could club a checkerboard of jr high kids in chess, and get 15K+ rating, every month. Calling it ELO is trickery and meant to pacify the dotards into thinking this is ELO, and ratings are fair and just. In reality, this system is catered for the Legend players. Even if you ignore the tankers, this system creates unbalanced leagues.

IOS could be next as is generally the case so would not place much emphasis on what IOS guys see
Most likely a glitch like the 10 keys but this could be for real.
Think about it. 1. I think 2 points systems before the current one(on IOS) the MM was savage and the Points awarded made most people stay where they were. no movement. 2. points system changed and everyone started moving up (Current) 3. if this latest change is for real than they are pushing people down (maybe they feel not enough people lower down)
so in effect Pix monitors the distribution of people in the leagues and changes the points system to rebalance the distribution as per their liking. cant see much wrong with that if that's the case.
time will tell in any case.

The distribution that "kept people where they were" was the zero sum, where losers always lost the inverse position of what winners gained. This was the correct one, as players shouldn't really rise or fall in ranks without a significant change to hangar or skill. Mail.ru made me really scratch my head at the statement of a ranking system where players stay where they are until their gear/performance gets better was a bad thing. As for the current state of the league points, points are currently funnelled up from the fact that newbie(recruit/rookie) leagues have absolutely no negative values. With an Elo system, every player has a base starting value, and points are created/destroyed based on the ratios between each players rank. In this mess, the base value people start out with are the points they get in Rookie/Private. The way the point system has been distributed up until now only serves to baloon the rank of the people at the top, and inflate scores overall as more points enter the system (beacon captures, newbies) than being destroyed (1:1 points given:taken away at base, 6 created on both sides due to beacon bonus). If they are going to overhaul leagues, they kind of need to stem the bleeding of points floating to the top so the game isn't turned on it's head for the next shyte show they've cooked up.

Anyone know anything about that? Were you squadding, by any chance? If you were, it splits negative points equally across squad mates. So if you were in a squad of two and your partner came in next to last, you'd split -39 (17+22).

Actually the most recent system was zero sum including the additional 6 points for beacons. But I totally agree with the fact that people staying in the same place unless there is a massive change in hangar or skill is correct.

Your point two doesn't make sense. It is zero sum and I don't think that everyone is moving up. Even if those moving down are only tankers - for every positive point somebody else is getting a negative - how can everybody be moving up. Maybe there is a silent section of the community quietly moving down and because it is frowned upon they don't say anything.

The old system would demote you till power became a proxy for skill, high damage losers would literally limit the already too narrow windows for advancement. > The way the point system has been distributed up until now only serves to baloon the rank of the people at the top, and inflate scores overall as more points enter the system (beacon captures, newbies) than being destroyed Except we destroy points at the top every month, all those legends get reset to a base score and collect them up from the bottom. > (1:1 points given:taken away at base, 6 created on both sides due to beacon bonus). No we don't create any points after the lower leagues, input and output are balanced (outside the current bugged state).

zer00eyzPower is still a proxy for skill. High damage losers still lost rank, therefore you either win, or lose rank. Right now those high damage losers that are gaining points are campers all the way up to dumpster Diamond in Dom. They're more prohibitive than the guy that was going to rank at the top anyway, win or lose, because they almost guarantee a loss. With the equal points distribution through inverse ranks, you won until you had a 50% chance of winning. With the lopsided distribution between teams, you climb, even when losing, without reward, and then get Yo-yo'd when you get high enough where you can't compete. What are legend scores reset to? I'd like to know how people get three times the league rating as initially planned for champs in a month, and I'm not being sarcastic. I don't remember them tweaking any point values when adding the +1/2/3 points for beacons on both teams, I could be wrong though.
