So good news first. If you log into the Mech Arena Store on the Plarium website, you can get a few free items. This is available through Sunday 3/17. Now the seriously bad news. Plarium will never be doing a free implant removal weekend again. Instead they plan to "rework" the implant system. The last time they did this it was the Progress Path / Gear Hub, which we all remember took forever while you could only get new gear with ca$h money, and didn't turn out to be any kind of economic help in the end. Given their incentives to milk the current situation, I imagine this new rework will end up being pretty similar.  |

Of course, right after I post they put out an announcement in-game regarding the free items. Was wondering why they hadn't done so already. So basically all that's left is the bad news 🥺

Thanks for the info. My play time has taken a huge hit the last three weeks. AI and match making has made the game less enjoyable. Events aren’t holding my interest either. I’m basically playing a bit because I’m so heavily invested already. But I’m not interested in spending more 🤑.
Plarium’s gonna have to right this ship to change my attitude. I don’t foresee that happening considering I’m probably not their ideal customer.

I'm pretty sure their ideal customer at this point is new player with an open wallet who hasn't figured out that most of the names they are facing are actually AI. 🙄 I lowered my playing time after the nerf too. Any time they do a big change they crank up the AI and MM to encourage spending. Stepping back for a few weeks definitely makes the game more tolerable IMO. Overall my playing time is down and I'm pretty happy with that. Half of it is real world schedule but the other half is grinding for tournament is a joke now. The only ones who seem to consistently score points are tankers or high-grinding PC players. And you have to put way more points on the board to get #1 these days. I am trying to figure out how I want to go forward. I am not actually that interested in much of the new gear except Storm Rack 12, Nomad, and maybe a Pod Gun (but for fun only). And none of it will help me earn more A-Coins in tourney, so there's no need to rush. Seems like I can just mellow out and enjoy the game's decline. 🏖️🍹 |

I just stopped playing completely after finishing the last battle pass, which they LIED about again on the number of a-coins and credits I thought I was paying for. I thought they upped the bank of credits to 400k for completing all four rounds, but it’s still 200k - totally not worth it. So between that, the nerfs, and the constant screwing with the MM, I’m exponentially pissed. I’d written off acquiring anything new or paying $$$ to upgrade anything old and resolved myself to just playing a few games with what I’ve got at the levels it’s all at, but the last update took all the fun out of that, too. Maybe I’ll go reinstall some of the other mech games and see how much worse they’ve gotten over the last few years. But MA is getting a very long rest.

I've been playing a lot less too. I wanted a different kind of game so found a PvE survival game. I just play enough to get on the tournament board and get a few gold keys. And I try to get the daily rewards.

I just stopped playing completely after finishing the last battle pass, which they LIED about again on the number of a-coins and credits I thought I was paying for. I thought they upped the bank of credits to 400k for completing all four rounds, but it’s still 200k - totally not worth it. So between that, the nerfs, and the constant screwing with the MM, I’m exponentially pissed. I’d written off acquiring anything new or paying $$$ to upgrade anything old and resolved myself to just playing a few games with what I’ve got at the levels it’s all at, but the last update took all the fun out of that, too. I keep meaning to start playing Armor Attack (previously named Torn) again. I'm on their Discord server and the alpha seems to be coming along nicely. I tried it out a little very early on when testers could only play against other humans on pre-scheduled test days but now I think it is just working like a regular game.

Ehh … I tried it, it’s not doing it for me. Can’t put my finger on it. For one thing, it gives me motion sickness - that’s never a good sign for longevity. |
