Why oh why do they keep changing the models of bots and weapons? Well, somebody seems to like UFO X-com: Enemy Unknown 1994 game, because new models are definitely based off that game. This is new Pinata This is Gekko

Now I feel like firing it back up... ahh ahaha :)) I used to play it in school. used to put primed explosives at my team's belt so any alien 「bum-bum hole」 killing my guys at close range would blow up. Hated those zombie guys during terror attacks.... You know there are guys who re-written x-com in higher resolution for current computers, right?

Hated those zombie guys during terror attacks.... You know there are guys who re-written x-com in higher resolution for current computers, right? No, I was not aware of that! Also, I used to have my guys drop their weapons at the end of their turn if facing those mind control ?illegitimate child?s. That way if anyone succumbed they couldn't do any damage and I could safely ignore them. Hopefully they'd shake it off and I would just have them grab whatever was nearby. Sure combat efficiency went way down picking up and dropping weapons all fight long but survivability went way way up.

So, Gekkos were buffed a few months ago by 15%, and not much changed as far as how many folk use them. 20% more... and it may actually make a difference that is noticeable. I have a few leveled... 3 at 9 and 2 at 8 I think... maybe 2 at 9 and 3 at 8... anyway, they do good as harassment weapons... but not so much for actual damage unless grouped and high leveled... as they are now, anyway. I could see this next buff as getting them at the point that they should be as a Gold weapon... and while I agree that they should be a more feared weapon, I am not looking forward to the buff... they will make unshielded bots even more hesitant to get into the scrum. I will prolly throw 4 of them on a Patton or a Jesse and 3 with a Zeus or a Treb on a Leo... just to gauge the difference from pre-buff play quality... but I don't feel like I will include them on any permanent setup. But, who knows... maybe a Rhino with Molot Mk2s and a couple of Geks would make a great Troll Suppression bot I need SOME reason to dust that big bot off...
