Can't wait how it actually looks like on the test server.

"Raise up" ability? Like the boom on a crane?
Must be for the single light hardpoint.

Can't wait how it actually looks like on the test server. Sounds interesting but I can't see its ability being very versatile. Can't wait to see it in action

The main issues will be exactly how much height it gains when raised, and whether it raises weapons only or the whole bot. I assume the whole bot will be raised, which is interesting. In practice, I imagine it working almost like a jump, except you can control your "airtime" as it were. Raise up long enough to unload a full magazine of rockets, then lower to protect yourself. I wonder if this could even be a test run for modifying how the turret mode of the spider bots could work.

The main issue I see is that there aren't many obstacles that can be overcome by raising a bit.
The more I think about it the more intrigued I am because I think it will be a dumb bot

Ability in one site There was Separation (bunri)which is different from this one? :Leave the upper part of the upper part of the upper body (Weapon) above the front upper part (directly above if there is an obstacle). The separation unit works in conjunction with the upper body of the main body, and can swing and attack on the spot. During separation, the body can not move. ... Separation unit is lock judgment, about weapon destruction without damage judgment

It's a cool looking medium bot, with two medium hardpoints and one light. The 'rise up' ability is kinda like a slow-motion jump, except that it continues rising for as long as you hold the ability button -- and as long as the 'fuel' holds out. The fuel replenishes pretty quick. But the ability is more like a blimp than a rocket-assisted lift -- piloting while it's airborne is more like blowing a balloon around the room. It's not very precise, and the way it is now it's an easy target. It can get to places most other bots can't reach, but it's surely not going to surprise anybody getting there. Cool idea, not OP, not too squishy, but I think the float could use a little more fine-tuning.

I got to play two games with 2 in my hangar. It actually sort of looks like it's walking up stairs, you get great height but not a huge amount of forward movement stairs. I got into a 1vs1 with another guy who had 2 as well and we ended up fighting it out with different loadouts. Great fun flying around the roofs of moon map.
I tryed flying from centre on Yama to the little platform on the raised bridge, aaaaaalllllmost made it.
They are a Zues Fury's dream come true. I love them.

Goodness me, I think I might want this bot even more than the Koreans. I offer up a prayer that it is not sold for Influence Points.
Side note: I personally believe that the mid-air animation needs a lot of work. At the moment, the bot looks more like it's walking through the air instead of hovering, an issue which would be resolved by the implementation of new leg animations; The legs should dangle or "lean" in the direction the bot is flying, just to add a bit more immersion while playing.

I don't think its a viable bot in live server with current piloting system. For fun its great for a while and i like it a lot, but try to aim/shoot/move/ hover all at the same time. It can change its cource mid air.

I am totally disappointed in this new bot.
I was thinking "disappearing gun" kinda functionality and that the light hardpoint would be on the left or right (yknow, so you can equip an Ecu and not lose a medium weapon's output).
The new maps have so many low structures. Heck, all maps other than Shentzen have low structures that a bot that could elevate just its weapon sponson (i.e. not it's entire body, just the weapon's) just 10-15 meters could fire from low cover and not worry about missiles or LOS weapons. I think only medium and large splash weapons would register hits on such a bot firing from behind the low buildings on say DC, PP, or Moon.
Instead we get this blimp that will get tagged by every missile and mid-long range LOS weapon during its slow floating ability. Thanks for nothing!

The flight speed is slow AF and current controls don't allow you to maneuver in the air let alone shoot while doing it. Not a fan

The one thing that I was surprised in seeing the bot that it was fully rendered and textured already. Previously all new bots in the public tester looked either white, transparent or in unfinished stage of rendering and textures.
Like Inquisitor, all Glider needs to be finished are balance passes and play testing.
There is a question if Inquisitor and Glider are meant for some new faction, but the two bots looked so dissimilar in appearance and special abilities that Pixonic maybe taking a break from introducing faction themed robots that dominated new mech introductions since Fujin and Raijin.
One thing I wish Pixonic to do is go back to selling new Silver and Workshop robots as opposed to putting them in gold, gachas and influence points.

<snip> One thing I wish Pixonic to do is go back to selling new Silver and Workshop robots as opposed to putting them in gold, gachas and influence points.
My thought on this is that the new bots aren't necessarily better than the existing Silver and WP bots, but Pix is depending on their newness unique abilities to generate enough interest from players thinking they are all that to do what they can to buy them now, which is RM. I've played most of the WW and Au bots on TS, as well as the dashes when they were testing, and to be honest I'm not all that majorly impressed. Yeah, they have cool abilities, and I think people are worried that they'll be OP when they get here, but I think the biggest cause of concern is just that they're different, and they'll introduce something new that we'll have to get used to and figure out how to counter. I don't think it's any different from any other new bot or weapon. From a business standpoint, it's a smart move. Some players will be patient and acquire the in-game currency through the usual grind, but there's always going to be that population that can't wait and will pay RM for them, and that's what keeps the lights on at Pix. This new floater bot is cool; I think it needs some tweaking, but it will bring a whole different aspect to the game. By itself, yeah, it's kind of a sitting duck hanging up there; but in a pack, it will be a major distraction along the lines of a stealthed Stalker -- not only do you need eyes on the back of your head, you're gonna need them on top, too! I'll keep an eye on it to see how it does in live battle before deciding if I want one or not. If I do, it will be just like the current WP and Au bots -- I'll have to wait until I get enough to buy one. Meanwhile, I've got more than my hands full leveling up the gear I have and trying to git gud widdit to be worried about the new stuff on the horizon.

Njah. They changed the ascend so much, that things like this are not possible anymore It kinda goes only up and just a little bit. Maybe griffs hight. And you can move forward while rising very little.

I am using the special ability to do a controlled and rationed "faint" or light jump, something like half to a full mech height and lands on the ground quickly so you don't get hit from all directions all over. But just high enough to to shoot over cover or over friendly teammates. The inspiration of this is the "poptart" from Mechwarrior.
I like this new robot, especially when you have two Orkans and a Pinata.
