Well.... here it is, I just spent a solid 7 straight hours piecing together this video from the perspectives of Lt. Colonel Stark, FRΞΞDØM☆F1GHTΞR and myself. In this video I was finally able to get squad mates to record the action from their perspective in order for me to piece it all together into one amazing and never done before video! This is a whole new perspective to watching a War Robots match unfold as 3 members from the Unofficial War Robots Forum band together and conquer all odds using voice comms in a come from behind victory! The premise is so good I already gave you a like before watching this. If you ever go to 6 perspectives, I'm going to throw this on my tv to watch.
Edit: I feel a little cheated, I was fully expecting halo style split screen. But damn, it's so awesome with the triple kill cams on one red bot, lol. How the hell did Stark's Leo survive so freaking long?

I have always wanted to do this but couldn't ever find anyone to take interest. Yesterday, however, FRΞΞDØM☆F1GHTΞR brought up the question if it could be done and of course you know what my response was. Stark also was on Discord and we both had things to do but Freedom convinced us (didn't take much) to run at least one trial run match to see how things would work. Well, that match turned out to be an awesome victory so here it is. When I finally got Freedom's angle of the match I sat down tonight and busted through it for nearly 7 straight hrs in order to make it into a reality. I'm excited to try 6 perspectives but 3 was A LOT of work! |

I was thinking about that as I was struggling to decide what to cut and what to keep during the times where action was happening for all three of us. Split screen would allow the viewer to watch everything happen at once, but wouldn't necessarily focus on any certain point. I'll stick to NEVER settling on an easy split screen video. |

Split screen would be cool if used momentarily. Like, if two players were working a flanking maneuver.
But not for the whole thing. That would make my head hurt.

I've settled on the Mobizen Screen Recorder cakeordeath after a looong period of using AZ Screen Recorder and trying out several others briefly here and there. FRΞΞDØM☆F1GHTΞR that is a great idea! For certain moments it could work pretty well! Like you said, only for brief moments though. Awesome ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48 we'll definitely get you in there! And shaolinrogue yea you JUST missed it too! I even mentioned in the discord chat that you'd probably down, we need you! |

A setup like in Aliens, in the command vehicle.
So 6 man squad all live streaming & recording. A 7th "overwatch" commander co-ordinating everything & watching all 6 live streams tiled on a PC monitor, also recording that. Edit the video so it is the 6 player screen with the indiviual tiles zooming in/out to full screen/split/quad...depending on how the action unfolds. It's a lot of editing but we could probably split the work up.

Well his connection speed is extremely slow....for a reference. I had to wait for the following day to get his video portion because he had to upload it overnight when he was sleeping. I think the live streams generally do save if you want to. Also, oh yea shaolinrogue I forgot about the 7th "Commander" idea you mentioned once! I didn't totally forget, but I forgot how you were saying that live stream could make it work. I vote you as commander because when on voice comms you're definitely great at directing traffic and calling out bots. |

Hahaha... Sounds cool. Reminds me of my airsoft training days, when a squad of four advancing on the field, while a squad leader directs their movement from a "control room" with a handy talkie and a map based on the squad's report of the ongoing situation. Damn I miss those thrilling days  |

I do actually have one of these from an old job. My setup is in the attic & it's cold in the winter so sometimes I wear it. My wife saw me wearing this & a black toque with my headset on & told me I was getting a little too into the game  |

Our military are first class soldiers but we tend to rock vintage equipment (Note the commodore 64's in the picture...true story I promise) & need to hitch a ride to battle sometimes |
