So one popped out of a chest, not sure what to do with it.
Some people have been putting up thoughts on it, but wasn't really sure if it is being viewed as long range or medium. I know its 800m, but some appear to be saying if far more effective at 400/500m? Is one any good or do you need to run a few of them on a build to be effective? What bots are people sticking them on?
If RDB are going to be nerfed in 2.9.2 would one of these builds be a replacement?
Really just trying to figure out wheather to upgrade it up to use, of leave it in the store room until its in a while and people have figured it out?

Although I don't have one yet, I plan on trying one on a Leo with matching Molly's. Seems kinda fun and decent support

One of my tempests is lvl 9 (the other being lvl 8) and sits on top of lancelot and is in tandem with a lvl 8 and lvl 9 t-molots. I am not sure if the molots' travel speed is slightly higher than the tempets'. At 800m I can still do some damage but it is a bit difficult to aim properly (at least I can't). Anything from 700m is a fair target. As it is I can do serious damage to an enemy and strip ancile sheilds down from long range so that my team mates can either use their missles. I have been able to keep trident and zeus carnages and furies moving about from their positions and stop them from pestering team mates. Trebs and gekkos are a bit of a problem which is why I took SuperHero 's suggestion on board to use a shield bot. I have had a number of kills with the tempest BUT it is not a game changer and will mainly find favour on the bigger maps. I did not notice if the damage up close was as great as other people are saying. I would not like to have to use the tempest on a short map - I will probably get eaten up alive at close range. "If RDB are going to be nerfed in 2.9.2 would one of these builds be a replacement?" If it is true that Molots and punishers are getting a 250% buff against armour, then it would mean that they can do serious damage to shield bots for sure. This does not apply to the Tempest though. I'm sure someone can correct me where I am wrong.

As far as I understood it, all ballistic weapons except for the Thunder were going to get that buff applied? Is there an authority on the matter that can weigh in with a sourced answer?

These are some random thoughts, not tested even once.
1 tempest: Leo or Lancelot 2 tempest: raijiin or natasha 3 tempest: fury
Things NOT to put them on:
Carnage. I actually tried this on the test server, terrible. Much better with thunders or zeuseses. Golems, vityaz, boa, and the big offender recently, the butch.
Edit: keeping in mind, these reccomendations are made with the idea that if you can fit all molots you do so. Aka, a lancelot would have 2 mkII's and a tempest, etc.
That particular example would be used if you find yourself facing trebs a lot.

It definitely was applied on the Test Server. You can tell by red sparks it make while contacting the armour.

The video posted by zer00eyz war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/11256/coming-buffs-nerfs-2-9 doesn't mention it - maybe I didn't hear it (too much wax in my ears) But maybe you are right best if we wait to see what actually happens.

On the Test Server the Tempest was busting shields pretty easy with the 250% buff. There is even red busting animation when you shoot all ballistic weapons at shields. Check it at 6:00 Too easy if you ask me. I think the armor rending needs to be ratcheted down a notch or 2. Cos yeah, it was stupid easy to ruin shields.

Equip it on a Golem. It has the mobility to move from target to target. You can also equip both a Mk1 and Mk2 as well ..
.. dare to be different.

I haven't gotten one in the game yet, but I ran it a lot in the test server, and I tried many, many combinations. What I found is, if you only have one, that putting it on a Leo in tandem with molots on the three light points made a great fire combo. I also found good success putting a single on a boa along with a molotTT, and on a golem along with a molot and molotTT. Of those latter two, the Boa was a great platform, since it had good speed, and good toughness, allowed me to really tear up a lot of ground in the 400 to 800 yd range. Great midrange support with that set up. I didn't like it on the Vitayz, didn't do enough for me. I also didn't really like it in any other groupings with other weapons. I found that it pretty much gave the best results when paired wither with other tempests or with molots. Hope that helps.
Now... if you have two, I found that putting those on a Natty along with molots made for some pretty gnarly shredding. But with two, my favorite platform was on a Carnage. The mobility plus the ancile give is a great all around ability to just get stuff done.
