Another playoff event opportunity to win Storm Rack gold implants. This time you have two chances to win the damage and more importantly reload implants, which is the one that brings all the boys to the yard. And it mainly is a get A-Coins / spend A-Coins & credits event! Only lasts 2.5 more days though. Not really sure when will be best to get in the leaderboard with a short event like this. There are tasks for upgrades and winning matches, so watch those. But since it is the start of the week, there's no need to grind tournament, especially if you're skipping the first day. Thanks! But I really don't have the time to grind these things! Thankfully, I've been pretty happy with my gear. I'm slowly leveling my Vortex and Scorpius and am just considering what my next weapon investment will be. I had thought Ember Gun but that's too limiting since I don't even have any decent purple implants for it. Storm Racks are far and beyond my radar.

I had thought Ember Gun but that's too limiting since I don't even have any decent purple implants for it. Storm Racks are far and beyond my radar. Well, just to reiterate, this isn't a grind event. It's spend credits, spend A-Coins (at a full 1:1 ratio which is rare) and get A-Coins (if you have any saved in your inbox or mech achievements), as well as upgrades. Also, because it is only during the beginning of the week, tournament grinders won't be able to earn enough A-Coins for a big advantage over non-grinders. I've held off on a few final weapon upgrades and saved my credits for this type event, plus I have some achievements I can cash in for A-Coins, so fingers crossed. I actually won the reload implant already from another PE, so if I can snag a damage implant I'll be all set. My SR12 isn't doubled yet so I haven't played it. Frankly I am going off Mayer's old Tengu SR8 video, and Mayer makes everything look good. But still, it does seem like SRs could be a solid close-in and mid-range weapon IF you can get a gold reload implant. The purple one won't be quite quick enough for a CQC brawler, but it still looks like it'll be good overall. |

Welp, looks like I was wrong. I didn't think about how a "get 200 A-Coins" task meant people could just buy their way to the top. Got on the leaderboard last night and everyone was already at 20,000+ pts. Oh well, hope you guys have more luck than me. At least I finally cashed out my Achievements. I had 30 I had been saving and it was bugging me to keep waiting to use them.

I brought my Vortex up one rank just to clear the bar. I had about 3k points and needed 11k to get on the leaderboard...not a chance! lol

 Ended in third. Jumped on the leaderboards in the last five minutes. Had to use about 3,500 A-Coins and over a million credits to get there. Better than paying for the implant though. Now I need to ask myself if I build a SR or EG Tengu. Or a SR Orion? |
