I run mine from time to time, its still alot of fun, especially now with range and all. Personally I have mine kitted out with 3 maxed BUs, gives you support and damage. Pilot would be Alex Werner, but Basil Lapatte is good too. Drone I think would Kestrel, but Beak would also be a great suggestion. The resident jaeger maestro would be 079, jaeger is his golden goose and he is a genius with setups. Helped me a ton few yrs back when I went to him for advice, took my game to a new level. Looks super clean if you had the solid gauss on them. I run my solid jaeger with solid gauss, and have a regular jaeger setup with stellar prismas. best of luck, hope that helps.

Well, munkeeee gave me my introduction already, so I'll just cut to the chase!
I think that is a very solid setup, and you should get results if you play it well. In terms of suggestions, I would definitely change the pilot if the gold balance permits. Since you are running Gauss, I would say Alex Werner is the way to go, since it makes the built-in cannon match Gauss' resistance bypassing. If you want a more generalized pilot, Basil Lapatte is the best choice, as he boosts the damage of both the built-in cannon and equipped weapons, basically making him a better Adrian Chong for this bot.
As for modules, I think it is worth mentioning that Fortifier is a really good module for this bot, so if you think you can swap that second Nuclear Amplifier for one without loosing too much damage, it is definitely worth it. I only have one level one Nuclear Amplifier on my Jaeger and still can reach ninety charges in a decent amount of time.
When it comes to drones, I would say to stay away from defensive ones like Armadillo. Any drone is better than no drone, so if that is the only you have, it is fine enough, but Jaeger will always be a fragile bot, so I would to just go all in on damage. My drone of choice is Wasp, as it grants a damage boost and has a long-range weapon of its own, two things that greatly compliment Jaeger. I would say Beak and Daltokki are also great drones, and would definitely try both if I had either.
I hope this helps, and if you can, you post a picture/list of your pilot skills and I could give feedback on those too!

Do what you think is best, for my suggestions are only that. I can manage fine with only one Amplifier, but if two serve you better, go for it!

I was running one for a while using two Redeemers just to see if I could. While it was far better than people had said, I don't think that's at all what you're looking to do.
