I was thinking... dangerous as that can be... the Vortex's ability should have been, well, a vortex.
Spin mode with minigun's would be hilarious.

My Vortex is sitting unused because it's just too expensive to upgrade and I'm happy with my current hangar line up. I got the Vortex and Scorpius when I had the fun thought of building a spider hangar...I guess if when they come out with one more spider mech, I'll come back to this.

Mine's unleveled as well but it's definitely on the list. I am really interested in using it as a Helix Rack and maybe mortar platform. Everyone I see using it seems to go with it as a brawler where it seems middling tbh. But hanging back and using the speed boost to relocate when targeted, seems like it would make it a real PITA to deal with.
Anyone know if it heaos itself as well or only the allies around it?

Yeah, Vortex is basically a buffed Brickhouse. TBH, I find the Vortex to be a bit of an oxymoron. It's ability on the surface is team based - yourself and nearby allies get increased damage output and decreased damage input. It also gives the Vortex a speedboost, but in that tight quarters, it can't maneuver without leaving allies behind, thereby not giving allies any benefits from the ability so really half the ability goes to waste. IDK, I think with the new Mods, the Vortex is going to be a real beast as a solo hunter
