I believe many players have been pissed off by the Aphids rain including me. Initially I'm saving Au for a Fury and reach 3000++ mark. Should I get 4 Aphids or keep saving for Fury? Yes, Fury is a dominant bot in gold tier, but since the Aphid buff, it has become another deadliest setup in gold tier as well. Thought?

Fury by far. Aphids are effective but only when you have some good teammates that have your back. Same could be said for the fury, however through personal experience the fury is much more game changing than an aphid bot.

Fury for sure. Aphids can get nerf or be adjusted at anytime.
But Fury with its 3x Heavy points will always be the best support bot for this game.

To put this into perspective, a triple trident fury has around the same dpm as a db rhino/griff, but with twice the range, faster projectile speed(effectively undodgeable, if you're skilled enough with it, you can even hit jumping bots), and a larger splash radius.

One triple trident fury, once it gets into a good position, can effectively guard three beacons at once until it is destroyed.

Fury for sure unless you're not in a clan, then get a Lancelot or (another) Galahad.

(effectively undodgeable, if you're skilled enough with it, you can even hit jumping bots) targeting system doesn't make it easy, and you need to be specifically focussing on a bot if you want to accurately hit a jumping bot.

IDK, I just lead em a little bit more than on the ground... it's not hard at all tbh... harder to hit a dodging Gep with Orks and Pinatas than a Griff in the air... Remember, that Trident shell has the largest splash AoE. You don't have to be perfect.

Fury. But it is useless without the weapons, so unless you have the tridents/trebs/zeus built, don't bother buying the Fury, IMHO.
And 3 heavies WILL take awhile to build, unless you instamax them.

You don't have to be perfect. what I'm saying is you don't exactly get a very large window of time to hit a bot mid-jump, especially with tridents due to the slight delay before they are actually fired. So if you aren't paying attention to specifically that jumping bot at the time it is unlikely you will hit them.

All things considered... IMO, as far as what I use on a regular basis NOW... barring any future changes in MM or whatever... I'd say Aphids. I have 3 Tridents leveled up to par with my hanger, and a Fury, and I rarely use it. I prefer the Carny for my Trident platform... It just fits me better. I have 4 aphids split between 2 Galahads, 1 Orkid and 1 Plasmid (Wolfie coined that term btw), and I love em. Every match I have aphids of some kind... whether it is what I said before, or 3 of em on a Leo, or the very occasional Patton Aphid.
Fury is good though, and I did do some good damage in it... but I just like the carny better for Tridents.
YMMV, but my point is that you should go with what you feel you will play and enjoy in this instance.
