Would just like to see if others are experiencing the same thing. It seems that this second round of league play, matches are starting to get cut short more often. I understand the reasoning on many levels. But in my case (Diamond l), I am constantly finding games cut short by 4, or even 5 minutes. The scoring system seems flawed in its basis on strategy if there are those if us hanging on to a 10/11 bot w/12 weapons for later on, saving the speedy guy for a final end run.
At these levels, things can change quickly. And constantly cutting games short just because a team is short 1 player (hangar), not only cuts the funding short, but also the potential for those of us that utilize a 5 bot hangar.
Jus my opinion, but I think the AI should get a little more relaxed. I've seen dozens of games in the last couple days where the game has been cut short with 4-5 minutes left, because the other team has a "strategic advantage", but we've had more bots and more pillars. I've seen it the other way too!
Does anybody see see a reasoning for the "strategic" advantage or the "occupy more territory" wins?
Its getting really frustrating for me anyways.
Thoughts?

The game should be cut short only if one beacon bar depletes completely, or if one side is all destroyed.
So what do you want to happen, actually? Make the beacon bar move more slowly at the start (I have a feeling it already does, in which case make the curve steeper)? Make the beacon bar move only for a side with 3+ beacons (but make it move much faster to keep the battle time limit in 10 minutes)? What?
Edit: sounds like you haven't noticed the beacon bar yet? Ooh! That, my fellow pilot, is the true objective of the game! Everything else is just to make the red beacon bar deplete!

Maybe it's your ping. I've noticed that my game sometimes speeds up out of nowhere. My Leo even jumped/flew while I was walking earlier. I don't know what's going on. The workshop was even in Russian instead of English.

The beacon bar does move more slowly in the beginning because there aren't many beacons capped. This doesn't last long unless someone whites a beacon and it stays that way. If this is happening in the majority of your games, be more aggressive. There is no prize for having bots left over at the end of a match.

the beacon bar recognizes the strategic advantage one team has over the other, i haven't seen any problems with it. one main thing is to have & hold more beacons, but i've also noticed the amount of remaining players also affects it. if its a match of team A with 3 players remaining and 3 beacons vs team B with 6 players and 2 beacons, it gives the 'strategic advantage' to team B.
when the game ends early and the winning team is down to 1-2 players vs 5-6 but still wins, i can usually tell you the reason is because the first team held a lot more beacons during the early part of the match. they were reckless while stealing a lot of beacons, and as such, we killed them but the beacon bar wins out every time. its a way of rewarding that reckless behavior i guess, but its more of an exception than a rule,

Sounds like you have misunderstood/not noticed the beacon bars: warrobots.wikia.com/wiki/Beacon Just read the section titled 'Dominance bar'. Sadly Pixonic never made an in-game tutorial about this so most players remain clueless for a long time. In short, your games were not cut short, you simply lost on beacons.

True it took me 300 matches to figure that out
