I heard (iirc) Strayed mention War Robots being a western style mech game the other day and I've been thinking on it. Correct me if I'm wrong:
Western-style:
-Oversized(looks like it would take 10 people to pilot/60M+)
-Glued to the ground
-"weapon boat" construction(all/most weapons available simultaneously), Frames are static, some internal tuning, otherwise, just weapon sets are customizable.
-slow paced and somewhat chunky
-Positionally tactical gameplay
Eastern:
-relatively practical sized (10M (Armorer core 1-3+5)-30M tall (Gundam)
-Varied transportation methods:Tank, Biped, Quad, Hover,Reverse Joint, simple to complex Aerial manuevarability
-Humanoid construction(2 sets of main (interchangeable)weapons+sub weapons), highly customizable bots
-reaction heavy gameplay
With switchbots on the way, I wanted to see what else from 'eastern' style mech games you guys would want to see in War Robots.

Customization is always a plus for Mech Games.

Besides that we play tincans with weapons attached to it (and eventually a special ability), the game is simply a third person twinstick shooter to me. It lacks many things that would make it a Mech Combat Game. And a super-hectic Gundam Style gameplay would be impossible with sub-par mobile controls... Edit: voted for nothing, some shuffling beacons would be nice, but could also go totally wrong
