Hello............................
Uh, is this thing on?
Anyways, played for a bit back when the game first released and the craziest mech was one that could jump.
Quit the game when everything could jump-hover-invis and the weapons roasted my mechs (mainly Zeus and Inquisitor bs)
Came back a month ago, just before The Chaos was Unleashed. Probably going to reduce my time playing until the game feels fun again (haha).
Couple of games out there I would recommend:
1. B.o.T. - Hasn't been touched and it's somewhat pay to win but I'm impressed by its feel.
2. Crossout - Wasteland apocolypse style car/mech builder. Somewhat pay to win but its match making balances it out by basing it on vehicle power level so "tanking" doesn't exist. If you have a PL of 5000 you get matched with similar PL (give or take 500PL). Has both mobile and PC versions, completely separate from what I can tell though it might be cross-platform? (I think you face bots most of the time until you get to maybe 6200+).
3. Arena Breakout - for my FPS lovers, mobile version of EFT (Escape from Tarkov) but different company. Feels legit. Paying to win does not mean you will survive (I think being in a squad VASTLY improves your chances of survival).
4. Mini-Metro - Mobile puzzle game to reduce stress between matches. Very satisfying subway manager game.
I genuinely wish there was a threshold that tags your account in War Robots based on money spent on the game with ascending tiers. I believe that it would make it feel better for new and returning players to get a feel for the game and be matched with reasonable teammates and opponents as they spend more money or simply grind the game out properly.
USD for example: $1 - $500 / $501 - $999 / $1,000 - $2,499 / $2,500 - $4,999 / $5,000+, etc...
The queue times alone would make it so that whales would either get bored and quit or simply not whale out as much when they buy a new account. Or they would enjoy spending wars against other whales in their own little cesspool of mech-「grape」.
Might add later, dunno.
