As the title says, I started a new account. I still have the original, but there are a number of things I wanted to try out so, like a number of you all, I started over. Unfortunately, I'm doing it on an iphone 5 and that screen is small. Compounding some of the problems is that I've come across the walking/firing/targeting bug mentioned elsewhere. I've never seen it on my ipad, but it's real on my phone. As with others, I've tried to take the approach of purchasing for best use down the road. With that in mind, I held off on upgrading my introductory Destrier. It was a strain, though, believe me. Poor guy deserves some love, but not from me. I hit level 12 a little bit ago, but here's where things stand roughly 24 hours after creating the account. Typically, I start off going for beacons then switch over to either the Golem or Patton. I know others have said they prefer the Boa, but I'm curious to do some longevity testing on my own on the Golem and miss the old guy. Coincidentally, the max damage, max destroyed, and max number of flag caps were all had in the game that took me to level 12. As is typical, I started off by capturing a number of beacons (6?) before switching to the Golem. Also, as typical with that low level group, there were a number of people wandering about aimlessly, fighting with tunnel vision, and completely bypassing flags. As of this point, I have 964 gold and just under 400k silver. I'm trying to decide what I want to do next. While it's tempting to buy Heavies, I'm curious to see how lights/mediums do.

Yes, I realize I'm sort of necroposting my on thread, but I don't care. I don't want to start a new thread. I've resurrected my second account (thanks to SuperHero !) on my new phone. I've decided that I'm sticking to a 6Pack premise and want to, ideally, stick with a light/medium-only mech setup. I'm trying to figure out where this concept fits in War Robots. I know I won't be meta will likely have problems with cashbots/weapons. Bear in mind, I haven't played much and with the lone exception of the Gekko I bought yesterday, all of my gold was being saved (until the transfer) toward getting the 5th hanger slot. As unspectacular as all of this is, it's about as good as I have. I have some other silver weapons and mechs floating about, but no gold-funded anything else available right now. Questions: - Has anyone else here done something like this with any amount of regularity in regular gameplay?
- How successful have you been?

I tried to start over awhile ago, after I had deleted the game and not played for about a month. I went on for a few days, then ran into the familiar slog around lvl 20, and realized how much I missed a few of the bots I had acquired before my tantrum-driven deletion. So I signed back in to Game Center and picked up where I left off. I made a few hangar changes, so unfortunately I'm still sitting with a mostly 10/10 hangar.
But to your question, I did try, but I'm just not up to that long slog again to acquire good gear. The starter bots and weapons are fun for awhile, but that quickly wears off as you have no choice but to advance up the levels to 30. And I know the farther I go now with what I have, the more ultra-premium gear I'm gonna run into, and it's only a matter of time before I get fed up and stop playing. Again. Unless the BM gods drastically break tradition and give me a Bulgasaur or Haechi. But I'm not holding my breath for that.

Your second account appears to be jealous of your first account. I'm a poopface too!Yep, that's exactly why I called it that. The easy/straightforward way would have been, "Poopface Two" or "Poopface 2." I'm a contrarian. As Popeye used to say, "I yam what I yam." But to your question, I did try, but I'm just not up to that long slog again to acquire good gear. Unless the BM gods drastically break tradition and give me a Bulgasaur or Haechi. But I'm not holding my breath for that. On my primary account, I've had the good fortune to win both a Doc and a Bulgasari through contests. I'm not using the Doc at the moment and have just gotten the Bulg to level 9 with its Tulus to 11. I've started doing what others on here have recommended. I'm a slow learner so it took me a while to get there, but I'm slowly learning. I'm not all about the K-bots and whatnot. I've learned that you can think around the problem. For example, I've saved up and purchased a Lance. Although, I intend to mount an Ancile and Tarans on there, I also realize that I could do some longer-range attacking just to last a little longer. Also, although I'm not using my Spydra, that is another way to survive in the Mark2 meta. It sucks vs shielded mechs, but is a way to do your damage. There is some appeal to sorting out a platform for some Molots and a Tempest or two. I'm also intrigued by Zeus platforms as a way to avoid and still punish some of the K-bots. As far as this secondary account, it's not intended to be meta, I don't envision ever being a world-breaker or even trying to climb to Champion. By design I'm forgoing heavy mechs. I just want to see how I can do. And it can also suit me for some 6Pack gaming if I so choose.

This is my second account which I started around September while my main account was inaccessible. I played on it to try builds that I wouldn't on my main account.
I intend to stick to <6/7 scheme on this account, and so far, it's more fun than my main. I keep hovering between low to high Gold.
All the pieces have been accumulated over time, except for the 0.99 for 400 Au offer I took last week to open the 5th slot. I won a Natasha in the event, and it's surprisingly good at wrecking reds in beacon rush.

I've also found that dual-Thunder Natashas are good in Domination. I've had problems with many a dual-Thunder Natasha. Unfortunately, I don't have a counter to that in my stable yet. Eventually, I'll get some plasma on a Gary and/or Galahad and a laserlightshow Patton. Until then, I play hide and seek with them.

Yeah, Natashas do seem less deadly, and a lot of players try to rush through it. Even I hvaedone this at times in the past. Leos have a reputation and most pilots stay maintain their ranges with them. This makes Nattys effective like an underdog.

Like many mechs, you just need to know what they can and can't do and pilot them to maximize your potential. I use a Pinata/Thunder Leo on my main hanger. I use obstacles to my advantage and can punch beyond my weight for the most part. I'm interested in trying a dual-Tempest Natasha at some point, but it won't be on this account. This is light/medium-only.

The latest addition to my regular stable is a molot/tempest Natty, unfortunately at the expense of my Thunder Carnage. I leveled everything up to 10's, and it racks up quite a bit of damage as long as I can keep her alive. It also has me meching out a LOT less if I keep her more than 500m away from reds and close to cover. Otherwise, with a hangar full of knife fighters, I tend to mech out much more quickly -- and frequently. I'm just stretching this out as long as I can with the gear I've got. MM has been seeing to it that I don't climb very far. As soon as I reach some mysterious threshold, games get swamped with K bots and Inquisitors and embers (not to mention idiotic teammates), and any progress I may have made gets pretty quickly reversed. I don't know how much longer that's gonna float.

I have started a new account (FBGR) a couple of times, everything is going great until I hit level 7. The battle after you hit level 7 you are facing everything none of which are available to a level 7 player griff, leos, kbots everything. You just stop earning silver, gold, keys the whole lot, if I had just started playing I would delete the game at this stage it's just too frustrating.

I’ve hit Leo’s, Griffin’s, Natasha’s and the occasional Lance. Most of those people aren’t all that great at their mechs. With my mech limitations, it’s similar to my main Expert 2 hanger vs Champions in MK1 gear. It’s not ideal, but not impossible either.

Recently i sort of "started a new account" too. Basically i forgot my main acc after like a year and i have to use my mini acc. Hit the wsp wall in silver and decided to get a couple zeus and orkans from the gold for returning players. Cruising through just fine, there isnt too many tankers around which is pretty cool.

Poopface I started two very casual accounts one on iOS over a year ago. About 3 months ago i was finally able to open fifth slot by not playing the account for 3 months. The gold reward put me over the top. Not sure if you count checking in everyday and collecting drop boxes and ads as active. But have been doing that. I am very pleased that I can hold D2 with this mess. I have four extra bots, Kumiho (well we all got one it seems), Lancelot that I just won when BM closed, a Vityaz and a Golem. The Lance and Kumiho look pretty at level 1, so there they will stay. Won the Ancile in BM and bought the Orkan. Upgrades are done, forever. Sometimes I play it, because it drives me nuts to see the daily tasks filled up. Need to qualify for April, so at least 5 matches this month. My second is roughly 8 or 9 months old and is my six pack hangar for Android. That recently started developing 6 weeks ago and not shown here due to prying eyes (Spies are everywhere, I see you Tricky). I run the 5 bots you see and am happy to stay in D2 with them. Too lazy to change them out. Upgrades are done here also and again I'm pleased I can hold in D2 with this hot mess. Got the gold for fifth slot same way as iOS and of course check in for drop boxes and ads. I did grind this one during the Christmas event (Events suck). I wanted the Blazing Natty. Of course Koi Leo's are plentiful. As are Magnums. Kumiho here also, big deal. Woohoo! Won one Zeus in Black Market on a Bronze chest spin. Bought other. So in conclusion, kinda regular, but not, but yeah they are. I think for what they are they are successful accounts. When I want to have fun, they are definitely the ones I turn to. Or is it, too? If this fits in to what you described, COOL! If not delete this rambling bunch of words, won't hurt my feelings. Edit: An example of why I should be asleep at 3:20am and not on forum.

Interesting to hear that logging in and spinning ads is not considered as activity.
