Translation: "I didn't get what I I really hoped for and other people did, so I am expressing my disappointment " Actually, no. It sucked balls. Even if I *had* won something I could use, like an Orkan, it still would have sucked balls. If I had won a Galahad, which I really could use, it still would have sucked balls.
It sucked balls not because of the free stuff, which I like, but the event was rather pointless, other than to grind. Which they've already caused after the silver nerf. So the "event" really had no point, other than to get lucky and win something.
In the Army, we tell our soldiers not to point out things that are wrong without making a suggestion on how to improve it; otherwise it's just whining. So what would a good "event" look like?

Yeah, unfortunately, I'm not sure. I can think of a number of things, but they would probably too expensive to develop for just a 1-2 week implementation. Just grind more is not really an "event" though, is it?
In hindsight, I was probably being overly harsh. And free stuff is always good. Maybe instead of random giveaways, something achievement based. Kind of like the dailies, but with an event theme?
