So, here's a interesting chat topic. What mech, in your opinion, is the most OP AI piloted mech?
For me, it has to be Nomad. OMG, a couple of days ago, I was getting SO frustrated cause I kept running into maxed AI Nomads and they kept killing me...even chain killing a couple of my mechs when I respawned too close. This brute of a mech is literally like a bull. They shouldn't have called it Nomad. I think Rhino or Buffalo would have been a better name.
I haven't looked, but does anyone have the stats on Nomad? What is it's max HP and max damage reduction? Literally, the ONLY counter I have for Nomad in my hangar is Surge - since I don't run Guardian regularly anymore. I'm starting to think that maybe I should though, just to have a second counter to Nomad.

I've gotten in the habit of doing a 3-second countdown after they dash before firing. Eclipse Ember12 is a good counter as well.

For me, the Nomad is incredibly frustrating. Not only is the damage reduction a PITA, but it's really hard to hid with RGs. This is the one scenario where RGs on Eclipse don't work. I'm still debating if I'm going to pick up EG12 or not. The limited range thing has got me dubious about my ability to pull off ambushes. While most of my engagements with Eclipse is up close to mid range, I do occasionally indulge in some invisible sniper shots at long range under cloak. That's the reason I love the RG so much because I have so many range options.
IDK...I might go EG12 on Surge instead and then move the AT12 to Eclipse and then put the RG12 on Aegis, Redeemer or Killshot with eventual set up on Vortex.

I haven't tried EG12 on Surge yet. I enjoy it on Eclipse too much to switch and am still deepening my feel for how to play it. You can die quick since it's an up-close weapon, but you can also really go on a tear with it. It is best to stick to the margins and cover, or plot ambushes for sure, and is less ideal for big open maps. But you do build a rhythm for popping in and out of cover to nail reds with your shots. FYI you could consider running a Surge RG12 too.
In terms of AI, I think I will vote Storm Racks as most OP AI weapon. They are built to fire in a general area, yet I feel like the AI bullseyes me with every single rocket even when they are firing from halfway across the map. Given how many rockets it spits out, it is getting annoying trying to dodge. I'm sure when I finally get mine levelled, I will find it only really hits at close-to-mid-range.

A counter might be Zephyr if you can lure AI dashers in range of his ability. Guardian also. I played 2v2 today awhile and Zephyrs were a problem with AI or humans.

Ability cooldown time is reduced by 50% today, so that's definitely favoring Zeph. EMR Orions have been dominating FFA for the same reason.

I've put my Guardian back into my main hangar because in large part the Nomad. I'll swap KS with Aegis or Redeemer for FFA and some TTDM maps but I think my Guardian has made a come back. That ability cooldown by 50% thing makes Guardian super powerful in a brawl. I used to run Guardian with both the System Crash range and width implants but have had to drop the width implant because Maverick can only hold 3 implants.
On second thought...
Maverick is currently holding purple RG damage decently leveled and gold System Crash range decently leveled. I have a purple RG range implant that I've never upgraded. Maybe I should take that out since I want to rebuild my Guardian to as close to it's former glory as possible and put the purple System Crash width implant back. Hm..... I use Guardian more as a brawler and area holder, so the RG range has never been an issue while the width implant does come in handy in brawls.
