I have 15k worth of WSP just sitting there collecting dust!!
Just played Canyon and followed a Tulu Fuijin in my Zarnage and the TF did pretty well.
I'd probably swap out my DB Griff 9/9). Have x3 lvl 9 Tulumbas. Just for a bit of variation.
What are the merits of the Tulu Fuijin vs RDB Griff (which I have) and should I just wait until the Mark II and other new toys.
Never thought I'd even contemplate buying a Fuijin!!

But max those Hydras out, they need all the punch they can get!

Hey Pilot Moby_dic I did quite well with Tulu Fujin in iOS Diamond. I used to play it last as my conservative 'don't mech out' bot. I won a Doc in the anniversary event and that has taken its place. The Tulu Fujin is underrated in my opinion. Sure, it really does lack agility, but when you use it for midrange with Tulumbus, it mitigates this a bit. Fujin also has the strongest Ancile in the game, which also regenerates faster than any other. Its real strengths are that you can go toe to toe with an RDB Griffin (especially after he jumps) and unleash 3 full Tulus without a SCRATCH in return because of the Ancile.. Satisfying when it happens. Furthermore, if you get in range of a Trident Fury, you should win every time. It's a good asset for your team when you can send these ?illegitimate child?s into hiding. I find it useful on a map like Shenzhen for instance. The fact Fujin is so low to the ground can be a real downside though. Your Tulus will get caught on tiny hills in front of you if you don't aim accordingly. Also, it takes FOREVER to level up to lvl 12 - it takes something like 26 days from lvl 1 - 12. Longest medium bot to upgrade by far. Note though it is rather quick for a medium bot to get to level 7. I'll confess, when I first bought it I kind of regretted it, but in time I came to appreciate what it specialises in and what it doesn't. If anything it's just nice to play something that's different to everyone else out there. All the best with whatever you decide. DV

My Fujin is 90 percent played using only Tulus . Tarans are nice and damaging but i feel that this bot works best at medium range.
Sadly my only other midrange weapon option is a molot.
Fujin was my first love and main motivating factor for grinding on WarBots . I loved the cool alien look of it and ME wanted one .
I just might buy a second one and get that red dragon Paintjob . Never owned a red Fuji before . Like you my spare WSP is bugging me .

I run two Griff's so thinking of swapping out one for the variation.... Don't fancy the upgrade time though!!!!

Tulu Fuji has been my favorite Fuji build. However, even though it isn't perfect at it, it can still do well at close to medium close ranges. 3 Medium weapons is devastating. Stay in cover, use shield well... etc.
Will eventually try the triple Pun Mk2 and Molot Mk2 as well... but a fun Tulu platform for sure.
If the Scourge makes it to live server... would be a good platform.
I am not going to tell you to buy it... as I don't know that you have all the other WSP items needed... however, I would happily say it was worth it for me, whereas if I had bought my Raijer instead of winning it, I would have felt like I wasted my WSP.

Yep I've got everything else I need with WSP - taran's, tridents, carnages etc etc. Don't own a Rhino or Raij but don't plan to. So 15k are just sitting there doing nothing.... I think I'm going to wait till tomorrow's first day event and then splurge

Yeah, point made... give the event a day to see how the chests are hitting and see if the Fuji is in the prize bag... if so, you may be able to spin it and win it!

Two Tulumba Fujins setting back from Yamantau center, one on each side of onramp but back up hill = no reds will get center. The Fujins can hit center, and both above and below both bridges. I have been both prey and predator in this scenario. Well worth the purchase for working a longer range assist and using shield to help protect teammates.
Two hydra Fujins is also pretty formidable if maxed hydras and position is kept at a distance. Use discord comms to call out targets for tag-team assaults.

If anything it's just nice to play something that's different to everyone else out there. All the best with whatever you decide. DV I think you mean speed not agility. It is very nimble, very agile. It doesn't have to turn its legs first like all other bipedal bots. When you switch directions, it doesn't slow down either. This makes the spider bots really good at ducking behind cover and dodging rockets. Now speed, it's not as fast as a Galahad. Prolly one of the slowest in its class. About as fast as a Lancelot with boost. (Meaning if you race a Lancelot from spawn, you could keep up with it). It's also a clumsy bot. So yes, agile and clumsy all-in-one. But that's up to the pilot mostly. It'll get stuck on corners and teammates, and tight spots. But some of the maps have been fixed with the 2.9 update. I never get stuck on corners, and more likely that one of the bipedal bots will catch a corner instead. I also don't trip up my teammates because I give them room to operate and I use passing lanes.

I've always been a fan of the Fujin, even before the current rocket age. It's one of the few bots that can survive an entire game and dish out good damage. Even with the double-damage bug before, it has a strong shield that can quickly recharge. Plus its amazing agility allows it to play peek-a-boo.

No I don't mean just speed. It's also the second it takes to get in and out of sentry mode just to use the Ancile. Many a Fujin pilot have come undone and quit using the bot because of this. Agreed, this can come down to the experience and skill of the pilot, but some just find it too limiting, especially when you're a few beacons down. So clumsy is a good word, yes, also for the reasons you have aptly stated. And if you're against a team that knows what they're doing, they punish you for this every time. All the more reason to make sure you know what your role is in a Fujin and when in the game to run it. I like the Fujin, but it is a conditional bot that does not forgive ignorance. Use responsibly haha ?

Funnily enough I am building exactly this right now for exactly this reason More of a fun side project than anything serious but it might just be awesome Hydra Fujins annoyance level: 999 HAHAHAHA Maxed out Hydras gives you a total damage output of 39k-ish per cycle.. assuming all 18 hydras are a hit (i.e. enemy not taking cover) And from 550m - 600m away from the enemy hidden behind cover along with your ancile... It is annoying as hell! HAHAHA
