I would recommend a Trident Carny, but I would rather you get a RDB Griffin or Trident/Pin Natasha because they are less dangerous and easier for me to take down in battle Hehe, so you would rather find my son than me in battle

I bought a Tridents Carnage to replace RBD Griffin. They both have their advantage, The reason I choose Carnage because I only need to upgrade 2 Tridents, 4 weapons on Griffin. Right! I didn't think of that. And the Carnie is cheaper to upgrade than the Griffin, as well

I have all 3... and rotate a lot. Currently back to Fury. For the longest time... Tri Carn and Zeus Carn were my main MR choices. Recently I put the RDB back in... at 8/9, and am loving it. I will put it back in soon... just trying to stay objective and keep my Trident skills up right now. The fun and versatility of the MR Carny is a very close second, but I would rather Thunders on it lately, and with the RDB able to provide that 3rd dimension of firing angle that helps so much on short maps, I have been really loving it. Especially on the Moon Map. For opposition transparency - When I am running solo, I see the majority of peeps falling within the 10/10 and 9/9 range with a small amount of variation in either direction. Squadding I see anywhere from Champion on down... and RDB Griff has still held its own no matter what level. To me, Carnage, Fury, and Griff MR role is very comparable so it comes down to preference. Each has strength and weakness... so it matters which one fits you best. IMO, YMMV. ^this^ After all the excellent advice, I realize that my son will stick to the RDB mostly because he loves to play with it. And I love Carnie, so that's what I'll use. In the end, you just maximize fun output

With the addition of the Moon map I am liking the speed of the TriCarny over my Fury. These 2 are my last to get L9 - Carnage is in process now & Fury is still plodding along at L8. As you just mentioned and I would concur - the rdb Griffin would excel on the Moon! I will have to swap out my Stuka & give it a go!!

Oh, good to know. Right now I play with three carnages! Two thunders and a tridents one. One of the thunders will be replaced by a zeuses carnage very soon. I like that bot a lot and think it's cheap to upgrade, so I thought I'd try the three and if in the future I have to ditch one, it won't feel that bad... I have all 3 and have shelved the rdb Griffin. I run Tridents on Fury or Carnage, I like to swap around. Now I do love my Griffins, I run 2 - Stuka & db! But as you move up that 100m buffer with Tridents / Zeus becomes more and more apparent. The firepower & distance are a 1-2 punch against the rdb Griffin. Reviewing the variables the rdb comes up short around Diamond and above. I have recently moved in Expert III and the rdb Griffin does not exist. My bots are L9-10 and weapons are L10+. I'm talking more about Masters and up, or level 12s. Most Carnage at that point are using Thunders. At these levels, it's all about firepower, not about living long enough to deliver it. You do that and you are letting enemy hold the beacon. In particular the Ancilot will start crowding them. For this reason, you also see less RDB. But I've faced more of them than Carnage by Master players. At level 10, you do see a lot of trident Carnage though.

You will see even less trident Carange than you would RDB Griffin in the high leagues. Oh, good to know. Right now I play with three carnages! Two thunders and a tridents one. I like that bot a lot and think it's cheap to upgrade, so I thought I'd try the three and if in the future I have to ditch one, it won't feel that bad... Not true... I play expert 2 and every game I see carnies with either tridents or Zeus. I rarely see rdb Griffs anymore.

When I review the pilots after battle, overwhelmingly the Carnys are running Thunders with max hangars from Master's and Champion's tiers. The OP is referring to a L7 hangar, a long time in between L7 & L11+. I am also on Android and you are IOS, so tier spacing is somewhat different.
