That video summarizes why the game is so 「fluffernutter」ed up now, and only getting less coherent and more messy by the day. As many of us have already surmised, their exclusive focus is on monetization. All their time is spent on data and analytics for revenue generation, and not fixing/rationalizing the game. Such a company can never be trusted to do right by the players, ever.

Yea, interesting, but a lot has happened since 2018. You could argue that War Robots was at the top of its popularity, steam version was just being rolled out. I think they were hoping for steam to have at least similar player figures to mobile but it didn't play out like that.
Of course with such huge popularity and further potential it was easy to talk about plans to turn game into video ads platform to unlock new revenue. Today, with there being signs of significant declines the mood at Pixonic must be different.
Looking at the latest steam figures it looks like the game has dropped to 2022 player count numbers.

In some ways, definitely. Pigsonic has doubled/tripled/quadrupled-down on their less-than-honorable (ok, outright thievery) monetization strategies.
A simple fact remains, most people who drop a wad of cash on the latest cool thing dont want it stolen, its just human nature. That is Pigsonics strategy; OP something, sell it, take it away, make players 'buy it again' in another form.
Pigsonic always has a plan to nerf the latest thingy at some point even before its even released. When its released, wait XXXX amount of time, NERF. Its part of the game life-cycle now.
