I play on my tablet but I went out the other day without it and wanted to try War Robots on my iPhone. When I did it started a brand new game and then I got the following message: My Apple ID is the same on my tablet and my phone so I was surprised to get any message. I just expected the game to load. I've had friends lose games in similar situations in the past and am terrified I'll make the wrong choice. I want to load my tablet game with upgraded hanger and don't want to lose that game by doing something that may merge games or otherwise make my developed game go poof. Why make it confusing. I did have a game once ask what I wanted but it showed the stats of the accts and asked which I wanted to load so there was no confusion. Can someone who knows with absolute certainty (you've actually done this and it worked) what I do here. I feel like Neo having to choose between the blue pill and the red. Thx

DISCLAIMER: I did that only once, so there is a slight chance your situation is different.
I got an tablet for mom, and was testing it out (it was second hand, so I wanted to sure it is not broken or something), so I loaded up War Robots on it. Got same message as you, click "OK" and got my hangar on the tablet. Played a couple of games, made +15 Au, clearead iPad and when I got back to iPhone, all my hangar+new progress was there.
Basically don't play simultaneously on two devices and I think it would be OK.

Oh, and I believe it is not the apple ID, but apple GAMECENTER id that defines your account. But not 100% sure about that.

I have two accounts, one for me and one for my kid. We use iPad, iPad mini, and iPhone, but each account MUST be on separate Apple ID or u risk losing your stuff! You can create a separate/new Apple ID for a second account, but here's my experience of this convoluted process:
1. In iphone, go settings/Game Center/sign in with Apple ID associated with War Robots account. 2. In War Robots hangar, go menu/Game Center 3. Whenever you open War Robots app, Game Center banner should drop and welcome back the associated username Apple ID. If not, close game, restart device 4. You can be in War Robots app with both devices at same time but only battle with one. With the other, you can change up hangar, explore stats, grab rewards etc while in game or waiting for squad to go battle. It's awesome. 5. If brand new hangar appears, make sure you have done settings/Game Center/sign in with Apple ID. Then in hangar, go menu/Game Center. It will give prompt you shared pic of. Select ok to override 'present game' (which refers to the brand new hangar). Your active hangar should then appear. If not, make sure the game content is saved in GC on your usual device. Then: 1) uninstall War Robots app on phone 2) sign into GC in phone settings 3) reinstall War Robots app on phone 4) repeat #5
Finally, as an extra precaution, I also back up my devices to computer (iTunes), then back up computer to external hard drive.
So say you have typical hangar on iPhone and want to open and play the secondary War Robots account. Simply
1) make sure you have been signed into GC with associated Apple ID so content is saved 2) go settings/GC/sign out 3) sign in with Apple ID associated with secondary account 4) open War Robots app, your usual hangar will likely appear. Go to hangar menu, select GC, the present content overide will appear, select yes, the War Robots hangar will refresh, and your secondary account hangar will appear.
I do it all the time. Content is saved for both War Robots accounts, and you can play whichever on any device provided you are signed in with relevant Apple ID
Hope this helps someone navigate it easier. It's been such a hassle to figure out
