Thanks for sharing Dredd77. I've already suggested to the guys that we should hold a TRIAL BY COMBAT when we quarrel on the forum. Nothing like some harmless fisticuffs to settle our differences. I know it probably won't settle anything. But it might be a way to bring levity and camaraderie to some keyboard warriors and the community in general.

I heard that we could invite players to custom battle using their player ID. Perhaps we could have a list of IDs and names of the members in this forum so we could battle against and alongisde one another?

Now that the topic is openly discussed and that this much-needed, much-acclaimed feature has been rolled out, I can summarize the effect in two words:

ESPORTS and COMPETITION.

However, for those who are looking for a more detailed explanation, here's one for you (I'll try to make it as precise and concise as possible).

First, the new feature is set to attract new players who are interested in high-level competition. This, coupled with the fact that Pixonic has actually expressed willingness to shoulder the costs for creating such a tournament, raises a lot of hopes that Pixonic will become a very good title for electronic sports.

In other words, expect people who will be preparing hangars solely for tournaments and for winning them. Expect the beginning of a professional league. Expect people who will create teams; expect sponsors, investors and expect this game to go for another BOOM if Pixonic makes it right.

Can you imagine yourself as an e-athlete, even at forty, fifty years of age? The very nature of the game allows it - and War Robots offers this potential right now, with the potential inclusion of the custom map mode.

Do you see yourself becoming the World Champion of War Robots? THIS OPTION allows people to CREATE tournaments all over the world.

In other words, this one will be a game-changer, if Pix and the community makes things right.

NEXT, for the ones who play CASUALLY or who want to EXPERIMENT.

Want an all-Destrier match? You've got it.

Want a sandbox to test effects, make kill montages and goof around with your clan? Then this feature is for you!

I don't know if I'm exaggerating here, but being a fan of great competition and involved with esports media in the past few years, I am very happy and excited to see Pixonic do this step!!!

PS: I even contributed my thoughts on how to create a legitimate clan tournament, back in a thread for it. I do hope to see that one now, and it's time to see the best clan in WAR ROBOTS!
