So I recently made DIamond league III and yes the competition is at a much different level than it was in Gold I. Or... maybe it's just my perception. Anyhow I'm still running a 8/10 hangar and I seem to be seeing a much more eclectic set of players, meaning I'm getting put in with a lot of people from the champions league and once in a while a Gold II or III. After the matches I tent to see what other people run. So I'm seeing a lot of 10/10 and higher hangars pretty much consistently. So is a 8/10 hangar sufficient or so I need to start upgrading?

I made it in to Diamond III with this hangar, dropped back down. I could win some games but even with 400/500k damage still 4th or 5th no gold. And win you lose its -22 or -17, hard to survive. To many 11/11 hangars, I,m not trying to get back to Diamond III any time soon. Still since the update climb from gold II to Diamond III so got the gold for climbing leagues I did run 2 Galahads, since update switch 1 Galahad for Carnage Zeus. Playing solo.

I was wondering if what I was seeing was typical is D3. I used that hanger or some variation of an 8/10 all through the through gold leagues. All of sudden I'm see a lot more crazy stuff in matches, like 12/12's full of Lances's or Rhino's, as well a some poor player from G3 to got tossed into a match.

My experience in Diamond league has been similar to all of yours. I run a mainly 9/9 hanger and Diamond league is just not fun for me because of the huge swings in match-up strength.
When I start to get too high in Gold I will run more beacon cappers. This reduces my damage but not my win percentage, meaning that when my team loses I will lose a lot of league points and when my team wins I will only win a few league points. This strategy tends to keep me in Gold league where I like it.

I have the same issues with the transition to diamond 3, my hanger is not up to standard yet so I constantly yo-yo between the two. I average 500k damage in gold and probably 200k in diamond.

Having a similar experience, only in D3 a few days, but really struggling, only doing half the damage I used to, usually in the bottom half of the scores on every match, doing slightly better on games that are losses, but still having my 「bum-bum」 handed to me in just about every match. Struggling to complete the dailyâs and grind enough Ag to keep the upgrades rolling, no Au at all, except for the dailyâs. Iâd like to blame the hanger strength, but while there are plenty in the matches with stronger hangers many of the guys getting top damage have comparable loadouts to me. Not sure what to do, get better I suppose?

I just entered Diamond 3 myself, and am getting absolutely demolished by 10-11/12 bots when, all my bots are level 7 with level 8 weapons. It's just not possible for me to compete against such huge damage potential. The league system is unviable, and hangar based matchmaking has to return to even the playing field.

Have just been 'hammered ' back in to Gold, I think I am ok with that, it was fun while it lasted ( well not really if I'm honest)

I ended up geting bounced out of D3 and back to G1 after about 10 days. My exiting hanger cant take the damage nor does it have the firepower that some do. Some matches I did pretty good in and others I was mercilessly slaughtered in.So I'm back hovering a little below D3. I need to start doing some upgrades!

For comparison, I just crossed into Diamond at the end of last week, then spent the weekend on test, and re-qualified for Diamond again after the end of the month. Ummm, pay no attention to the win %. I wish I were that good. Somewhere the Back-of-the-hand Express has a ride queued up for me.

I just hit Diamond 3 yesterday. Even though I am in a clan, I always play solo. With my hangar, should I be worried about being in Diamond?

I was in Gold 1 Diamond 3 for about 6 months and went up and down loads of times. Now I am in Diamond 2. The only way for me to progress was to completely change my playstyle (less aggressive) and change my hangar (added RDB Griff and upgraded my Zarnage) and then I finally got some movement up the league ladder.

Im in diamond league 2 and all my bots are to level 9 and 10 and so does my weapons 9/10 level weapons and robots are the most ideal for this league even though some are using level 8 as they have skill and are use to the stress that occurs when you play in the diamond league. From this point and on Players use a lot of strategies and team play. So this gonna be realy difficult if you still keep those level on your hanger.Better upgrade them pal. If you want a competitive hanger i advice you to keep two griffin one DB and the other either plasma or RDB Keep one long Range Robot.Mainly the one you are most used to.But it you end up in close range map the carnage Zeus or trident combo will be a big help!!! Also you need to save a lot for lancelot because all the players on the diamond league have at least one in there hanger. Either ancilot or thunder/orkans. This will be realy difficult from now on good luck to you!!!

The only way for me to progress was to completely change my playstyle (less aggressive) and change my hangar (added RDB Griff and upgraded my Zarnage) and then I finally got some movement up the league ladder. That is exactly what did the trick for me, too. Adjusting the play style was probably the single most important aspect to help make it over the threshold from iOS D1 to E3. With generally weaker hangar it meant less straight forward aggression, observing situations a bit before rushing in, and buddying up whenever I could, more often being the sidekick than the frontman. That style of play also had a tendency to open up more tactical opportunities, like going for unguarded beacons or finishing off already damaged reds. Generally team play improves when moving up in the league ladder, and that's something to benefit from - and of course contribute to. I also think having two proper mid-range support bots in the roster helped (with 5-slot hangar, not sure how 4-slot hangar performance would respond to that). Just had to remember not to sit too long in them, if the situation required otherwise.

Making adjustments to my playing style and did a couple of tweaks to the levels of things and I think I'm pretty solid in D3 now. Everything is of course subject to change. With the summer event going on I'm seeing all manner of combinations in matches now. Mostly I'm getting matched up people at my level or higher. I still see G1 people in with me and on rare occasion a G2. I'm starting to see a lot of leveled up gekkos these days. They used to be an annoyance and now I they're a real PITA if they are on a Leo or Patton.

I've identical hangar (just Lv 10 Weapon for DB Griffin) and I'm making my way to Expert 2. This is completely viable for Diamond 3. When the MM match me with Diamond 3 and some Expert I easily win 80% of the game taking 5 or 10 gold. My AVG damage is 550k and 3,5 kills but in the foremention ones i have AVG 700k and 5 kills. Just try different dropout and improve your gamplay: I always start with Carnage, than DB Griff, Lancelot, Stuka and Gala as fifth.

Struggling to complete the daily’s and grind enough Ag to keep the upgrades rolling, no Au at all, except for the daily’s. I’d like to blame the hanger strength, but while there are plenty in the matches with stronger hangers many of the guys getting top damage have comparable loadouts to me. Not sure what to do, get better I suppose? There's always room for improvement, so yeah, work on little things to help your game. And definitely keep upgrading your hardware as long as the silver holds out. I'm lucky to have amassed a good pile during the event, so I'm sitting on about 230 m right now, with a mostly 8/9 hangar. But I did just throw in a Fujin that's going to get some much needed attention starting in just a few hours. I'm trying to time the upgrades to keep them going non-stop until I can get everything up to 9, then re-evaluate what I want to run with. I really want to replace my Gareth with a Galahad, but I'm still over 2k Au away from that. Which brings me to my third point: experiment with different setups. Take a look at what other players are running with and try some different things. There's no harm at all in dropping back into Gold while experimenting and possibly finding a different bot that might work better, or even just using the ones you have in a different order. I am in the same boat as you guys, now in D3 (for the third time). It's been over a week now this trip, and while I have good stretches and bad, I think I'm pretty solidly planted in Diamond enough that I'll stay this time. But of things do turn to crap and I somehow end up back in Gold again, I don't care. Whatever it takes to get a hangar I like and level it up enough to stay competitive. To answer somebody's question, you probably want your hangar to be 9/10 to stay in and get through Diamond.

I'm not sure but my hangar is lvl 10 Carnage, 8,9 thunders lvl 11 fujin 7,8,10 tarans lvl 8 leo 7,7,9 magnums w/ 9 thunder lvl 7 natashe 6,7, thunder w/ 6,7 pinata
I've been doing quite well since I got into DIII with around 350-450k dmg per game 150k on my lowest and my highest is 700-800k dmg. Considering my natasha is quite weak, most of the dmg actually revolves around my carnage and fujin since my other 2 never last too long.

Gold-Diamond. Hit Expert twice. Pushed back by huge losses in a row, once all the way back to Gold2. This is a b*tch hanger to try and capture beacons with even with the Bulgasari and Griffen. And I find myself forced to at least try in over 85% of the matches I'm in even when there are much faster bots on my teams. Because it appears that even players at this level, players who should know to get the 「fluffernutter」ing beacons, are just as 「fluffernutter」tarded as any noob. I'm not finding any difference at all between Diamond and Silver(my Steel Cat profile). It's the same beacon ignoring 「fluffernutter」tards populating both leagues. It's the same tankers and faders. It's just the same. I'm of the opinion that any differences are just in a player's head. I've seen absolutely nothing that indicates that gameplay or playing styles are different between Silver and Diamond. So I doubt there actually is.

Wow the amount of thread necromancy....
Anyway.... I am not boasting as I have a lot of experience which counts more than any level of sheer skill.
Diamond 3 with a 5 slot 6/6 hangar with 2 orkans. specifically thunder mag leo, thunder punisher leo, punisher griffin, db griffin and taran fujin.

Long story short, I was met with 12250 gold after 10 months of absence on my old iOS account, and bought some shiny new toys.
My exact hangar is: Thunder pinata leo, PDB griffin, DB griffin, RDB griffin, and a zeus gekko natasha. Practically all weapons level 5 and all bots level 6. I also have a stalker that I swap in and out when I want to troll.
I went from silver 1 to gold 1 in a matter of days, how I did that with basically a 5/6 hangar beats me. Hope I can get to D3 for that gold reward, then gonna try to stay in gold until I get up to a 7/7 or 8/8 hangar.

Since this post was been dragged back from the dead I thought I would just let all concerned know that I did eventually manage to get my sorry 「bum-bum」 through D3. But I missed it so much i started a second android account just so I could enjoy playing with the tankers again. It will probably stay in D3, like the good mr. moody keeping it all at 6/6 and thats about as far as i think I can go with it.
