Recently I've been looking for a retro tournament group to join, but I haven't seen any that were available for my platform (PC). I've decided to start a retro tournament for those looking to relive the past metas. The first tournament will take place in the late 2019 to early 2020 time period. I don't have any official rules up yet, just the stat sheet of allowed robots and weapons. Feel free to ask any questions if you'd like to participate. I'm also down for some retro practices/1v1s. If you're not on PC but do know someone that is...maybe mention it to them so I have more than 12 people participating.

Hey GhathnThis sounds really good to me. On PC, I've not been able to join in on 6Pack activities (or SAGE), and I've hoped somebody might set something like this up. Good on you for doing it. I'll look into it. |

gus169 Glad to hear that it's interested you. If you have any gear that's a little over leveled, it's still fine to use in the tourney. Any ideas on what you want to run for it? I'm running my personal favorite Hades, so I'd guess you'd probably be running Phantom.

I'm running my personal favorite Hades, so I'd guess you'd probably be running Phantom. My Phantom won't fit under your level cap, it's 1.11, but I've got lots of stuff that will. Dusty old war heroes that need some exercise. I can tell you I'll definitely have a Lancelot in there. Scanning my inventory, I'm thinking a Bulgasari and a Hades too probably. And I still bring the old 1.9 Griffin out to play on Spacetech tasks anyway. It's like driving a Buick on a motorcross track, but the kills so sweet, it can rot your teeth. |

Best of luck to you all. It is a shame that Pixonic never fully implemented cross-platform play, as it means, among other things, the small PC player base misses out on the fun of these fan organizations. So, I hope this works out!

This whole retro thing here may not even be necessary Community post from pixonic 2 months ago: "Speaking of upcoming updates, we keep working on the long-promised cross-platform features. Next on our list are multi-platform squads and custom matches. We approach infrastructural features with great caution to ensure smooth performance of the core mechanics of the game. So merging squads and custom matches will still take us some. But we do plan on releasing them in 2023."

Adazahi I don't know If I even believe them at this point. They've said they've been working on a platform merge for so long that unless they announce it officially, I wouldn't bet on it coming out. And even if they do merge platforms, the retro tournament I'm starting can still be around. It's a more casual competition. From what I've heard about the SAGE Retro stuff it's for rewards or something like that.

The sage tournaments only very recently had rewards approved, and the rewards are only going to be given out for a couple of months. It’s always been casual, though I think a new league with T4 gear included would be pretty novel! The main issues that come along with it though are something we discussed during todays ninjitsu. They had been considering the creation of something similar to your idea, featuring ares/phantom/other balanced T4 gear. The main thing you’re going to need to overcome is the barrier for entry. T4 gear is quite expensive, so getting players to build up a legal hangar may be tough. But I wish you luck nonetheless. |

I think the '2019-20' dates refer to the 'era' of bots that are acceptable in this tourney. Please correct me if I'm wrong there GhathnAnd yeah, the platform merge hasn't been fully implemented yet. PC players are still unable to join iOS or android clans, or even send invites. This is the only reason I'm not a dedicated 6packer, or even a casual in Sage. |

Very tempting. All my favorite bots are on the list, including Tyr, Ao Guang, Mender and of course strider.
I might have leveled some of mine past level 9, though.

easystrider It's OK if some of the gear is over leveled. I'm just hoping people don't show up with full Mk3 hangars.
