Lancelot or Galahad. The beacons that matter are the ones you can take or defend by force and these 2 Brit bots do that well --- and they brawl with the best if them.

The three meta bots: Ancile Taran Lancelot, Trident Fury and Orkan Aphid Griffin.
Maybe the Galahad, but it has a really big weakness.

Easy answer: Lancelot Be it with Ancile or without..
No other bot can force its way into center beacons and defend it. Of course not by simply going there and standing still in the open shooting at everything in range.. One has still to take cover and implement certain tactics and against three or more reds one needs blue support.. But all in all nothing tops the Lance for this task..

Carnage - WSP points - you can run it any which manner of ways....Long range, mid-range, knife fighter. Love the turbo and the Ancile is decent.
I got levelled by a Carney Zeus lvl 12 in <20secs!!
Best bang for buck.
....just wish my Zeus and Thunder were lvl 12!!!!

Galahad, from what I understand. Don't have one yet myself, but I will in a week. Is it wise to recommend a robot that you have never piloted?

Out of the 21 buy able robots, which robot do you guys think is best for brawling, and beacon capping Short answer: Lance. Long answer: There are two kinds of beacon cappers. The ones that are quick and specialize in capping undefended beacons. There you can use any fast robot, but this is not a good way to win a game. (Case in point: I sometikes like to switch to a changeup hangar, running only light robots with maybe a few mediums. It's a lot of fun, but I drop a few hundred points very quickly if I do this.) But if you're behind, you will have to grab some beacons, no matter what. So what you're really looking for is a robot that can conquer a beacon, not cap it. So the robot must have enough firepower to take the beacon, and it must have enough speed to travel certain distances, and it must be sturdy to withstand some fire. And that's the Lance. Griffin, Galahad and Carnage are fast and powerful, but they can't just push an enemy off a beacon. They have to pick their battles. Fury is too slow to cap beacons.

Out of the 21 buy able robots, which robot do you guys think is best for brawling, and beacon capping Interesting question. I interpret it so, that one robot has to be able to do both tasks. Hope it's the correct interpretation. Like many others in this thread, I'd have to go for Lancelot in Ancile form. Really hard to stop when it's going for a beacon, and a really brutal knife fighter. Usually double team is required to bring one down. When it comes to wsp and ag bots as per deadlysquirrel's second question, I find it a bit more complicated. To me Rhino and Thunder Carnage are the best wsp bots in those roles, albeit very different to pilot. I have both, and alter them in my hangar. They are very situational though, and therefore challenging - and rewarding, when you occasionally happen to get it right. In ag bots I feel it depends on the level of play. Up to Gold Leagues the best compromise between a capper and a brawler for me would be Boa. It's relatively fast, very agile, can use cover well, and can take and give a really heavy beating. From Diamond Leagues up Boa tends to run out of oomph, though. After that the best ag bot for both roles for me is the Griff. -Hiisi

Beacon capper = Gareth Brawling = Lancelot This.
And add Galahad for an all-around robot, in between Gareth and Lancelot.
