To be fair, that is in total, not for the current update only.Y Yep, have no idea how to look up ratings for current release for android. But on iOS it's good for recent release, too.

Russel cant seem to figure out sarcasm, and thinks its the same as trolling. No more point here, just wasting air. I can appreciate good sarcasm, but with recent update, too many new guys are taking everything that was said at face value. So I'm trying to be more factual.

I have no problems with the recent update, unlike so many before. As far as face value and facts at times with this game, seems murky.

Personally, I am happy and relieved that they removed that link.
I've said before that the in-game link was the deathkiss to this forum. What attracted me to this forum was that it was centered around intelligent discussion. That link funneled all of the Facebook trash into the forum and gave them another outlet for their complacency.
The people who are content with the way things are rarely go out of their way to tell everybody how content they are. The discontent seem to search out every opportunity to let the world know how discontent they are.

FYI 1. I suspect that Pix rotates the links it attaches in game. It was not "banned" 2. They didn't ask us before adding the link. 3. The exposure as Dredd77 said was a real 2 edged sword as it brought some great quality folks, but also a lot of idiots and folks who thought they knew it all while being level 25 in bronze or silver. (Trust me, the REAL learning starts when you hit lvl 30). 4. Pix used to have their own official website and it bombed badly due to cancerous whining people whom they could not control (or couldnt be bothered). 5. The mods and admins still have our channels direct to Pix. I personally am not bothered about the link as I have to agree with Dredd that the ratio of good to bad VOCAL contributors was skewed more towards folks who were happy to have another avenue aside from FB to complain. I cannot begin to tell you much more moderating and banning we had to do as a result of the tsunami of additional folks who signed up and started whining and also giving terrible advice (hydra-Zeus Lancelot is a perfect example) and insisting they knew what they were talking about while being in the silver league. We could do with some down-time to separate the wheat from the chaff.

We need to be autonymous from PIX. Many people have thought and still appear to think at times that we are PIX. We exist for players not PIX. We need to be independent. Without that, then they have some control, influence, etc.

Yup, if I had been allowed to ban people posting bad advice, the wiki would be a ghost town right about now. Honestly, I'm tempted to remove the link as I don't really have full control over what is posted there anymore due to the sheer number of people on there and the fact that the mods already have their hands full here.

JK We are, but the closer we get to PIX the more we are influenced directly or indirectly. When they added us to the game it did have an impact. This place got worse than usual. Probably brain children from FB. A fair number of people have thought we were the devs, and it still happens. I think in what ever way, even in appearance, making or autonomy clear is important. I'm not sayingwe aren't autonomous or independent, I am speaking to its importance.

When bad advice occurs, might be best to strongly point it out. There might me a fine line between bad advice/opinion/personal opinion/personal experience and skill. Might not work for everyone, but does for some. On wiki I spoke of my use of quad - mag pattons and punisher /molot pattons to combat trial -mag Geps. Many argued BS. Well I was doing it. I got Geps, learned to pilot them, and learned to fight them. Just cause most wouldn't or couldnt didnt mean I was wrong, it was a skill thing, of which many lacked. It did cause problems, and I wasn't gonna back down from nobody. I believe it led to a ban. Do it again anyway.
I'm not talking no Bill of Rights, 1A thing. The type of ban you speak of is potentially destructive censorship, crushing free expression and the exchange of ideas. Go to far with it, I don't think the result would be desireable. Look how 「bum-bum」9 the filter on the forum is. On a topic of cars, I discussed my performance mods. One was an adjustable can gear. I spoke of how I had r -e -t -a -r _d _e -d my timing -4degrees. Well that "r" word was censored because of someones PC based delicate sensibilities. Nevermind it has multiple meanings and is a legitamate term. Note, if I had advanced my timing, that would have been okay. Truth vs alt -truth. Fact vs feeling
On the other hand, the TC thing on the Wiki could get elitist at times. Doesn't seem to have happened here. Just as you admins and mods don't want bad info put out, people don't want to be told what to say, have ideas shoved on then, or be electronically silenced. Tread carefully in this area.

^This It's all about the money. (Two magnum for 55 bucks? Get me four!) As a wise person on this forum said in two other threads... if the prices were "too low", you'd be whining about that. People would say this game is becoming "pay-to-win"... blah, blah, blah. Outrageous prices is a GOOD thing. Discounts are BAD. How?? I wouldn't whine about low prices, in fact I might actually buy something. I wouldn't want wallet warriors to get too OP for the rest of us, but just something nice if you didn't want to save up gold

After the update the link to our forum in the game is gone (Android). They now send you to reddit.com instead here. Maybe it was too many truths, or rants. What do you think? I didn't even know this forum was linked in-game. I found this forum via Google. Oh well. Why would they promote this forum anyway? Why don't they have an official forum like most game developers? i have a wise crack about how pix can barely.......and now you want them to run a forum too?....but I don't want them to ban us more than they already banned us

Funnily enough, at least some of this dubious "credit" has to go to Pixo linking us in the first place, which brought in a sea of d bags (in addition to some quality folks, absolutely). A sea of d bags? I have been catching a scent of vinegar, but I thought it was coming from the kitchen.

OMG, I'm still missing 1.7k Au to get to know the game! Definitely not insulted, have to add "Still a rookie" to my avatar I was more or less pure listener for the period that I felt I was learning the principles of the game, but started posting before fulfilling both criteria above. Now, I don't claim I know THE BIG GUYS game but I feel entitled to give a hint to Silver players. I appreciate a sincere PM shall anybody think I should not. I agree that to give advices, one needs experience - that's 50 % of it. Second 50 % is analytical skill. (btw that's what makes Dredd outstanding) Experience is to tell whether things we've tried are worthy (i.e. effective or funny) or not. Analysis is to tell whether things that are NOT covered by experience could be worthy or not. It's much less precise but can bring more surprising results. However, claiming that judgement can be based solely on experience (or no-experience) is IMO wrong. I have a recent experience on this: I've read here many times that Natasha is a crap. Never had that feeling. Yeah, it's damned slow, but strongly armed, so analytically it's interesting. The former can be helped - I have lvl 8 so far, mobility is better. However, while squadding with Gold clanmates recently, one asked me if I might put Naty away. Didn't ask why and pulled out Leo - and he was OK. As I thought about it later, the guy might have never experienced a lvl 9 Naty midranger joining him in the central Yamantau beacon and decimating incoming brawlers. On the other hand, he might have experienced lots of coward lvl 6 sniper or Zenit/Norricum ones. Obviously his experience was terrible - he didn't even try to understand if the bot might be useful or not. A second, I'd serve a recent discussion on Ancilot vs Ancileo. At first, the rookie coming with statement that Ancileo is pretty strong has been smashed by pro statements that it must be complete thrash. After some time, a pro player tried both at his pro level and confirmed that Ancileo is actually quite useful. Sooo...some of the ideas newbies bring are definitely crazy, it's often analytics lacking experience. The best answer is then probably "Go try it yourself and come back with experience". However, some may become pretty useful, and some may at least score in the "Strange builds met in the wild" thread, so serving its purpose. If the pro community tells rookies "Shut up and listen", they probably will. But weigh your words carefully, it might become boring here. Even I already know what META is and wouldn't come for further advice on how to be more effective. I come for fresh & funny ideas.

Even I already know what META is and wouldn't come for further advice on how to be more effective. I come for fresh & funny ideas. I think that "4 vs 5" argument is dead already, so I might just skip that part and move to the interesting one. You know, the problem with experience is that it's purely subjective. I'll put an example to you, please read it through first: recently Pixx release Orkan\Pinata\Punisher\Molot nerf, but, being excellent at marketing, they added Tulu\Pin buff and call it "an increased in damage", while letting Molot nerf sneakily slide. And while I would not discuss Pinata here (nerfing damage while making it fire-when-reload is controversial), I would like to point out definite nerf was done to Punishers and Orkan (and to Molots, too). What they did was lying and not telling the whole truth. First of all, there was only +7% damage increase to Punishers (surprise-surprise!) while their press-release was like (and I quote): Punisher and Punisher Mk2 buffs: damage increased by 10%;At the very same time, they decreased FireRate for the both guns by whopping -23% As a result, now Punisher is -15% in burst DPS and -7% in cycle DPS. (believe me, I know about accelerated state, it is not relevant because it was introduced two months ago; I've taken that into account) For the Punisher Mk2 is basically the same, only they did truly make +10% damage while lowering firerate same -23%. It is now -12.5% for burst DPS and -4.5% for cycle DPS. Orkan, on the other hand, was buffed lightly in comparison with Punishers: it was 10 rps, now 8.3 rps and damage went from 737 to 860, thus dropping from 10*737 = 7,370 to 8.3*860 = 7,138 only -4% drop in DPS So basically, now if you fight some big guy, who could withstand the damage for several seconds, you are 「fluffernutter」ed up hard, because you need much more time to deal the same amount of damage. The only situation where you are better off with new model is the one when you are shooting entire clip at the back of the unsuspecting enemy. In any other situation, when you might get some retaliation by Plasma or Thunder you are worse now than prior to the update. These are the facts, you can start the game for yourself and check out weapon description. Or check it in-game; believe me, I ran the tests and can confirm firerate change. But the fun fact is - I keep hearing guys who read "+10% increase" and "+15% increase", and MADE themselves to believe that "wow, I definitely can FEEL the buff!". That is called, if I remember correctly, the Placebo effect. Or maybe Punisher guys are fighting Orkan guys and both of them feels like "wow, fighting against same enemy is now easier". So that's what's wrong with purely "experiencing" some stuff. You can't really run same battle twice against same enemies, while changing just 1 variable. So you need some theory to explain it. P.s and closerange Natty is 「dookie」. I was running one, replaced it with Leo. Firstly I though that it is just my luck and superior skill; however later I started noticing that my Thunder-Pinata Leo is capable of actually killing Thunder Natasha and remain at ~50% health. After some time I noticed that I CANNOT succesfully kill a Carnage with my Leo; I wondered why so? Both Natty and Carnage are 2xThunders, but Natty is bigger and +2 light slots. And then it hit me - Natty is so big, that she is actually works like a bullet magnet. She tends to collect entire shot of my thunder; more than that - her hardpoints is pretty far apart, so most of pellets are scattered behind my Leo. And Carnage is small and his Thunders are located right at the center of a mass of my Leo, so 100% of pelelts are hitting my hull. so, there might be some variables that you are not yet aware of, so the best thing is to experience, then get some quality theory stuff, and then adjust your practice. P.p.s. and I like to add that this entire text is useless if you are having more fun playing less effective way. Because main idea of a game is to be fun. As an example - I run now 3xJesse and 2xDocs; I know that this hangar is far from optimal, but it is crazy fun. Oh, and they are not upgraded well enough, too. However, I managed to break into Diamond3 today, so fun and enthusiasm is helping me, a lot ;)
