Last week after a straight eight in a row loss streak one evening I complained to Plarium in the support feature of the game. I expressed my disappointment with matchmaking: too many made to win and made to lose matches from my perspective.
In support’s response they commiserated with me and said that the developers are always discussing how to improve matchmaking. That was my expectation so I was pretty neutral to the response. If just felt good to vent and let them know.
What has been uncanny was what’s been happening days afterwards. I’ve received legendary frag-gun damage and eclipse stealth speed implants from crates and the amount of useful epic and legendary BPs from crates have improved dramatically.
Am I full of it or are these two experiences related? I’ve always suspected that developers can/would put their finger on the scales when it serves them.
Now I’ve got to decide if my hanger needs frag guns……..

I don't think they are related. My experience is that gold and purple implants come in waves from the crates. Also, frag gun is a rare weapon and the speed implant isn't that useful or popular compared to ability cooldown, duration, or better yet, both combined.
Not to rain on any parade. Frag Gun 12 definitely has some popularity as a second close-in weapon when folks are already using EG12 on another mech. With Revolker now out, and Storm Racks as another option, I don't know if that will change, but it's not a bad pull, since FGs are super cheap to buy in-game.

I have received three gold implants in the last seven days from silver crates, albeit two are for weapons I don't own.
Talking of losing streaks yesterday I was facing some crazy OP players and got fed up, after a break from playing and a coffee I rolled my hanger back to basics and fielded early mechs and weapons with a SP of 3k for a change of pace, MM did nothing to try and match my hanger reduction and I still faced strong players with the latest and greatest OP items, i actually found the massacre funny and was botting out long before games were finishing and just run with it to see how long the losing streak would last.I stayed with it till my fourteenth loss and called it a day, my only regret was the occasional real player that got placed on my side.

I complain to them all the time. Same crap responses. Funny how with all the time and effort they supposedly spend trying to make the MM better it just gets consistently worse. They can spin it any way they want, it all boils down to one thing: frustrate players into spending money. Everything in this game is about getting players to buy stuff, and anything they spew about trying to keep it fair and balanced is just BS.

I don't think it's related...I pulled a gold Helix Rack damage implant. I almost scrapped it because I already have it, but I'm hanging on to it just in case.
I use that Report feature all the time and always get the canned responses. Recently, I complained that the Repeaters are not affected by Guardian's System Crash. I even had confirmation from someone who uses Repeaters. But they did nothing and asked me for video proof...like that is going to happen...sheesh.

The latest farce in the month long player event with DonateToMe (or EVA01 as he started out) should make any game developer or game company hang their heads in shame and set alarm bells ringing, but it probably doesn't bother them in the least. An event won by the top three all from a well known tanking clan by hundreds of thousands in points should scream big issues in regards to the whole structure of the game but I bet nothing happens, the only outcome is the whole playing community knows the game is a sham and as far away from a PvP game as can be possible. Paylarium are probably happy a one bot hanger with a couple of hundred of various currency dropped into it won as they will be hoping many others will give it a try.

EVA01 figured out how to game the system, but he still had to spend a good chunk of coin to do it. I’m sure the only thing Paylarium is fretting about is that he only spent it on one build and not five.
