I have to say, the value for this deal is great. Taking my 2-Star M.D. to 6-Stars would normally cost 8,100 A-Coins and 850,000 credits. At $14.99 that's 540 A-Coins per dollar not even counting the credits! That said, I'm not really looking to upgrade M.D. at this time (and I'd still have to spend another 1,735,000 credits to max it) so I'm going to pass for now. But if they give me this deal on my 2-Star Cheetah, I'm taking it!
I have bought a couple of the cheaper 1-Star upgrade deals. Mostly they have been for my less important mechs and gear and a few haven't had worthwhile dollars-to-A-Coins conversion rates. But a couple were 400+ A-Coins per dollar for gear I actually wanted, so they were worth it. Seems like one of the few value deals left in the game besides Battle Pass.
Quick tip, if you see a deal you're interested in, but your gear is below x.7 stars, then as long as you have the bps, it's probably worth it to spend the credits first in-game to get it up to the .7 level. I spent 20,000 credits to first take my Vortex up from 2.6 to 2.7 and it dropped the deal price by a whole dollar.
