When I win the lottery I will give it a watch, until then I kinda know what it will say and definitely know the cost involved.

I'm not sure if I agree with how he does his ratings. I feel there is so much that happens on the battlefield and that every weapon has their ideal engagement situations. For example, I really don't think that ATs are that weak. I still use them a lot and yes, while the instances of getting killed due to not being able to break thru shields fast enough is rising, it just makes me pick my targets better.
I also find it strange that he still rates RGs so high. In my experience, RGs got nerfed HARD with the advent of multi layer shields. Even alter firing them doesn't work cause you have effectively 6 shots between a pair of RGs, and if your target has 5 layers of shields, then you are toast.
As for MRs, can I get some feedback on these? I'm thinking of moving my EGs to my Surge and putting something else on Seeker, or leaving the EGs on Seeker and something else on Surge. Either way, I need another CQC weapon. EGs aren't great against multi layer shields. Even alter firing them only strips 3 layers off at the most per magazine. But, against unshielded targets, they rock. How are MRs against multi layer shields? Will each rocket or pair of rockets strip a layer away or will most of the salvo get wasted on the shields because if timing? Like if the first missiles take off a layer but the second pair hits before the shield completely drops and is wasted on it?
I'm also surprised that he rated FGs so high. Granted, not nearly as high as EGs but are they worth leveling up when I already have EGs?
Cryo Launchers aren't that bad. I don't find them as good as Nades but thats because they're used a bit differently. With Nades, I can get a decent fire pattern because it fires one shot at a time. CLs fires 3 at a time, so technically while I do more damage head on, I can't get as many hits at range. They fit pretty well on an Aegis though.
SRs of course will trump MRs, but they're not available for in-game currency yet so they're off my to-do list. I kinda wish I thought about MGs before I spent all my resources getting and upgrading the CLs but it is what it is.

Regarding MR's I ran a Redeemer setup pre mods and loved the build, had good fun getting up close to unleash pain before disappearing, now mods soak up so much damage and the reload is so long I have removed the setup for other items which I am disappointed with.

I think I have a rare Mr damage implant. Storm racks are on Eclipse. It's super effective. 😜 I have NL10 on Hemlock just trying out the combination. He's a fun mech and NL is good for close to mid range. Overall I prefer burst fire weapons at mid range. Firing one weapon at a time may do better against mod shields. Something I will have to try.😉

I agree with you that while I appreciate RuFFles content I take it with a grain of salt. There’s some caveats to how he ranks things. EDIT: RuFFles is pretty aware of the meta and quick to point out what’s most competitive and what are fun builds. Some thoughts: I’m actually using Quantum Guns and having some fun. I dream that I’ll get the overheat implant someday. Had the stasis one pop up in the pilot shop for Acoins but skipped it. I think that RGs are ok if you’ve got it leveled up already and have the necessary implants. They’re just more situational than they’ve been in the past due to the mods we’re all adjusting to. Possibly better in CPC than FFA? If you’re newer to the game or a meta chaser then move right along and bypass rails. Otherwise, smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em. I believe MR are still viable, if situationally. I only recently benched my MR12 Orion and that was because I needed Neymar for a SR8 Tengu. I miss the MR12 Orion and am cheered that the pilot/implant update will allow me to take it out sometime. I refer to MRs as my blunt snipers. I actually like the MRs firing mechanic more than the SR, although that could be cause I’m so used to it. MR16 are probably pretty handy hard hitting weaps. Might pair nicely on an Onyx or Gatie. Note: I think my opinion is largely formed by the fact that I remind myself that MM’s designed to frustrate while keeping us just content enough to keep playing, irregardless of what we have in our hanger. Happy fanboys are spending too much.
