When something needs nerfs this bad, it has nothing to do with balance and everything to do with sales growth plateauing.
But I tell us all nothing we don’t already know.

I don't think we've seen the last of the rust weapons yet. Also, these nerfs will make Curie into the top dog.

Good to see some long forgotten weapons get a little love, maybe I'll continue working on this little guy Though i doubt this buff will mean anything in this mess game has found itself in lol

I've just tested the new Shenlou on the test server - first time I've been able to get on in weeks.
Holy 「dookie」. It basically is a scorpion with better weapons, that can teleport 3 times. 「whiskey tango foxtrot」? I'm trying to work out how all this will fit together.

So instead of running 3 x rust and 1 x DOT weapons for example, we are going to swap it around for 3 x DOT and 1 x Rust since the DOT is no longer capped?

I still have one on my phantom. can't take it off cause it's in my avatar and yeah 乃ㄥ卂乙 , I've got a few of those too

Would never defend the existence of these OP BOTs but it is INSANE to see 50% nerfs to these things. These PIX guys waking up and figuring out these things are 2x too powerful. Just emphasizes the rot in this game.

It's comical, they need to wait for the "data" to be collected and analysed before making a move but in reality, they know and we know the day after release or even at the test server stage.

I can swear seeing the Dot weapons on the test server outperforming the rust ones and I was sure they would be the ones to get.

I've gone back to trying the original rust weapons, Jaw,Talon, and Claw. They take so long to fire all of their ammunition that you can make a coffee while the fire button is held down. That is, the rate of firing is unbelievably slow and either needs to be increased or the weapons demoted to purple (T3).

My thoughts overall:
Ochokochi: This honestly doesn't change that much, it will still be incredibly powerful though slightly easier to kill, and the damage decrease on the charge is notable though no change is mentioned about the knockback power so it will still be launching people off maps.
Ophion: Honestly not the approach I expected, basically neutering the built in weapon and a little chunk of hp removed, though I suspect we will see more in future, Pixonic never leaves flying bots alone until they are truly dead and removed from higher level play, Obviously I'm not a fan but this was inevitable and expected.
Orochi: Still useless, meaningless buff, if it got a significant cooldown buff or ability duration increase maybe it could regain some relevance though as it stands Lynx still makes a mockery of it.
Revenant: A notable and useful buff, will make them a bit more interesting to play for those who enjoy them.
Damper and Tamer: A shock to no one, 30% is quite fair and I expect these weapons to still be popular.
Deceiver and Trickster: A welcome change, these weapons were either just pretty ok if you ran just 1 with rusts or useless if you used more because of the dot cap and nonexistent base damage, removing that cap makes these MUCH stronger and will deal incredibly high amounts of dot with multiples even if the nerf is to the dot accumulation, if the nerf is to the base damage that changes literally nothing and they will be just that much stronger, I expect to see a lot more of these and more DOT focused builds instead of it simply being an optional add on weapon with rusts.
Chimera: Ok trolling builds get slightly better I guess.
Marquess, Hussar, and Dragoon: This makes these weapons a lot more viable and it will be interesting to see people experimenting with these, even if they won't suddenly become meta.
Shredder: Better accuracy which is cool though they will still underperform on damage.
Also just going to link this here, Aygir did a comparison between Damper and Hussar following these changes, Damper is still better though Hussar is definitely looking a lot better than it ever has.

As usual, Pixonic is overcorrecting their own mistakes for the sake of cash and hiding it under the guise of a rebalance. We just cannot have decent, balanced bots (like Seraph after its first nerf), we have to have things be broken or useless…

We just cannot have decent, balanced bots (like Seraph after its first nerf), we have to have things be broken or useless… I think it is a bit too generous to call any of the imbalances “mistakes”. They launched the game almost 10 years ago and looking at all the recent release it seems they come out more OP than ever. They know full well that they are dropping game breaking cash cows before anything gets close to the test server and then, exactly as you say, they look at monetisation and “rebalance” when the revenue dashboard tells them it is time to shake things up.

Likely these nerfs are tip of iceberg. Even dropping its drone damage to zero would still make this robot incredibly overpowered.

Yes, the problem being their new stuff wasn't selling so well. As others have mentioned in many threads, Putonic overpower weapons/bots on launch so that people will spend to acquire them. It is only when the next new thing needs a sales boost does the old thing get a nerf. Game balance is ignored for new robots and weapons.

I dont recall seeing 50% nerfs before. It speaks to how much they are are overpowering items to sell. The whole OP/ nerf system this game has been going for years is one of the main issues. Most games.... Nerfs are rare. This game has created a whole culture around it as evidenced by the cries for nerfs you see from players shortly after release.... When we know it was unbalanced cuz there is a test server. So somehow we buy it knowing they will gut it... Pixo started and discovered how to use nerfs as a monetizing method. I cant think of any other game that does it like pixo does.

Goes to show how awesome the game can get when the devs make a balanced anything.

When Pigsonic says its doing a rebalance, it has nothing to do with the game itself.
Its a rebalance of their revenue stream. Nothing less, nothing more.
