Currently for me it's AT 12s with a 20% damage boost, like these babies don't already smack hard as it is !!.
Now I don't own this weapon but of course there is a nice deal in the shop for me to purchase the weapon if I do desired (which I don't #walletstayingshut).
Be interesting to know if others are seeing the same deal or will it target items you don't own in the hope you buy to try.
As I don't own the weapon I don't know if it costs to use this modifier but I can't see Paylarium missing out on a chance to fleece us even more.

My AT12 is maxed and I decided to try a frontal assault on a full HP Bastion before it's shield went up. Keep in mind, when attacking Bastions, I usually circle to the side or back and have never successfully killed a Bastion from the front before the EMP wears off. But, I figured, why not today to see if 20% buff helps?
TLDR, I got the Bastion to a sliver before the EMP wore off and it's shield went up and I died...

I got the same modifier and shop deal, for the low, low price of only $22.99, or $28.99 to include the implant crap. I’ll tell you what - for the low, low price of absolutely free, they can kiss my ***. Who dreams up this ****.

So it's free??? That's not going to last. I'm guessing they are trying to tempt whales into paying for implant removals by boosting various weapons. AT12s actually could use a boost for endgame, didn't notice much of a difference yet but I only played a couple of games.

This is a terrible mechanic. They've basically implemented a way to temporarily upset the meta across all levels of play without enacting a nerf/buff cycle like War Robots.
Why is that worse? -Any and all changes will be temporary -The AI can adjust accordingly, instantly -Accelerating the diminishing returns on investment for owning and upgrading items
They will probably nerf/buff items based on how many players actually use them/how effective the weapon becomes by the same data metrics they've been using to butcher the game up to this point.
There's no reason to play this game with any more vigor than casual, but every mechanic in game prevents players from playing casually. There's no competitiveness in the game, and this random bull「dookie」 shatters any last bits of illusion of competitiveness.

I think they’re just pushing for more sales and/or upgrades of advanced weapons, at least for now. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they decide to put some kind of a price on them at some point, whether it’s game currency, cash, or both. I don’t care, I’m not biting.

From what I remember, they gave out a bunch of free boosters in War Robots at first and waited for everyone to run out and start spending. Mech Arena seems committed to a general "War Robots but better" direction which they do seem to pull off. So we can all be sure that the real money costs are coming, just not until everyone gets used to it. But this does seem like a better overall mechanism than War Robots boosters, which lasted just a few matches and always applied just to one player, never everyone.
But team matches aren't big enough a thing yet, that many folks would go hog-wild on buying these. They're actually in decline right now b\c high spenders are so pissed about the implant discount. And sooner or later, everyone realizes that AI is the determining factor in winning 1v1. New players might fall for this for a while, but if they want this to take off, they'll have to fix the stuff holding back HvH.
