Skyros: — When capturing a beacon, you can stand right in the middle, you don’t get Newton boosted higher than capture height. — A maxed Theseus Skyros can withstand a few blasts of Newton Any bot: — When you are holding CB at Yamantau make sure you actively, continually push against one of the walls. If you do this, Newton can’t raise you high enough to get you over the wall. It works with Skyros and I assume other bots as well. Rook: — I just found this out today: With legendary Bubble weapons equipped, I barely shoved my nose into the home-facing tunnel on Moon. This may have been enough to prevent me from being levitated, but!, when I hit the flying ability I actually shoved my way into the tunnel and under the beacon. Whoa. I I didn’t try to get out as it was late in the match and I was trying to hold the beacon down. Loki: — If Newton doesn’t have QS he can’t do jack or poop to you. Eat this Whale Boy! meetjoeblack . Lynx is an absolute pain in the 「bum-bum」 to a Newton. Same with Nether. The forcefield and phase shift keeps it alive way longer than other bots. Also, Ravana is a good counter.

Indra’s phase ability doesn’t negate being launched into the air whether it is activated before or during Newton’s ability. Does Ravana‘s ability negate this?

Indra only has 2 phase shift charges & currently doesn’t outlast Newton’s ability. Either way, Ravana’s ability isn’t a true counter. I haven’t seen what happens to Angler but I assume it will resemble the Challenger Shuttle disaster.

Angler can last longer though.

I just ran into two Newtons on Castle with my Weber Ravana. I found that I was able to get myself stuck against one of the pillars by D for a bit.

I should have been more clear. I got levitated with about 4:52 in the match. You can see where the underside of the ridge caught me.

Confirmed: Just being against the wall won’t cut it, you have to be rolling/pushing against it to “create friction” to keep from getting too much height.

Here's a good defense. Press power button. Swipe up. Restart game or do something else. Works every time.

Usually it does just delay inevitable death by a couple seconds, but on the Lynx it matches well with the short cooldown. However I prefer to run healing on mine, because otherwise I die too quickly. I don't understand how people can use phase shift and still heal like crazy while in a Lynx.

That’s why I use a Glider instead of Adv Healing.

Only good counters are pimped out Rook, other newton and reaper crysis. They can take newton out. The moment you have more than 1 Newton, nothing applies.

Omg. You already discovered this kind of defense vs Newton. Too bad I didn't see this, I could show this spot in my video 😞. Did You try to use Your ability while You were stuck. Somehow it looks like that can negate Choke ability. I've shown that with Nether in beginning of my video on Rome map and with Lynx on Abyss map in the end of my video

Unfortunately, I also haven't found myself on that side of Castle since that game, either.

He always blinded me but with phase shift he couldn't do that, proof: P.S and now I will keep phase shift as an active module because of Newton

Yes You died but You occupied 3 Newton robots for such long period. That was actually amazing. And You drove them crazy. All of them were focused on You, You know like when Skyros comes in red home spawn. Whole blue team stick to Skyros like he is glue and in meantime other reds can cap beacons

That was the idea. I invested heavily in Ravanas in 9.2 to prep for this mess.

Oh, duh, but some simple additions: Basically keep a roof over your head! Like: —the Clamshell hidey single lonely beacon on Crash site — sort of any interior area on Crash site — CB on Valley, you can stay on the beacon and just barely be under a roof — CB (bridge) on Castle — CB on Moon, upper and lower — Carrier lower decks — CB on Canyon — Springfield, that one home beacon with the covered bit — Abyss, that tunnel between the pair of beacons (A and B) ALSO, try standing beside something quite tall. Like: — Defending your outer home beacon on Carrier, the superstructure is so tall that even if you get levitated he may not have a shot on you. (It happened to me.) — There might be a couple of rocky structures on Canyon that are tall enough — There’s lots of tall places on Valley; the center building and the hiding areas opposite the building — I think a couple of the building on castle are tall enough meetjoeblack’s Stick your pokey weapons into a Roman building and they will keep you grounded!

ok, I just gotta put this up here, despite everything. I was just on Yam, Dom, and I spawn my Kid. I see a blue Noot'n just sitting at our base, a single red holding CB, so I go stomping straight down the uncovered bridge, toasting up the red Lucha I knew was below me and cursing the nob in the Newt. A friendly Khep on the bridge hooked me up and I turned down the ramp to center at speed. The red there turned out to be another Lucha, who stepped out and jumped at me. Because of the incline, there was no way he was going to clear me, and I thought "bugger, I'm not gonna get there". But just before he hit the ground, whoop, up he goes. That camping blue flufftard hoiked him up (and presumably executed him) as I continued walking down to take the bacon. I don't despise him any less, but he made me laugh, and that's not nothing.
