So reading the rants, I've to see that practically all rant-able topics have been covered.
No matter at what position you are in, War Robots is probably the lowest its ever been, and it shows: From lower leveled games being "wait 2 minutes every match for the missile bots to commit seppuku" to the higher leveled trash competition, along with the all-pervasive hackers, tankers and trash matchmaking coupled with rabidly aggressive microtransactions and how New Weapons are almost certainly OP on launch and instantly redefine the meta, its not hard to see how and why so many lose hope, become toxic, or quit entirely; there really isnt much left.
I made an account to join the forum because for the briefest of periods, when I redownloaded the game, I thought maybe I could still have fun; play exactly how I'd like to, game objectives be damned, but within 3 matches it was obvious to me that it was too tedious for a pittance of fun.
But this one will be a bit different, I promise. Because in this post, I will rant about HOW I have ended up picking up the game again.
its the advertisements.
Pigsonic, My Games "Bad Value", whoever it is, they REFUSE to LEAVE ME ALONE with advertisements
I can only conclude its because I had spent money on the game, and since they cant attract new people, they must be targeting any old players via the data you have to hand over to play the game.
I can always tell when a new update has dropped, because suddenly 90% the "watch advert for reward" (remember, War Robots does this too) is some kind of War Robots ad... not that the default state of mobile ads are any better.
This must be how companies get around "1 advertisement per game" rule; I've counted at least 7 different ads during some sessions, so I assume theres at least 7 entities operating in my area, and money from War Robots to push ads at me.
I'm not sure how to feel realizing that the money i've spent is technically being returned to me, in the form of obnoxious ads, for a game I really dont want to have around. just note that War Robots has also advertised their game in those "generic crappy mobile game ad" style - if you know, you know. And to say nothing about where the money they earn from the whales goes.
So thats my rant, and the primary reason i made an account here. Be warned, simply stopping to play this game may not prevent them from trying to drag you back in.
negativity over (for now)
