Hey all, just want to ask what you guys would recommend for an ultimate mender build. I am currently using the ultimate edition igniter and blaze on it. I have Marie pilot and using 1 repair, 1 immune, and 1 nuclear amp mainly because those are the only other modules I have that are leveled. I've been trying out different drones, but haven't decided which one I like on it yet. I am using unstable conduit as well.
I am thinking of switching the flamethrowers out for something else because getting into 350m range means I'm going to be dying pretty quickly. Most of my deaths are from ochokochis. They see a UE bot and instantly switches targets on goes after me. So I am considering switching the flames to my own ochokochi and perhaps use a longer range weapon since mender is support bot afterall. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Lucky you!
For the build check out the youtubers. SE Flamers are claimed to be OP. Mender and Marie has to be the best combo. Sorry but haven’t got one so cant really comment further.
PS: how did you get it and what should be a reasonable budget estimate for getting one?

I'd be looking for a mid-range weapon option for a Mender, unless you've got a ton of powercells and like dancing close. I like to pick a tanky blue and just stick to them (provided they're pushing). A combo greater than the sum of its parts.

I wasn't actually trying to get it, was opening red data pads for shatter and splinter so that was a nice bonus. I got a UE igniter and a blaze from the gold data pad. Those ones required you to open 80 red data pads each. And then second blaze from I think it was blue data pads also leaderboard rewards. Once you get 2 blaze and an igniter, the ultimate mender is free as the reward for completing the two tasks. You don't need to complete it in order so even if you get a UE igniter first, when you get the two UE blazes, the igniter task will auto complete and give you the UE mender. I think the cost of getting that flame mender setup is cheaper than one UE orkan. I remember wanting them and decided it was ridiculously overpriced to even try.

This seems like a nice humble brag thread. I'd love the UE Mender as I have 2 normal ones that I rotate into my hangar.
I think 500m blast weapons are good like Scald, Ksiphos, Splinter and even Cudgel. I tend to use a paralysis drone to lock down enemies before they can get too close or Armadillo for the def points if going for beacons.
The modules are the same ones I use. The immune amp is great for Mender as you can keep gaining extra health and heal it all back with Marie Chocolate Eclair. Sometimes I'll chuck on a nitro unit instead of nuclear amp to sacrifice damage for more speed.

Sometimes I'll chuck on a nitro unit instead of nuclear amp to sacrifice damage for more speed. Definitely wasn't my intention to brag. It's a cool bot, but I don't think it really gives much of an edge over the other stuff out there. Genuinely want some opinions on what to put on it. Honestly speaking, I get more out of my labrys ophion, but don't enjoy playing it that much so I switched it out for this mender. I've always liked mender design but never used it because I felt like the heal wasn't healing enough and even with the ultimate edition, I still think the heal could've been better. I would've settled happily for higher healing in exchange for lower damage. I was using paralysis drone, but people were saying you have the flames which has slowdown so don't need it, but with 350m, I'm going to be getting into some sticky situations. So far, it's gone a bit better dropping it late game and supporting titans vs dropping as first bot but that is mainly because of the ochokochi problem. Like if I don't also use mine own ocho and charge up my modules, it becomes really hard to kill an enemy ocho once their modules are all charged up, but eventually it's going to get nerfed and I don't think ultimate edition stuff gets nerfed do they? Or maybe it won't matter since Pix will just make newer stuff that much stronger lol. I think going for a longer range setup will be better since it is a support bot after all so might go with the ksiphos and labrys setup. I was interested in the bendy bullets too, but never used them and heard that their damage is pretty bad. For drones, currently considering beak and possibly whiteout. Hmm nitro unit...I'll have to try that out.

I don't think any of the UE bots are going to be top meta but just a bit of fun and nostalgia for players that love them. I won a UE Spectre but I won't even level it, it's got no chance against current bots with its piddly health pool.
The mender can survive the the whole game if played smart and with a little luck and the UE version seems to have a few extra tricks up its sleeve.
I've noticed that it does not seem to lose weapons, even at very low health. This might be for all UE bots? My menders lose weapons left right and centre when below half health

PS: how did you get it and what should be a reasonable budget estimate for getting one? I’ve moved back to low-spender status and the deals do get better. I got a uBlaze and uIgniter for $28/ea. There were deals at 11.99 (got 2/ea) and 3.99 (got 1/ea) that got almost exactly the number of each. This left 1-2k to grind in wins. That would have exceeded my normal monthly “budget” ($40-50), but not enough to bring up my 3-month average. Of course, once you spend, prices go right back up, so hopefully I get back to cheap deals before the next opportunity. Hey, maybe one will appear in an Extermination prize like the uPulsar.

Flames should be great, I frequently run them on my reg Mender when I rotate it into play. And having slowdown effect…oooooh baby. Support bots NEED some teammates to be useful. Tag along with (well, behind lol) tanks and/or titans.

I'd totally move the hurricanes over to a UE spectre if I had one for the extra damage when using the jump hahaha.

Yeah, prices going up with spending is a sure thing. Interestingly, I used to be F2P but now after my return I spend a bit because I cant be bothered grinding but want to try gear that i havent got. Seems like after a player spends, the offer return to best value in about 2 weeks. I track it on my old Champions League account (dont play it or spend with it). When my baby account and old Champions League account have the same offer values than i consider spending. Will also time the low offer's appearance with end of the event so the deals will be the best. Than maybe a UE mender.

Its nostalgia and the EU bots are like a tier below the meta of the time. What hurts the mender is that there arnt any suitable weapons for it at the moment (cant comment about UE weapons). It just doesnt do enough damage and needs to be at range. Shotguns were good previously before they got nerfed and before pix did the drone/microchip rip off rework.

That's how I'm feeling with the UE bot right now. UE weapons are great, but mender doesn't have all the gimmicks that other bots have to make the most out of the weapons imo. How about radiation weapons like hazard and blight? I'm a returning player so there's a lot of weapons I haven't used before, but one mid range weapon I recalled that actually hit me quite hard were those, but with 1 med and 2 light slots, probably not much damage anyway. A setup with 2 magnetars and a pulsar also seems like an okay option too. What do you think?

A setup with 2 magnetars and a pulsar also seems like an okay option too. What do you think? I tried that. Not enough damage with hazard and blight IMO. If a typhoon hits you with 4 hazards that’s different. Tried bendy bullet machineguns but they aren’t very good either. Labrys and co cant get through shields. Scourge and co may do good damage close but lock on....and a brawling mender needs something more. Haven’t tried needle and spike but that would take the situation back to the brawling issue while being outgunned and lacking gimmicks. My other consideration for the mender would be the roulette mothership since you can put two health extenders on it. Don’t have that either and cant even get components for it as far as I know. Cant comment on the magnetars and pulsar combo. Actually slowly building that now. I don’t think it is possible to build a meta mender unless there are new weapons and the roulette. Whatever weapons are used they need to charge the mothership fast because the roulette should be a key component IMO.

At the end of the day, limited firepower is what keeps Mender limited to a support roll. All well & good that, played well, it can last an entire match. BUT, with 2x lights and 1 medium, it’s your healing “damage” credit that can put in top 3, not direct damage.
Now, if they bumped the center slot to a heavy, or went 3 mediums…well THAT would be more Ultimate.
