I read Dredd's article about how if you can open only 1000Au chests in sufficient quantity to open the super chest, you are almost certainly going to get prizes worth more than the gold you put into it. HOWEVER, what about players who already have most of what they want so for example I want:
Was going to buy one of with the 5k gold I saved up: 1 Fury 1 Lance
Would like: 1 Butch 2 Orkan (I have 4 but perhaps 2 more would be nice for a savage rocket party if I get the lance) 3 Zeuss (only if I get the fury) 1 Rogatka (I need to know if it is like Galahad and can hang in the upper tiers before I went for one)
I don't want Jesse Doc Gary Galahad Gepard Aphid Gecko Ancile
So while, I will probably be able to scrape the last 2.5k Au together by the end of the event (or could make a small purchase), I'm just not sure if there's much value in it for me. Also, I take considerably less pleasure than the average player in "gambling" so clicking on the chests 8 times would not be tedious but I certainly wouldn't do it for the lower value chests the amount of times required to get to a super chest that way. What would you do if you were in m shoes?

I received 2500 gold in my superchest. I actually have fun spinning, but since you don't, I think it might be wiser to save. I certainly wouldn't spin just to get a super chest. You have a long list of things you don't want, so it's extremely likely you'd just be setting yourself back from acquiring what you actually want. If it helps, here's my list of spins from 1000 au chests:
3000 au Zeus 600 au 600 au 550 au Gepard Gepard (because fml)

What would you do if you were in m shoes? I would say spin and take a gamble. If you don't plan to spend real money, I don't see how else you can get a Butch. You can wait until the next event, but who knows when that will be and how that will look like. If you're confident, then you can save up now for the Butch for next time. Or you can take a chance, and try to win everything now. Sure you're prolly get an unwanted Ancile or Gepard, but you also might end up with the Butch, Fury, and Lance too. I don't enjoy gambling either, but I don't see any other way for me to get a Butch. Everything else I can save for later, including a 5th slot. Also if you believe the math, it isn't strictly gambling. If you can reach the superchest, esp. multiple times, then you'll come out ahead. Either you get gold, or you get a gold item. Even if you get less gold like 750, then you can reinvest it towards the superchest again. And again. If you do decide to spin, I would suggest playing as much as possible to earn more gold to pad your bank account.

What would you do if you were in m shoes? Look at the chart I put up on the blog. For every item you see no value in, replace the value in column D with zero. Then an add up what's left. If it is 1000 or less, save your money.

I was quite lucky.
I started with a base of more or less 7k and started rolling only gold chests, reinvesting all the gold for chests. I got from gold chest and 4 (or 5 don't remember) superchest
1 butch 1 lancelot 1 galahead 3 ancile 1 aphid 1 zeus 1 gepard
2,5k remained
Not Bad!

... don't forget to count Butch as 14,000 Gold, if you win one...
... and I just won a half-eaten Snickers bar worth $1,000 in my local raffle! :-)

Hi all. I've followed this thread with interest as I wanted so many of the prizes but am historically a very unlucky gambler. After playing this for a good while I'd eventually accrued 7500 and after reading the article by dread, cudos to you dread, I decided to Gamble what I had on the gold chest. All I can say is I'm a very contented bunny. Ended up doing 2 super chests and have 600+gold left and what are for me great prizes. It wasn't real money I spent so very happy. Now to try out stuff i didn't have.

I'm going to post to Dredd that for his next entry, he should recalculate the value using "normal" gold values for the Wild West bots, not the super inflated values. This is where the normal gold values should be:
Jesse = 1250 Doc = 2500 Butch = 5000
On a quick glance, EV would still be positive as each only contributes 40 to EV.

It is worth for those who can count 1000+ EV and because of the variance 5-7000+ gold need to gain profit. You have around 10% chance for get useful item on each spin.
