I had ~1400 gold. Spun the gold chest and won 850. Cool, did another spin (gold again). Won a Rogatka!

Started with 2500 Au. Running only 1000 Au chests I got enough gold to keep spinning until I amassed 2 Gareths and a Superchest, which resulted in a Zeus. Unfortunately I already had a Gareth, which I never use. Oh well, the Zeus will come in handy.

Just spun 1 silver chest (100 Gold) and got 1,000 gold. Yea buddy!  Edit: I might add that that was the first roll I took since the event started Friday morning. |

I think Pix went crazy with this event!! I won so far 2 Lances, 3 Galahads, one Doc, one Rog, 2 Furys and an excessive amount of gold weapons.. Way more than I need from Orks to Anciles to Zeus and Aphids.. And we're still at the start of the event! At the end, all of us will end up with all the hangars we wish to optain.. I may end even end with 5 Lances.. Would like to try such a hangar. Yes I I vested some real money but very little compared to what collected. The thing is once one hits five to six 1000k chests it will keep going and going.. I even ended up with enough spare gold to speed up upgrades.. Will post a screenshots later.. I forgot to mention how many Gepards and Garys I won as well.  Lost count really. Will check the Screenshots later.. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but your assertion that people will get enough gold to keep "going and going" is misleading. I have now opened six 1000 chests, four of which were gold and only profited from one (and the amount gained is less than the cost of a single 1000 chest). Let me be clear - I am not complaining about my returns from the 1000 au chests, but the number of people who posted about being able to spin and spin with gold rewards doesn't necessarily reflect the odds. Anyway, the takeaway for anyone interested is that in six 1000 au chests opened, I had a net profit of 1,450 au when the zeus and gepard are included, and 750 if only including gold rewards. |

No. I did gold spins and got a lot of gold, and did more spins. Oh and I also got 2 rogs lol All the spins are "gold spins." It is curious how everyone winning seems mentally incapable of clearly and concisely explaining which spins won what, how many attempts it took, what they actually won versus what they purchased with gold winnings, et cetera. If spinning equals winning, why did you stop to buy stuff? Why didn't you just keep spinning in perpetuity and get a million gold and a 100 Rogatkas? I bet you're just a blast at parties.... |

Sorry, it really looks to ME like 90% of the above is sheer BS. I spun 3 times from maybe 1800AU and wound up with the gold to make the third spin and an aphic. I now have 29 gold, There is nothing in those gold chests.

Saw everybody talking about their wins, bought the 6500 gold pack. Was hopong for a Lance or Butch. Won like 4 Gareth, 1 Galahad, 4 or 5 gekko, 3 or 4 aphid, 2 zeus, 2 Jesse, 1 Doc...and an ancile. I think I came out pretty good. Had 900 gold when it was over. No idea how many spins or superchests it was but it rolled for a little while.

It seems that opening gold chests works for some people, but it certainly hasn't for me. When the event started I had 850 Au and received 200 Au to signal the event opening. After blowing all that gold, plus an additional 100 Au on the 10 Au chest I have 2 Pins, a couple of tiny Au wins, like 1 or 3, some silver and nothing else. Will I be trying any more? Absolutely NOT! As I have 23 million in silver I'm not interested in winning 200k for 100 Au either.
However the gold rewards at the end of every game have helped me recoup some of my losses and I'm back up to 630 Au. However, by now I could have bought my 1st aphid or orkan so I'm not throwing away any more Au on the chests.
The Event Tasks are a different matter and with no outlay I have a new hydra, gekko and ! am about to get a new Taran. So I have no complaints with the Event Tasks. But if the truth be told the only prize here that interests me is the Taran, which I can buy with WSPs so its not such a big deal anyway. I'd be really happy to win an Ancille but I don't think I'll get there by the 15th of May.
All in all I like the event but having saved long and hard to earn 5000 Au to get a 5th slot and then worked long and hard to start saving again for a pair of Orkans I don't think the chests are worth it. I would also say, for those folk that have won loads and loads of robots and weapons, you can only play with 5 robots and it takes so long to upgrade to Level 12 that in some ways the choice becomes a distraction. I'm really happy to have a gekko but I'll never seriously use it because I don't fight like that. I like to be mobile and get stuck in.

The SUPER CHEST (I had 2 Super chests Doc and Rogatka inside them) is a must to open and the Gold 1000au chests give good rewards if you invest your 5000 gold for several spins like I done it. Also you receive additional gold rewards and that helps you to open a 2 or 3 Super Chests. I'm not sure what the super chest costs at the moment but I probably don't have enough gold to open one. Besides, I want to get orkans, aphids and an ancile before I get anymore robots. |

I tried four of them, and won only crap. However with 1000 chest, or even 100 au chest you are getting more than you spent, IF you spend 5000+ gold. It is not magic, just Probability theory need more rolls to work it out for you. |

This is what I rolled (I started out with 1056 Au and spent $30 to buy Au for spins):
15 Gold chests (1000 Au) chests
1 Silver chest (100 Au) chest
2 Superchests
These are the prizes I have won:
Gold Chests:
Rogatka
Orkan (2x)
1000 Au (2x)
900 Au (3x)
850 Au
750 Au
700 Au (3x)
550 Au
All of this equates to a physical Au loss of 2050 Au, but if you factor the monetary value of the Orkans and Rog, which is 4900 Au, I had a net gain of 2850 Au. Will I use both Orkans? Certainly will use one of them, possibly both. Will I use the Rog? Most likely will use it from time to time; it may not end up in my final 12/12 maxed hangar but who knows.
Silver Chest:
175,000 Ag
Superchest:
4000 Au
2000 Au
So, to get these two Superchests, I had to open 15 Gold chests and 1 Silver chest. I believe it was 8 Gold chests for the first one then 7 Gold + 1 Silver for the second. Obviously I won pretty nicely. 6000 Au is a good amount, which will get me my first Fury (or maybe a second Lancelot) with some left over.
If I calculate my total Au winnings only, that would be 6000 - 2050 (the net loss from my Gold chests) = 3950 Au net gain. If I add in my non-Au winnings, that would make it 3950 Au + 175,000 Ag + Rogatka + 2x Orkan (both having total Au value of 4900 Au). In total, converted to Au, I got 8850 Au value + 175,000 Ag, all for $30 real USD out of pocket for myself (the original 1056 Au I had for my first chest got me 1000 Au, which was break even, then the second roll got me 700 Au, so a loss; this was when I spent $30 to continue the prize spinning).

I have opened chest at all levels so far the 10au chest didn't produce anything of note, the 100au chest provided a Molot MK2, a Pin some decent AG and some Au, the 1000Au chest have had the best result and get you to the super chest the quickest.
I have had 2,500Au and 3,000Au wins (all just reinvested in more spings) as well as 150k AG and 250k Ag prizes. As for non-currency items that I have won Lancelot, Zeus, Orkan, Aphid, Pin, Molot MK2 and I think that is all prize log doesn't go back that far (easy to clog up with 10Au chest).
As for my intial investment I had just under 3,000Au when I started playing with the crates and all Au wins went back into spins I finally quit spinning when I had 400Au left.
So mathmatically I'm ahead (Lance alone cost 5k and at no time during spinning did I have 5k Au)

Gepard - I have one, and dont even run that one. Worth pretty close to 0 to me.
Gekko - I dont have any. I dont plan to run any, especially when I need to fork out more gold to buy extra copies to make reasonable builds. Worth maybe 100 to me.
So total value of prizes at their values to me: 19350.
Not bad.

WOW!!!! I am so happy right now. I started the competition with 3.3k gold. Saving hard for the 5th slot. Poor impulse control led me to going back to 0 gold basically with nothing but an Aphid, an Ancile and a Gekko (yuck) to show for it.
However, I knew I had to get 1 more gold chest spin for the superchest. I was hoping I'd finally get something good.
And well. I did!
First gold spin, I got 1.5k gold.. But no superchest! I realised however I had basically been given 500 free gold and chance to do another spin. So I went for it. Second gold chest spin. 5k Gold! Superchest opened.. almost landed on an Ancile, but thankfully.. I got 3.5k gold.
I'm so buzzing right now. 10 minutes ago I had 1k gold. 5 minutes ago I had 9k gold. And just now, I unlocked my 5th slot and I just realised I have 4k gold still left so I can finally purchase my first gold weapon or bot. Wow.

Didn't get what I wanted, but no regrets, as I didn't need the gold and it was fun trying. Plus the new stuff acquired gives me the option of trying some new bot setups and hangar lineups which could be fun.
I would say the chests are great value for a relatively new player who hasn't already optimized their hangar, otherwise fun but you can't expect to win what you want.

I had saved up 3700 plus or minus . I was looking at the chests when I fat fingered the gold one . Very annoyed i just decided to spend the rest of my AU . I kept getting high low extremes but I made enough to keep on clicking gold chests . From what my prize log says I opened the gold chest 14 or 15 times and 2 or 3 super chests .
At the end of this insane coaster ride I won a Lancalot , Rogathka , 2 ancils and 1 Zeus and 4800 AU . I was saving that 3700 up for a Fury so I cooled down and grinded till i made 5000 and bought the gold bot of my dreams .
I then tried my luck on plus minus 10 sliver chests and a couple copper ones . The most significant prize i won was 40 AU . I did not really care . As far as I am concerned I won the Jackpot . I grinded for 500 Au and bought a paintjob for Rogathka . If i make a 1000 Au before the event ends I will try one more time with a gold chest .

I spent my 8k Au savings that I made over the last 5 months playing and got a return of 19k Au in gold and gear. The *worst* thing I got was a Gep, which I promptly sold. I got an Ancille, Galahad, Aphid, Gekko and a Jesse, which is worth the 8k I put in. I didn't sit on my Au winnings, I would spin Gold chests whenever I could. I plan on spending RL money to get another stack of Au before the event is over to spin another 8k Au, which should get me 2-3 more superchests. Depending how close I am to a superchest I may sit on my Au winnings in this second round of spins for the next event/Dash bots.
I am on the Aphid Task and should be able to finish that be the end of the event which will give me 4 Aphids for the Jesse.

I am kinda suffering from gamblers remorse . I spent another 1K on gold chest and was rewarded with 5000 jackpot . Instead of buying a 5th bot slot I fed it all back into the gold chest ...I ended up with a Zeus , gekko and 2 aphids .  |

This event begs the question on trading gear. I got enough through the battle winnings and dailies to spin pull another Gold chest and then a super-chest. Got another Jesse, which unless some super-combo meta shows up will be sold for scrap.

I opened 90 of the 1000g chests plus an additional 12 super chests. I am really happy with the results.
I ended up losing 8100g total over those 90 chests. Here is the loot I obtained:

I would have liked to get a butch but the chances are super low and I wouldn't spend the gold required for a butch.

This thread is like listening to people coming back from Vegas or being around them when I'm there. There's only two types I've encountered...
Those going on about how they 'won big' but they don't tell you until ages later that they actually spent at least twice what they won. This is not 'winning big'. This is losing more than half your money.
(the people posting about what they won).
The majority who simply lost it all and who just don't even speak up (the non-posters).

From another thread:
A friend of mine. His son has an IOS account so he can't play with us (android). My friend decided to buy his son an android tablet so he can start a new account and enter our squad. My friend has plenty of real life gold, so I told him it could be a good idea to spend some of his filthy euros so that his poor kid could have a couple decent bots to start with. All right he said. After playing for less than two hours his son had 1k gold. My friend bought another 6.5k. "Should be more than enough to reach the Super Chest", we thought. That would mean 9 chests: 8 1k gold ones and the Super Chest. And he would probably have at least 1k gold left to buy the fourth slot. So we start...
43 chests afterwards we decided to stop. He got lucky and got two chests of 5k gold prices and kept opening till the sixth Super Chest. I was pretty much astonished. He had more than 3k gold left: fourth slot and savings for the fifth. His hangar: three Galahads and a Doc. Can change two of the Galas for a Rogatka and a Jesse when he needs to go for beacons. Has orkans and aphids, aplenty. And two zeuses for a Carnage, his future fifth slot bot. His account was like three hours old.
An experienced player might have thought: "I just wasted my money: no Butch, not even a Lance or a Fury!". But for a beginner, this event is INCREDIBLE.
