Before, changing a low ranking pilot’s skill, as a random roll would cost 75-100 gold.
Now it costs 200 Memorium. So, I go to Resources and check out the deals. BEST DEAL - 4k/$39.99
Imagine if you wanted to retrain a rank Major pilot…or get your dream Basil Lapointe up to Major for your Behemoth or Sylvia for Angler.
Before it was just a pile of relatively cheap gold. Now, it’s paid for my flesh closer to our hearts. (Yes, I’m being dramatic.)

Yeah, they screw with everything. How about this one, I ran out of pcs, and clicked the thingy to allow gold to purchase, cuz I love shieldbreaker and donât mind spending a few gold as I only play a few matches a dayâ¦..then I noticed somethingâ¦..it cost 300 「fluffernutter」ing gold to activate a pc one time. Ive been thoroughly enjoying Battle of Titans lately, so as soon as I saw that I closed app and went back to BoT. If they can find a way to short change the player and squeeze more out, they will, and they do

Pix sometimes always shoots themselves in the foot with this sort of thing. I would have way more upgraded drones in my hangar to mess with and "try this and that" but drones are so expensive to upgrade my feeling is "Nah!"
So now with pilots... "Nah!"

More incentive to build the old school tourney hangar too I enjoyed it the first time around then got pissed off due to the MM and bagged it since ~Dec 22. Trying it and am enjoying it this time around. I'm skeptical that it'll have any meaningful staying power, but it's fun for now.

I somewhat feel same with BoT. Its a lot of fun, but the dev has stopped working on it and just lets it keep rolling, player base is very small, same names over and over again and lots of A.I. filler, and only two maps. So, after a good binge, I need to switch to something else for a while |

The company's greed has extended too far for me continue. Over the last few patches all I see is a way to squeeze money from players instead of making the game more fun.
I don't see a future for me in this outlandish Play To Play environment.

Dont chase the meta if you are not willing to pay for a lease of power. Play the game in another way. If that doesnt work for you than walking away is a good option. This is a game for spenders. |

The sad fact is, us veterans, sometimes forget what it’s like to just start this beautiful game.
TL;DR
But given the completely drastic changes to this economy, will contribute to the bottom up pressure, and destroy the F2P players. Whales are still gonna Whale. However, we will now see even fewer F2Ps in Exp-Masters.. Many will quit, as there is no point in grinding anymore, there is no pay off. $7 (USD) for an MK2 bot w sometimes 4 weap slots and 4 MK2 weaps?!? No, grinding even to take it naturally to MK2? Why would you Play dozens or 100s matches to get the needed Ag? It’s cheaper than a fast food drive-through. Just press the button.
Well, most of the “ updates” have never been good for the player base, and everybody says it all the time, but this HAS to be one of the WORST of all time. No highly leveled pilots for bots for the F2P. Pilots for Titans? Forget it. Retraining an older pilot? A waste of resources. Workshop? It’s for suckers.
The only benefit I can tell is is that it will put the squeeze to the ankle biters in Experts and Masters, who can’t play the game, or only played a few hundred/1k matches, but with all MK3 gear.

Sorry 079 and Poopface , I'm so used to the quick Ag and Au instead of typing out Silver and Gold. Plus as time goes by, Pix keeps changing stuff (like Jesse going from IP, to Au to Ag) and things staying in the game for obsolete reasons like stuff starting at higher than L1, like Nashorns, Anciles, Natashas and Pinatas which was put in to help auto-balance the hangar based MM. |
