I have asked hanger advise before. Here we go again. I don't know if I will get any new insight or not....
I do have the 5th slot. Don't ask.
I have 3 hangars at present. High Bronze, Low Silver and Trash Gold.
I am planning to slowly take the trash gold to top. I am not absolute on what will be in it. I don't want to stuff it up. I have 2 plasma Galahads, Lots of griffins, a carnage and a rhino with an L plate I have available 2 orkan, 1 trident and 2 magnum aside from what is already arming the Galahads. Red I have 4300 gold and 11000 WSP.
I like how the galahads work. I like DB griffins, PDB feels a bit fragile and I tend to get too close with RDB.
I like having a dedicated beacon runner but by no means compulsory.
i have been very tempted by a third Galahad. It means one less weapon to level and I enjoy how it runs. But then what about a fourth Galahad? and what about variety?

Personally I think 2 galahads are more than enough, 3 is plenty. For me I replaced my beacon runner with a plasma galahad because it's all about keeping beacons rather than capping beacons in higher tiers. I currently have 4 orkans in my hangar, 2 is bare minimum. Imo, rhino and lances make better pdbs and trident fury is more effective compared to an rdb. You're better off deciding for yourself what you want to spend on depending on your own playstyle.

Don't get another galahad, it might rock but you can imagine using 3 of the same bots each day for every battle. It's gonna get pretty stale and boring fast. Get a fury or lancelot

I'll also chime in voting that Plasmahads, no matter how divine, should probably not represent more than half of your top hanger.
What *I'm* personally looking at for the time being is moving into a 2 Plasmahad, two death button, 1 trident carnage setup. Right now I'm on 1 plasmahad, 2 rhinos (one DB, one plas), one tricarn, and an Orkan Rog. I'm rocking l6 mediums with l10 weapons and l6 heavies with l8 weapons. It works here, and I can honestly say that Rhinos handle plas a lot better than Griffins (from personal experience in terms of facing Griffs down). It works, but I can't see the Rog staying relevant past this point, and since I don't want to cut any Orkans from my list (and still want a jump capable bot) I'll probably be looking to flip over to a db griff.
That all being said, have you tried 2x aphid/Taran Griffs? You'd be able to stay away from other plas settups and would have pretty solid focus fire. The only *big* issue would be Gary.

If I were you I would get a fury. TT FTW!!! Besides the extra 100m (in my experience) keeps you out of the 500m weapons (Tulus/Pins) which I imagine are pretty prolific in the top tiers.

Ever consider slapping dual Aphids on those Griffs? I used to run pure PDBs and DBs on the Griff, but the revamped Aphids allowed for choice on an indirect fire knifer weapon to match either the Taran or Orkan.
I also use 2 Plasma Gals that I swap with Thunder Carnages, but my other 3 bots are 2 OrkAphid Griffs and 1 TarAphid Rhino.
The Aphids outperform either Mags or Pinatas because you usually get 2 - 3 salvos of dual Aphids off before you get in line-of-sight. The Aphids match very well with the Griffs jump, as you can hit over a phiyical shield with the elevation of the jump. Yamantau and Canyon are a delight with OrkAphid Griffs too, as shield bots just don't have decent weapons to hit you with on those maps while you can hit them with either Aphids on or off jump and finish them off with Orkans when the get close.
As far as the Fury, I'd recommend holding off on that big purchase till you see how the QuickDraw bots play out. Your current hangar seems to point to a desire to be more fluid and the Tulumbas Doc may be more fun to you than a Trident Fury.
I play a power runner hangar and it looks like you do too. My next bot will be a Doc if it stays at its current specs. I plan on putting four Tuls on it and use it as my mid range assault bot that I'll to all maps and all places on a map (as opposed to a Trident Fury that is a support bot that needs protection to survive).

Wow.
Lots of ideas and food for thought.
I do not like the idea of a fury. I am intending to play around with a trident crv natasha to see how well it works and if I could use it but I hate the idea of being in a slow lump of metal. When I have used Natashas before I have put a pair of thunders and mags on them and capped beacons.
I am going to hold off purchases until after the snowflake event and possibly after the next big update.
I am thinking however at this point that 5000 gold may approximately translate into 2 orkans and 4 aphids. I dread buying aphids if they are about to be nerfed though. (but I also dread upgrading my pinatas if they are going to be replaced by aphids).
I agree with the power runner strategy. I like to have something that can get there quick and hit hard close up. In silver I run a 5/9 shutze as a beacon capper that starts hunting when enough beacons are capped. It tends to get at least two other bots before being caught. after that I run Boas (tanks) and DB Vityez (ambush) and take beacons while hunting with them.
I generally have a midrange in each hanger. I generally don't use them well. (sometimes, not often).

While I don't think it's me, I think that a lancelot would fit my playing style a lot better than a fury.
They look big and slow to me though.

Are they all plasma? I like the idea of multiple Galahads as I like how they work and over time it is one less weapon per bot that I need to get to 12. I don't like the idea of the fury though. I may be wrong but I don't think it would be the right bot for me. That's 'another' 5000 off in any case.

I'd argue that there isn't a better plasma boat at this point. But... you need Orkans too, and there are better Orkan vehicles, and I can't imagine packing less an 4 Orkans ever again (now that I own enough, that is).

I've wondered how much of the average damage for the pilots I see with Trident Furies in Top Tier is attributed to just the Trident Fury. I average from 450-600K damage with my power runner hangar in TT and that's in the range for pilots without a Trident Fury. This Christmas event has seen lower damage numbers in general, mostly due to lots of very quick wins due to more than normal quitters on the red team. Quitters on the blue team seem to be up too - also resulting in quick losses. My guess is that 1 Trident Fury is worth about and extra 100K to 200K on average damage (over whatever else is the 5th bot it replaces in your hangar) in a top tier hangar and I think your numbers go in line with that guess. I've seen Phoenix and Adrian YouTube vids that show matches like yours with 800K-1M damage with a single Trident Fury, so it it easy to see why this 1 bot is OP (no other single bot could except maybe the Thunder Carnage could even come close to 1M).

Decided to play a few games with this hangar as it is now.
2 x 7/9 plasma galahads 6/9 DB Griffin 6/8 RDB Griffin 6/8 Thunder Carnage.
Miserable results. Felt like a newbie. I am no good with Carnage for beacon running or brawling.
Took out the Thunder Carnage and put in a 6/8 PDB Griffin. (Had to take weapons off my silver hanger).
Still not incredible but better. I still like the PDB Griffin for sheer melting goodness. I just can't imagine it being as effective further up (where people have more situational awareness).
I still can't use the DB Griffin well and the RDB only gets limited use.
I still like the idea of 3 if not 4 galahads. Some DB, Some plasma.
However, before I do anything, I need to get more games in and try different things.
1. More goes with the carnage. I will take the second trident from my silver hanger and see how it goes mid range. 2. Level my Rhino to 6 (currently 3 and almost unused) and see if I can learn how to drive it. 3. Put two tridents and two crvs on a Natasha and see how I go with a 'fury like' bot. A fury is still a possibility down the track.
Woke up this morning, changed one task from WSP to gold and ended up with both my tasks requiring light bots. Are you trying to tell me something??

I would also strongly advise you get and learn to play a TT Fury for Top tier. In top clans you'll see far more players with them in than without. Yes they are hard to play on some maps, but Canyons and Yamantau more than make up for it. I oscillate between ~550 and 800 avg damage and ~98 and ~60% win rate in top tier. More damage but lower win rates when I play solo, currently at ~600 and 96% wins.
Hanger guidelines for wins, squad play, all maps: 2-3 splash damage bots, 2-3 plasma, 0-2 Aphid. One, (two max) strong mid-range bots. Overall hanger speed should be medium to fast, shoot for roughly a Griffin's average speed.
Strongest bots: Galahad, Fury, Griffin, Lancelot. 2nd Tier: Rhino, Carnage, Patton (aphids only). Weapons: (Orkan + Pinata), (Taran + Magnum), (Tulumbas + Pin), Aphids (+ Orks/ Taran), Thunder, Trident, Zeus.
If you mix and match within the above you should do well once you learn the weapons/ bots. If you go outside of these guidelines you'll likely be compromising on some maps and reliant on your teammates. Given this you can make a strong top tier hanger with a number of different bots/ weapons combos depending on what you enjoy playing.
My most feared (strongest) bot combos currently: TT Fury, Plasma Galahad, Ork/ Plasma + Aphid Griffin, Death Button Griffin, Ork /Plasma + Thunder Lance, Aphid Patton.
I successfully use three Galahad, but I would not go to four- it'd be a bit too fast and fragile to Tridents IMHO, and the Galahad's weakness is the inability to tank (ie take center under fire) particularly in the presence of heavy splash. If we take 2x Plasma Galahad as a given, I would pair them with:
Plasma Death Button Galahad / TT Fury x2 Aphid+Taran Galahad / TT Fury x2 XX+Thunder Lance / Death Button Griffin / TT Fury Aphid Ork Griffin x2 / TT Fury Aphid Patton / Death Button Griffin / TT Fury Aphid Patton / XX+Thunder Lance / TT Fury Aphid Thunder Leo / XX+Thunder Lance / TT Fury
Note: all roads lead to the TT Fury, but you can sub in a Russian Death Button or Zeus/ Trident Carnage as a second (less good) choice. I would also think about de-prioritizing the Aphid options as I expect we will see far fewer (and more Lancelot) after the coming nerf. All IMHO of course.

This nerfing of Aphids just points tilts the balance more to mid-range setups and will add more pilots to the growing numbers of Trident Fury users. IMO, nerfing the most effective short-range weapon against the mid-rangers is a step in the wrong direction for this game. Pixonic should at least wait to nerf the Aphids till a few weeks after the quick draw bots get released, as I these bots will mostly be used in mid and long range setups. I don't know about how most pilots feel about this game being dominated by mid-range setups, but I feel that this would be really make the game less exciting (and easier to just leave).

All the options you have given imply well over 5000 gold, that is fine, so I will have to have some other steps in between. Therefore at the moment I will be concentrating on aiming for option 3 in your list. Gal, Gal, Lance, DB Griffin, Fury. (though I do like option one). What I can make at present: 2 plasma galahads, 1 DB Leo or PDB Griffin or PDB Rhino, 1 DB Griffin, 1 trident natasha (and buy third trident). The Natasha is to get used to the basic idea of the fury. I know it is not the same. I prefer the idea of thunder orkan lance, but I only have 2 orkans and that puts my gold bill well over 12000. It may end up being a taran lance first.

2x PDB Galahad, PDB Rhino, DB Griffin, Trident Natasha (or better Trident Carnage, easier to use well) is a solid lineup for the moment. You'll find the Carnage lasts a lot longer when you stay outside 500 meters and run flanking positions. You'll be strong on open maps (canyons, etc). If you're underpowered on Dead City or Powerplant swap the Rhino for a Griffin.
I'm in favor of nerfing Aphids somewhat because I think they promote defensive play. So many Dead City games are now "step out from behind a wall, fire, step back, repeate".
I do agree the game is swinging towards rang; some of that was neded (5x brawlers gets one-dimensional). However I would support nerfing mid-range rockets slightly (Tulu, Tridents) to keep a mix of skills. #1 nerf: hydras. What were they thinking?

As far as nerfing mid-range rockets, I think the only tweak needed is to adjust the splash damage of Tridents and Tuls to that of the Pinata. That way at least backpedaling by bots going over 45KPH will dodge the shots ---- you'd still do damage to slow bots and bots standing still or moving in the wrong direction, but this would remove the mistake of making the triple Trident Fury virtually a stand-alone bot (how could Pix allow this?). IMO, the splash damage radius of rockets is backwards; the PInata should have the biggest radius and the Trident should have the smallest radius ---- as the reward should always be in proportion to the risk.

I very much have a learners permit for the Rhino but I need to learn how to drive it so that I can learn how to counter it. I have the carnage, the idea was to learn fury which I presumed a Natasha would be closer. I will chop and change between the two I think.

The Trident is a free weapon (as all things WSP), so nerfing it should not be too much of an issue.

Weapons: (Orkan + Pinata), (Taran + Magnum), (Tulumbas + Pin), Aphids (+ Orks/ Taran), Thunder, Trident, Zeus. So does the Hellfire Rhino (Orkan/Magnum) stop being viable up in Gold or Top Tier?
