Seriously, F. them.
Just had three low bronze battles in a row where the entire blue team was meched out in less than 5 minutes. I managed to kill 1 each in 2 of the matches, but there were always more waiting in the hangar. F. those things!
I think I might be at the point of just leaving the battle when I see them. I hate leaving battles, but I'd like to actually play the game.

Stay strong man.
Or join the rebellion aka Team Cossack.

I'm not sure what level you are but you'll want to hold on until you can get to level 20 and unlock Tarans/Magnums
Fill your hanger with Boas using Thunders and Tarans, they are an excellent counter to Magnum/Pinata Gepards. Work on upgrading your weapons till they are all level 6 (then eventually higher).

In low bronze I have none of those things. When I encountered a Gep in high bronze (about my 5th game there ever, my stuff is only barely up to it) I indeed took it out with a Thunder Taran Boa (at only the cost of 85%) of my health. That I didn't mind so bad. It's how massively they overpower literally everything else in the entirety of low bronze that ruins it.
After the first post, I played 4 more games at low bronze. The first two had geps and I left. The other two did not and I actually was able to play the game. I don't mind losing, I don't mind being wiped out by tactical maneuvering or just being ambushed. I do mind being completely helpless and unable to play the game.

Post a pic of your hanger, you might be using inefficient setups.

I felt that way initially - so then I got some of my own. I almost always start with a Cossack and then when red pulls out the first Gepard I pull mine out. I plan to try a Patton with 4x Aphids and see if I can't nail some of them - even though a good Mag Gep will just keep running and dodge most of them.
They really are insane though. I thought it was bad when I had a Pinata Gep - the Aphid Gep is better and the Mag Gep is totally and completely OP. I normally just open with the Cossack and close with the Aphid Gep - I save the Mag Gep to put up against other Mag Geps only.

I run a 2/6 Orkan Cossack and 3 4/5 ThunderSchutzen. It's got nothing at all to do with my hangar, except for the lack of Gepards there.
If I concentrate on wiping out the Gepard player, I can usually do it at the cost of 2 Schutzes. Then the player just pulls out another one, and I've got nothing left. If I just try to cap beacons, guess who's there lighting me up. If I try to mech out the rest of the reds so that the Gep has no backup, guess who runs up and lights me up. If the red team has a Gepard, the entire game now revolves around that player and nobody else gets to play. If the blue team has a Gep, it's the same story, except I'm not dead as much. I still don't get to cap more than 1 or 2 beacons, and I rarely get to take out any enemy bots. So... I'm done. If there's a gep in low bronze, regardless of side, I'm leaving the battle. It's just not worth it to do anything else. In high bronze they are still annoyingly super fast and powerful, but at least I've got bigger toys to play with and they don't completely dominate the match.

Yeah, the player network of this game is polluted by a lot of toxic individuals.

Gepard will more than likely get nerfed with the next major update, where bots are going to be rebalanced.

I think they'd sacrifice everything else before their the Gep. I'm so disappointed with how quickly the Lancelot became irrelevant with the aphid buff--a 5K gold bot. I don't think Pix minds though since people are more likely to pay RM on a Gep than on a Lance. And with the aphid buff, I bet more people are buying Geps (or Aphids).

If they become that much of a problem, more people will run snipers and spiral bots to wipe them out.

At bronze Mag-Gep is a huge problem. At silver EE-Gep is still a problem as the heavy bots are too slow, though not as discouraging as in bronze. I'm now moving on to Gold and hopefully, the power of Gep gets even smaller.
raising the tier is my way of dealing with Gep seal clubbers. leave bronze asap and let them to seal club with each other.

I keep my distance from them and hit them from range with guns or canons. If you can keep distance between you, they go down quick since they don't have too much armor.
However, they are working on fixing the matchmaking. So once that is done, they will all be paired up against people of their own skill/win loss record so they can't mow over the weaker players. Devs said end of Jan or maybe Feb.

Aside from those aphid Gepards, they're damn near impossible to fight close range 1v1 unless in the open.

Taran Rog counters Gepard Mags reasonably well. But it helps if you can stay behind a tank (Boa / Leo with short range).
Another option on open maps like canyon...properly leveled long distance paired with another bot to finish them off as they get close. Trident / Tulumbas / CRV on a Vit / Golem and a Boa with Taran Thunder. But this requires a coordinated squad and still isn't enough to handle a swarm and it is slow to get beacons. Maybe Zeus would work too, but I don't have one to try yet.

Keep distance and shoot. They are faster than any other bot.
Properly leveled long distance would be great, but doesn't work in low bronze.
I did have one good match today with a Gep in it. A blue pulled it out about halfway through the match. I almost left, but I noticed he had gekkos. I stuck around and it was a pretty close battle. Afterward, although he did do the most damage, it was only a little more than the rest of us. That was a good battle.

Wait till you get to low silver, mediums are good counters unless they are full on 3/12. Zeus taran mag golems work well and if you are interested try and apply for the wiki feeder clans (wikittens on android, wiklings on iOS)

I was in your position only 2 months ago, got my hanger slaughtered multiple times and didn't earn any gold for an extremely long time. As you battle win or lose, you gain money and experience; as long as you keep at it and invest it wisely, you will build a hanger that can deal with the clubbers. As your Boas get more levels on their weapons you'll be able to cut down multiple maggeps per bot and dominate normal bots with ease. Unfortunately it's not an easy road, just keep levelling those Thunders and Orkans.

I love my MagGep, and I love Bronze Tier play. Coming to terms with the fact that they don't work entirely well together. Historically I've opened with a Cossack then moved to the MagGep, but the better I get at this game, the more broken I feel it is. I've actually started skipping the MagGep and going for the Zeus Schutze or Orkan Cossack instead (primary Coss now runs Taran), because frankly I like the challenge. MagGep is just a big, dumb hammer- I don't even really have to try. Last night I did pull it out second, after beaconing for awhile, and even in that diminished field time I managed to put up stupid numbers. Like 15 kills, not kidding. Stupid.
To the point of countering, the only thing I run into consistent trouble on is Thunder Schutzes, especially in tight places. Turning a corner in Power_Plant or Dead_City and running into a Thunder Schutze is the equivalent of placing a cucumber next to a cat.

I only run one Gepard in my hangar, so once you take it out, I'm on to other bots. Feels fair. When the enemy has nothing but gepards though, it gets annoying very fast. A good way to deal with them if you have good aim is to bring out a midranger with some tridents, and watch the enemy make this face D:

BEST ADVICE. Focus on upgrading your weapons 1st. robots lvl 1 weapons at least to lvl 4. buy some schutze and knife fight with thunders. NEVER ever ever stop moving.

Yup, got upgraded weapons, got thunderschutzes, got hammered. The game that was the last straw for me featured one guy with a Gep. End of battle, all 6 blue combined for 409k damage. The 1 Gep guy by himself scored 304k damage for the reds. That's more than 4 of us put together. WAY OP. Now when I see them, I just leave. It's not worth the BS. A few times I've had to leave a couple of games in a row. Eventually I find one without a gep. I'm getting near competitive in high bronze, where I get to have Thunder Taran boas, makes them more manageable.

I've noticed the MM pushing me up more lately. I think it is because I went over 80% War Robots and got close to 90. I had an 18 game win streak going. Then it bumped me up to a tier with a lot more mediums and more clubbers with 1/9 and even 1/10 or 1/12 MagGeps.
Could be the event as well - you need to be top damage for 5 snowflakes so I'm seeing guys open with MagGep almost every game. I start with Cossack or Aphid Gep, then if I get mowed down by a MagGep I pull mine out to hunt him. However, I'm seeing many more level 30 guys recently with 4-5 Gep hangars. When there is a reward for top damage not winning... people are even more motivated to run the way OP damage dealer.

Don't worry. It's the event. Basically they are trying to farm gold and flakes. HOWEVER We get flakes for loosing as well. 5 FLAKES FOR BEING NUMBER 1 ON LOOSING SIDE. sooooooooooooooo Why bother quiting? Stick around and enjoy some super quick matches. Do your best and claim those flakes.
Keep your chin up and enjoy the event for all the free gold, silver and for the lucky few perhaps a good bot and weapons.
Cheers!

But seriously, isn't this better off in the Rants-Board?

Also good point about the Rants part of the board. Mods, can this be moved?

The geps were out in force tonight. Low bronze. One match I actually managed to take 2 of them from one red, but he just pulled another from his hangar. The best match, though, featured 3 red geps, zero for blue. We were meched out in 2m 22s. My first bot made it more than 100m from the drop zone. None of my others did.
